G Wilson seems to be pretty good at escaping from tough snookers. He played Ding in China one tournament and had to keep getting out of snookers for about 10 shots in a row.
Can anyone explain what's going on from 2:58 on? Why does Saengkham keep taking the miss, even though he has a red over the pocket, and even a free ball at least once (although the video is cut before the ref announces it)?
I think it was because of the point difference and where the black was, and the two reds close together and near the cushion. So with such a good snooker, he felt it was worth gaining the extra points and hoping if Maguire got out of the snooker, he was always going to leave something on. I don't think a top 16 player would do that though, they would have gone for the win themselves, so it's a good indication of the difference between the top players, and the rest.
The bottom red was always going to be on for Noppon. He was hoping that Maguire would get frustrated and would go for the hit and hope as he couldnt nestle on the 2 reds which is what happened and it ended up opening everthing. Agree with Matt though its kinda amateurish and what you would see in the club. Im sure ronnie or a shaun murphy wouldve been confident of their ability to pot the red into corner and then develop the 2 reds from pink or blue. Because you will never if you get the oppurtunity again. In this instance playing the percentage worked out in Noppons favour
@@JalandharShere It's NOT amateurish it's TACTICAL , one of the main points of the game of Snooker is the PSYCHOLOGICAL aspect . If you can upset your opponent and break a run of good form it can work to your advantage , by asking for the white to be put back and forcing your opponent to keep retaking the shot you are getting into his head and basically every time he ( or she ) misses they can become frustrated or irritated . Mind games are a part of EVERY sport .....
Yeah, I've been thinking that - surprised not to have seen as much of him just lately. From the stuff he produces in this video alone, you'd think him destined to win at least one Triple Crown event. Still got loads of time to make a comeback though, and he'd deserve it!
Wilson is very underrated player....he is my favourite when it comes to escape ....i hv seen him doing incredible things many times....his calculation is magic nothing else....salute to wilson

@@Masterdoctorgenius14 Yeah, it's just the difference between the top players, and the rest. A top 16, even 32, would have likely tried to clear up from there, but i understand his thought process, because of where the black was, and where those two reds were. So he probably figured, he could get maybe another few fouls and not have to get all high colours from the remaining reds. So i respect his choice, but definitely shows where he is in terms of skill level.
Hilarious,@@MarkEWallace seriously. Why do people spend hours of time to put videos on UA-cam? It was constructive feedback - the kind intelligent people want - you know, those that want to be as successful as possible in reaching their audience, and not totally wasting their life making shit that is turning people away.
Não é possível isso, porque existem muitos fatores que contrariam as expectativas de um grande jogador. O pior fator para o sucesso "matemático" disso, são as tabelas.
What a useless video. "Very best escapes from snookers", and it starts with a fluke. Continues with missed escapes from snookers. Nothing to see here, move on.
The Higgins one always classic.
Wanted to say the same thing. Absolutely hilarious stuff.
Stability is the piece of mastery
(Sry for my English)
Absolutely he the one☺️
Especially classic cheating in 2010?

"It landed on the red like a butterfly with sore feet!" It is commentary at this level that keeps me enjoying snooker!
12:03 "landed on the red like a butterfly with sore feet." Love it.
I love the exchange of escapes between Fu and Selby, amazing shots.
Maguire going in off out of frustration was classic.
12:31 Mark Selby pauses then pours himself a drink like he knows this will take a while
The Selby v. Fu rally was mental.
5:27 escaping off the jaws is the best one for me
The Ronnie escape, absolutely amazing!

marco fu and Selby around the yellow at 7:00 are just adorable

Now that deserves a tap on the table.
7:06 Maguire in the audience
OMG! The only one who is not clapping, but smiling.
6:45 не часто увидишь, как Марко Фу улыбается… 😉👍😉
13:05 это фантастика от Хиггинса - такого ещё не видел - это точно.. 😁🤪😉🙌🔥

7:03 is that Maguire in the crowd??
Brecel had so much momentum, but has not produced much as of late...I remember he feuded with Judd too, but I guess Judd had the last laugh...😂😂😂

2:57 What you talkin about!?
Watch the first shot in slow mo. Pink first ?

LOL, Allahu Akbar. No. Sadly no.
Not one with McManus?
Never seen a snooker player with tattoos all over his hands.
Why is Maguire in there, he did not esape
Because it's funny to see him get frustrated

I am not banning you from my feed, but it is not an escape if it does not work. "Best Escape Attempts" would be the correct title.
Oh the horror to be banned from your feed.
