hi amazing job done there.... I cant see the engine test plan on the ebay link- would you pls share me an updated link of the engine stand plan on ebay ?
That's really well done! Looks clean like that. I Bet working on the engine like that is way more enjoyable. Looking to do something similar but I guess I'm gonna make the transmission mount completely as well like you did with the engine mount Making it able to slide around too. Haven't watched part 2 yet but I would think having the gearbox solid mounted like that is going to make it vibrate a lot. Investing in good casters was a smart move! More cheap casters would be infuriating to use. You might see the PU break apart when you roll them around a lot though.
I really like your engine run stand. Simple, just the way I like to do things. I'm about to do the same thing for my 402 chevrolet engine. I just need to figure out how high you made your mount for the bellhousing and the rest should be easy. Thanks for posting.
I sold this stand, but I believe I tell how high the top of the intake manifold is off the ground. You should be able to figure an approximate height using that measurement. I doesn't have to be exact. You should build yours to the height you want anyway.
We have a big metal stand full of metal. Most of it was bought a long time ago for other projects. Some of it was bought when a metal shop near us closed down. This stand isn't a cheap diy stand like most on UA-cam. It's going to cost you if you copy mine but you are going to have something cool when done. I actually sold this stand for $3k and built another one with a few tweaks.
The only improvement i would suggest on this stand so far is the bolts to lockdown the crossmember tube personally I would have put them on the inside of the frame that way I won't catch my ankle or anyting else in the shop when I'm pushing it around. Other than that fantastic build even if it is over built that's the way I do things too. So it's perfect for this guy.
I am not sure why they stopped selling their plans. I can't give them to anybody because they aren't my plans. I do share a bunch of my measurements on the stand that I made during the video.
I have around $1500 in parts in this stand. I had the steel. You could get some cheaper parts if you wanted to save some money. The gauges were not cheap. I have pretty much everything I used listed in the description and comment section linked for easy access.
Does anyone know where to find the plans? It's not listed in ebay anymore. I have looked all over and can't find how to reach the individual selling them.
I see the guy has stopped selling the plans. For me to measure everything and figure out all the hole locations probably wouldn't be worth the time to sell plans.
@@mossman381 not really sure what you mean, why do you purchase a blueprint then waste time trying to figure out something different? I am a firm believer in not just doing to be doing. Time waster is money waster in my business.
If you watched the video, in the beginning I explain about using the blueprints as a reference. I wanted to build my own stand for what I need. I am not selling these stands. One of my businesses is my UA-cam channel. I get paid to work on projects like this.

Rats! I kept seeing the stand, but could never get the plans. :( @@mossman381

What did this Man forget ? Nothing , he forgot nothing . It was a pleasure watching !
10:20 Called a Transfer Punch. They come as a set the same sizes as a drill bit set. Nicely done, I like the improvements you made over the plans!
Really nice stand. Great job.
Thank you!
A good looking engine deserves a good looking stand, beautiful work on both your engine and it's stand!
Thank you very much!
Good ideas and engine lift clearance was outstanding
Very professional job!
Thanks

No vibration. Runs really smooth solid mounted. All the engines I ran anyway.
I like all the adjustability you built into it.
I can't wait to finish it. If the parts would show up I could.
Good video, enjoyed watching and getting ideas from it.

42" high was what you stated. Piece of cake. @@mossman381
Thanks im buying the material and building this tomorrow !!
Turned out really good! Nice job
I am pretty happy with it so far.
man that's nice. You also must have some nice spare metal hanging around....currently that's probably about 150-200 bucks worth of metal.

Where can I get the plans from I clicked on the link it’s not coming up??
The guy stopped selling them for some reason.
Hey, the link doesn't work for the ebay prints. Anyway I could get a copy from you?
I can't give away or sell someone else's plans. He stopped selling them for some reason.
Keep the videos coming 😊
I can't get the plans. Link doesn't exist. Anyone able to get their hands on those build plans? Would really like to obtain. Thanks
Any ideal where to order the stand plans at now? Link does not work on Ebay?
Don't know why he stopped selling plans. I could have helped him sell a bunch of them, but he stopped shortly after I made this video.
Excellent video!
I hope to have the finish video this week if I can get all the parts I need.
They no longer sell the blue print can you please share some dimensions 🙏🏽

@@mossman381 ok respect
What size tube is the crossmember. Looks like 3 x 3 but hard to tell in the vid.
I don't know off hand. It slid over the 2x2. I will try to remember to measure when I get in the shop.
Probably 2.5" x 2.5" x 3/16" wall thickness. Should slide over 2" tubing nicely
Well done great job, I’m pretty sure you can modify it.
Top notch job my friend. Are you going to paint? Love the video's.
Thanks, it will get some sort of paint job.
Hey there! Great stand! Want one for a flat head
L8, but the plans are no longer available for purchase on eBay. Would you sell me a copy? Thanks!
Do you have a copy of the plans? They don't appear to be available anymore
I can't sell them because I don't own the rights to them.
What price on building tthis

Whats the part number of the bellhousing? Btw love the work you have done on this test stand !
I am not sure of the part # but I have one linked in the description and the comment section that should be the same.
This is the part # of the one I used but any bellhousing should work for a run stand: 460486
