Yeah man, I love the KD16. A couple things I can hip you to. I don't know if Nike did this intentionally but this model looks like a low top, reworked Penny 2. I love Penny Hardaway's kicks, so these grabbed my attention based on that. These are better cushioned though. Then the clockwork thing, KD has a thing for expensive watches, Nike said back when the KD6 was out. I had the KD 6 Elite Gold & they said that design is inspired by the inner workings of a watches. One of the joints you can see thru. But yeah, I have 2 pair of these 16's & I may get more if they keep dropping different colorways.
Definitely Penny vibes all day. In a few weeks they are gonna drop the price on a lot of these at retail, so hold off and you'll be able to get 2 for 1 on these. The watch gears make perfect sense and I didn't know that at all. Nike killed KDs sales with the price increases though. 150-160 a pair is tough if you really hoop when you can find so many kicks discounted at Nike Clearance. Great comment though!!
@archbyccb Yeah man, I bought a lot of sneakers this year because a LOT of stuff I wanted was easy to get/find. I also appreciate this video. I love to see people appreciate shoes in depth.
