Land based fishing | Portland | Victoria | Australia | Lures+Bait

Getting back to basics with this video, I head down to Portland to explore around the land based fishing locations. My original plan was to head to the rock walls and beaches around the area chasing the Salmon, but I either kept missing them or there was not too many around the area yet. I managed to get into a few fish once I changed my target species and had a couple of great arvos and mornings having quick flicks before or after work with lures and bait!
Big snapper, kingfish, huge salmon and squid can all be caught in the area at the right time of the year, I cant wait to head back to Portland for another try at the fishing around the area.
Couta and Zebra fish were my saviour this trip!
The little 1-3kg Shimano Catana is a little hero of a rod, it even handled flicking a metal lures around for the couta this time! I put that poor little rod through hell haha.
