My first "okay/decent" deck was a Marath deck. Then 1.5 years ago I disassembled it to use it for making many other decks. Now I have returned to her and made a new Marath deck. Santa's crazy, lit reindeer is back at it again!
Great video! I'm also marath player. Just returned to edh. I went with branching evolution for now because I don't know if its the right time to buy doubling seasons. I feel it's overdue for a reprint again 😂. I also run Crystalline Crawler as a second Cryptic Trilobite. Now I'm thinking of adding the old Purphoros, God of the Forge and lean towards tokens 🤔
Wow!... Crystaline Crawler would be an extra layer of redundancy and Branching Evolution is perfect too. I have Branching in my Ezuri deck (which I'll make a vid for at some point) but didn't think about getting another one for Marath until now. Thanks so much for your input! This is exactly why I wanted to make these videos. Cheers 1000%.
I also have a Marath deck that I have had for quite awhile now. The power level was high for the time, but with the newer cards that have been printed I have been struggling to continue to play my favorite pet cards and still keep the deck somewhat consistent. I have been looking around for inspiration from other Marath players, but with the commander being as old as it is not too many people are talking about it anymore outside of cedh which is not where I want to be playing. I am aiming to be just below that range.
Same problem for me. New capenna commander has some new cardsthat are awesome with marath. I'm also looking at kamigawa neon dynasty for the modified cards. I might go will full combo build for now with marath. Went with semi control last time but marath sometimes just don't stick with the board like the old days 😂

I love Marath so much! It's so under rated in my experience of playing it. Marath is my combo queen
