Rui's story was so sad, this show does a really great job at making you feel bad for the "Villains" and I love how Tanjiro talks about respect, saving the demons, and thinking about how they all use to be humans once. His empathy is something to learn from ... 😭

The best thing is that there is no reason to pick between shows, I enjoyed 99% of anime i've seen, or at least some arcs of them, and there is no reason for me to pick between Dragon Ball, Bleach, Naruto, Demon Slayer, etc, i can enjoy them all!

Shinobu Kochō is my favorite demon slayer... she's snarky and deadpan. In particular, her interactions with Giyu in the show and the shorts is amazing.
It was great seeinh more of Shinobu's charismatic crazy side and I just love Giyu, he looks angry, but his elegance is undeniable.
It's been fun experiencing S1 again through your eyes Flexie.
Just hearing this intro and all the shows you are watching, you are getting into some of the most PEAK anime I've ever seen
Shinobu is a VERY complex character that one can completely misread if they're not paying close attention
I totally understand you. I've seen literally a few hundred animes and "Demon Slayer" is a master piece. Is the story as complex as "Attack On Titan"? Nope. Is the main focus on the story? Nope.
It's just a perfect Shounen. "Demon Slayer" has really great character building in terms of morality and so lovely drawn with "chibi" influence. And this anime is not like "Game Of Thrones", the manga is finished a while ago and the story is awesome with a great ending.
While my heart wants to be like Tanjiro, I am more like Shinobu.
Wonder what character you will relate to the most. I will ask you after season 3.

theres a show called Kakegurui thats about a high school of rich kids that decide their social order through gambling. the VA for shinobu plays the main character in that and her placid psychopathy is on display full tilt. it really captures the tension of gambling and the cruelty of winning PERFECTLY. might be a good reaction choice.
People who hate on Demon Slayer (and other S tier animes) have one of two or both reasons
1) they don't like that their own favorite anime is getting overshadowed
2) they don't like sentimentality in their media (i,e prefer action or humor over indepth story telling)
People who honestly think any S tier anime is "mid" have not watched a lot of anime because there is a lot of forgetable garbage out there and it doesnt get that famous because it's garabage

Believe it or not demon slayer was actually inspired by bleach, and at the end of the episode when you met the hashira, they kinda resemble as captains cause hashira is the highest rank.

Rui was really strong and could have beaten the lower 1 or 2 if he didn’t share his blood with his so called family 😢 And Muzan adored him a lot and that’s why he had a special permission to have a family (cuz usually muzan makes demons fight each other to avoid rebellion)! I personally wanted see more fight scenes of Tomioka

I m just guessing but I think so After S3 people starting to hate demon slayer because S3 didnt reached up to its hype and everyone where having high expectations
Not really because "it didn't reach the hype". It's mainly because the studio is just milking the anime to get as much money as they can. There was mugen train movie and then the exact same content was in the first 8 episodes of 2nd season. The newest released movie has mostly recap of entertainment district. The 4th season is just hashira training (which was like 2 chapters, I think) and some other anime only stuff and some other light novels. There's literally 0 main story in the 4th season. So yeah, ofcourse people will hate it.
People dont like DS because they belive the story is too simple and is carried by animation. So if it didnt have the pretty animation it wouldnt be as popular as it is today

Shonen is supposed to be simple because it's targeted towards teens and older kids, if people want complexity that is what Seinen is for

The issue with Demon slayer comes later, story gets a little stale but there's still some good moments (wait till we get to the Upper moons).
well i hated this arc specifically because of the crap writing, tanjiro is supposedly a kindly sort, yet he fails again and again at saving a single person, the only sensible person is Zenitsu, fitting seeing as he's also the only one to save anyone who needed help.

Tanjiro protected and saved multiple people in season one. Saves and protects Nezuko, saves that kid during the final selection thing, protects and saves Lady Tamayo and Yushiro, saves the kids stuck in Kyogai the drum demon's house, protects Zenitsu from Inosuke, protects Inosuke from Mother's giant puppet, and he and Nezuko save each other during the fight with Rui. Tanjiro then continues to consistently save and protect people. Also the writing, especially during the whole spider thing was amazing, especially Rui's backstory and realizing that Muzan took advantage of a small, sickly child and used the idea of family to manipulate and control him.
