There's always partial truth in a lot of these "slander" meme videos. But it's basically an exaggeration of small truths that make it funny and relatable. San Diego is just regarded as probably the best big city in SoCal. It's a very good place to live if you're going to pick SoCal city life. Lower crime than LA, beaches, tons of state parks and attractions, very diverse because of its proximity to Tijuana, good colleges too.
