- Is Circular Horde Chess balanced? I tried to answer that question, but I might have gotten in a bit over my head with who I decided to challenge...

It was really fun! It took me a bit to get a hang of how it works. It was more balanced that I thought it would be. Once again, I was completely wrong with my assumptions lol.
It breaks your brain trying to keep up with the bishops and especially the queen.

Any plans to add the deckmate game mode back? I was excited to try that game and was a bit disappointed when i downloaded the demo and it wasnt there
Yes! I'm planning a full rework, but I'm graduating from college in a little over a month, so I won't be able to dedicate a ton of time to it until then.
What if you combined circular chess with more variants, like giveaway or atomic?

Black just better. White has 38 points but black has 8+3(6)+5(2)+9+3->for king = 48. White just clearly worse and not to mention because it's a circular chess. Bishops are worth like 4-5points and rooks are 6-7 points and queens are 13-14 points. you should replace rooks with knights. Long range pieces are so op in this gamemode
The current consensus from top players is Pawn 1, Knight 2, Bishop 3, Rook 6, Queen 10

There are many things to consider in this gamemode other than just points. Think of it this way. If everything is well defended you have no choice but to trade a knight for a pawn or two. Of course, pawns are also much stronger due to all of them are passed pawns, which wasnt as strong as I thought it was, but balances it a bit. I dont disagree with your conclusion, but I'm just saying points don't always define how balanced it is.
@@Mattyzer0 The rooks in this mode and a queen are just too powerful. They control the entire ranks and I strategy to win is attack white pawns from the flank because they're defended once and also black has his own pawns so. This is nightmare to play. Just remove knights in center for black and it will be more balanced
