In the States, we call those bugs (No Seeums).
Hi there, thanks very much for visiting my channel and for watching this video. Those bugs were a nightmare. Have a look at my most recent upload, no more bugs there this time, it was -5 degrees :)
Too bad your losing your footage, Gareth, that sucks. But other than the flies, you had a nice day. The bit of fancy silver is lovely!❤
Hello there, yes accidents happen and mistakes are made, even when only transferring video across from my camera to my computer. But we live and we learn :) Thanks as always for tuning in
merry Christmas to you and all yours ,looking forward to the next one
Hi Tom, cheers buddy, Merry Christmas and a soon to be Happy New Year to you and your tribe. Catch you in the year 2024. Sorry for the slow reply. I have like 400 comments to reply to currently :o)

Hi John, haha yes that is a great saying, went right to the back of my throat that begger did!! Hope you are all set for Christmas?
Omg i laughed so hard at your lord of the flies. Good times, thanks for the laughs.
Haha those flies were an absolute nightmare, never experienced anything like it before. Winter season has begun now = no flies 🥳🥳🥳
Top video bud , loved the intro some cracking footage, that bit of silver was nice my thoughts was a flattened piece of a walking cane 🤔 👍
Now then Shawn good to hear from you mate, hope you been having better luck than me detecting wise recently? Had so much bad weather here I've hardly been out at all. Got 11 days off work at Christmas, hoping to spend at least 3 full days detecting. Hope you have a gooden
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshirehey up bud nah not been out for three weeks and with weather it’s been pants so I have sacked it ,all the best have a top Xmas and a Merry new year 🥃🥃🥃

Hello Gareth hope you and your family are all ok.
Beautiful video again I hate when there is loads of flies there horrible creatures not a fan of creepy crawlies.
I got bit at Ringwood Park helping Stephen rescue some ducklings didn't feel it at the time but next day my leg and ankle was really swollen.
An horsefly had bitten me I still have the scars on my leg.
Look forward to your next video take care 😊.
Hi Dawn, all good here thanks, had a very relaxing Christmas break, not been on UA-cam and am behind on my replies, apologies about that. Horse fly bites are the worst, the bigger they are, the harder they bite. It is only the female ones that bite too apparently. Thanks as always for your support, see you in 2024. G
Nice video Gareth rain in just t shirt lol Nice finds lovely scenery no changes on sen full tones interesting have lovely Xmas
Hi mate, it was unseasonably warm on this day haha. This goes from one extreme to another in my latest upload today :) Thanks for tuning in, I hope you have a great Christmas too, hoping to do my Christmas giveaway soon, 3 spectacular prizes
Happy Christmas to you and family
Your videos are a great start to any day.. Nice bit of silver!
I've got an hour spare today, where I've got permission, so I'm going to see what I can find 😊
Those bugs looked like they were getting in your nerves 😳
Hi mate, yeah unfortunately a bit delayed this one, as always struggling to meet deadlines!! I don't know why they just seem to take longer and longer to edit. But I'll keep rolling them out. Next episode should be fun, proper frozen landscape -5 degree's!! Thanks as always for taking time out your day to watch
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire doesn't matter how long they take, they are always a good watch.
Your brave, out in -5!!
Look forward to it 😀
Take care.
Gutted you lost all of that content mate, but if you’re showing videos still from September at least you have the content backed up to keep the vids coming. Another lovely vision of Derbyshire through your lens Gaz, and some really nice coins there bud. New Year dig dates coming your way soon bud xx
Hey Marcus, I still have some content from summer 2022, yet to edit. I am reluctant because I did not have the drone then, and when I look at the footage, it seems a lower standard as what I am capturing now. Apologies for the slow reply, I am so behind on replies at the moment. Hope you and your clan had a great Christmas, speak soon x
Great video Gareth 😊
Hi there, thanks so much for your kind words, and also for watching and supporting my channel. I hope to see you again. Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2024. G + family
Watching at the time when now rain is pissing down, all my permits flooded :( but I am enjoing with you😁. Well done nice siver artefact😉 Regards from Wales🤪
Hi mate ah I hope your permissions have dried out (doubtful), the weather has been so bad over the last few weeks, I have really struggled to get out detecting. Thanks as always for tuning in. G
Woohoo 👍👍
Hi Jillian, thanks for checking out my most recent video. I hope that you are enjoying the early festivities and looking forward to Christmas. I have a week off soon and hope to be able to get some metal detecting in :)
We all like a bit of rain... But only a bit. Nice bit of Victorian silver. Insects love a bit of sweet Gaz! I think you lost it a bit at the end, with the Schwarzenegger look! 😂

Cool vid again ..!😁
If you get elder tree leaves, crush them and rub it on your skin it helps to repell the b#stards ..!
After watching your vid you have encouraged me to charge my head torch get me wet gear on and go detecting on the farm tonight 🙂
Keep up the good work dude .
Hi Marcus, wow I never heard of that one before, gotta love using nature to fight back against those insects! Apologies for the slow reply, I have so many comments to reply to currently, takes me an ages to catch up. How's did you get on during your night time detecting trip on the farm?
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire no worries mate, I understand that you make the effort to reply and how many comments you get..!
I found a crusty Georgian most likely George III, a couple of buttons and foil, I have detected the farm heavily with the AT PRO and now I am using the nox 800, good finds are rare now but the nox is finding the smaller deep targets.
I enjoyed your top ten video,
I have to say I was envious, I have only 4 of your top ten..! 😁
All the best, Marcus.
@@marcussmith7694 most of mine were found with my trusty AT Pro. Great machine, but feels heavy and pretty awful after many years with lightweight machines. I reply to everyone, sooner or later 😁 Happy New Year
Great vid mate like always! Arsenal are great and Tottenham is Spursy again! Nothing changes. 😊
Hi Stewart, thanks for the kind words. Aye Arsenal doing great, but Liverpool, Villa and City are up there too. Hoping for an Everton win tonight!
Thanks again 👍🏼
You are welcome, thank you very much for taking time out your day to watch and support my channel. G
I was on 2.0 but moved back to 1.1, I see your on 0.71 do you think that is the version to be at? The opening was amazing my friend. Summer rains can be unpredictable. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there thanks for the channel visit. Its all down to personal preference. I only search old pasture fields in the UK. I tried 1.0 and 1.1, but both versions introduced falsing and a instability. Went back to 0.71 and the machine was quiet again. I sometimes wonder if my Firmware upgrades went wrong or something but I see masses of people with the same issue
Nice video bud nice few bits there keep it up mate 👍 something good will come out of there soon 👍 😀
Flippin eck fancy seeing you here, thought you'd packed up metal detecting to concentrate on the growth of the worlds population haha. Congrats on your latest, you must have half a dozen by now?

Hi Gary, as always thank you for visiting my channel and thanks for pointing out that video earlier today. Must be doing something right if folk are stealing my content !!
Another great video, some decent finds, nice little piece of silver, what ever it is 🤣 shame about that deleted footage definitely would of been a good video but that's the way it is. Hope you and the family are well, keep it up as always

Thanks for another great video. Which pinpointer do you use? I want one!
Hi Chris, thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words. I use the XP Mi6 pinpointer. I like this one because it is rechargeable, works great and is well built just like most XP products. I do like the orange Garrett carrot pinpointer too, but it is not rechargeable so I use it now only as a backup. Thanks again
Hi mate , if i had lost all those files i would have cried it's bad enough to have one or two files corrupted but all the lot is a disaster !! , anyway don't recognise the bit of silver ? and as for the decimal 1 pence and half pence pieces i hat them banging signals and you are convinced it's a silver coin !!! and then you see the dam thing in the plug 😤,
anyway good video pal ATB Rob .
Haha all those pennies add up to them pounds :) Thanks as always for the visit, apologies for the slow reply, hope you had a great Christmas. G
Great job buddy. First time I’ve seen you swear lol
Hi mate, haha you would be amazed at the amount of times I have sweared, but either cut out or bleeped out. Sometimes I like to leave them in, but mute them and add the bleep, I feel like it adds something. I see some channels openly swearing, this is something I don't really agree with and you will never see on my channel. Thanks as always for coming along and watching
Gaz, thought I'd show off and let you know I am watching this on the plane, 32k feet in the air, on the last leg of my journey to oz lol
Ayup Paul, haha no way that is awesome! Sorry only just seen this comment and ever so slowly working my way through. You are probably back in UK now? We've booked to go to Canada in June, and apparently our plane has wifi too woooo

I wonder what that silver fragment was from? Hey mate after i sorted out nearly the entire collection of king George the fifth Florins (im three dates short of a full house) i ended up with exactly 4 kilos and 10 ounces of silver thats not counting the shillings 🙂👍⛏️
Hi mate, I think it will be off the handle to a Victorian mirror or sewing tool or similar. Great stuff about the Florins. I noticed you have since deleted the video, how come you done that?!?
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire I realised I gave too much of the location away and we might want to go back there but next time with garden forks so I re-edited the footage cutting out any landmarks that may give others the opportunity to nighthawk the place 🙂👍
Hey Gareth great video! I have lovely George I dump half penny which is in decent condition, by the way have you found any bullheads whilst metal detecting?
Hello Julia, thanks as always for watching and for your kind words. I have never found a proper 'Bullhead' ie a George III half crown with the portrait which includes his back and shoulders. I have found a dozen or so George III silver coins though. Most people call any George III silver coin a bullhead. Do a search on Google for George III Half Crown, you'll see the one I mean. Amazing coins
Thar america guy done another short video of you and the George 3rd gold coin,he did mention your website,so got to be great for you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

3 hours? Please don't start time limits for the greatest hobby .
Unfortunately I am not blessed with the freedom of some.. I work a full time job, I have a 2 year old daughter that I love to spend time with at weekends, I have all the famil commitments that come with life and this leaves me very little time to go metsl detecting. I take every chance I get because I am passionate about my hobby. On this particular day I had 3 hours and took it with both hands. 3 hours is better than 0 hours 😁
What shovel is that?
Hello there, thanks very much for watching this video. The spade is a Noble MDT stainless steel spade made in the UK by a guy called Carl. If you go on instagram or facebook and search Noble MDT, you'll find him. I actually made a dedicated review video all about this spade. You can see it here if you wish:
