1. they did not read your covering letter or cv, some assitant or hr had a glimpse, but that's it. They probably printed your cv 5 min before the job interview. Most likely they have a role to fill and 10 other applicatns with similar skills - if they like you they will hire you,.
Hello. As a man, living in Russia and studying foreign languages, i want to express my gratitude to you for such an informative content. In Russian part of UA-cam there are only grammar videos and something like “how I leaned English”. But the work you’re doing greatly helps me to improve my communicational skills and to look at the language I study „from inside“. Thanks a lot, keep it going!
Hello from Ukraine, bro💪

- How was your job interview yesterday?
- Well, I entered the office, found a man sitting on a large black leather chair with feet resting on the table...
He pointed towards his Laptop, asked me to take it and go outside, then come back and try to sell him the laptop.. He thought himself as actor Leonardo Di Caprio of "The Wolf of Wall Street" movie..
So I took the laptop and left..
- Left...!! Then what?
- Nothing 30 minutes later he called me up... begging me to return his laptop to him coz all his work and important documents were in it..
So I asked him: *Will you buy it ??*
and he called the cops and you got charged for robbery. and humanity lost faith in you. and I'm so frustrated with my life I just came replying to random comments ... I need a job :'( I'm smart and friendly .... this is killing me so bad

He is like my Father giving me a detailed instructions and inspirations coming from his heart, that's why i love this video.
This is by far THE BEST video on how to answer the question "Tell Me About Yourself".
It explains:
1) What interviewers REALLY want to hear.
2) The main points you should include in your answer and in what order
3) How to deliver the answer (Duration / Tone of voice / Gestures /Attitude)
4) and most importantly an ACTUAL EXAMPLE!!!
I have an interview next week, tell me about yourself is the most challenging part for me, but watching this video made me relax a little bit. wish me, well guys.
I just watched this right before my interview and guess what????
Interview that takes maximum 10 minutes for all before me took about 30 minutes when I entered.
It turned out to be a conversation between them and I.
They actually asked how much of a notice I need to give to my employers before I quit.
I think I got the job 🕺🕺🕺
Really? very interesting, I need to practice this for my next interview.. I consider myself really good at job, but as good when I try to impress with my short pitch apparently..
Interviewer: tell me about yourself
Me: pass
😂
🤣🤣
Few months have passed by since I last saw this, and I got what I wanted !!! I'm here to thank you, good sir. May you get all the best things in life. MILLION THANKS.
Hiring Manager: Tell me about yourself
Tommy Shelby: Have you ever been to France?
In brief, you have to convince them that they need you not you need them... 😊 You aren't only an English teacher but a life teacher too...👍
I think I can't find good teacher better than you.... ALLAH BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.... A BUNDLE OF THANKS
2023. Thank you for this. This video said a lot (not the joke), I really enjoyed watching it, the presenter made it clear ... formal & informal
Got the job!! Thank you so much, I’ve failed many interviews before and every one of them asked this question. After watching this video and using it in my next one, got an offer the same day. Amazing advice!!

6:42 I've never worried about my Grandma during an interview.
I came back to this video a few months later to show it to my partner this particular comment. Still laughing!
I was once when Grandma was going for an interview, she didn't have good grammar.
I like this guy. English is not my first Language but he speak very clearly
OMG. In the final example, you totally nailed it. I got a huge idea about how to start & how to end. Thank you so much. Keep teaching us with these.
I follow this channel now for a month and this guy is a real teacher. So well spoken..
This example is so smooth and blends the personal and professional soooo well!
This is the second of several of your videos I planned to watch in preparation for an upcoming interview. I must admit that your information isn't JUST for interviews. Your tips for the 'TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF' question are applicable everywhere. I learned more in a few minutes here than I did in a weekend at the library. Thanks again.
Beautifully described .. I hope I can use this one
I am so glad I watch this videos!!!
Thank you !
Got the job just because of watching your videos!!!There were 2 rounds and I just got the appointment letter now!Thank You!!!

Perfect teacher!
The BEST example by far of how to respond to this question!! Thank you!
Of all videos I have watched, this is the only one that makes sense. Thank you.
2 minutes top chrono, his example speech.. Nice and brief
Love your advice! I always hated the “tell me about yourself” question but now I have a better idea on how to answer it. Thank you!!
The example he gives at the end for anyone that needs it (obviously change it to match your own experience and the role you've applied for).
I would describe myself as someone who is versatile and determined and someone who loves learning. I am creative, open minded, easy going and I enjoy working with others. I try to use all these qualities in my professional life.
For the last 6 years, I have been working at (insert company name here). I started out at the help-desk where I worked closely with clients and I built some good relationships. After that I did a number of roles in the company and have been promoted several times.
Now for the last 3 years I have been working as a project manager. The company has been pretty successful and I’d like to think that I contributed to that success. My team has been developing accounting software for the publishing industry and within 2 years, we’ve come from nowhere to being the number one product in the field.
Actually, I wasn’t looking for a new job as I am quite happy where I am and I came across your job advertisement by accident. But I really captivated my imagination. Your company is renowned for being one of the most innovative in the sector. I know this might be a more senior role than my current position, but I do have the skills, experience and the passion you need. I do believe I can make a positive impact and that is why I am here today.
In a nutshell that is who I am as a professional and when I’m not working I like to go hiking on the weekends and I like reading books.
This is one of the best I have seen. Clearly explained. Thank you.
I watched all your videos on interview and I got the job. The first interview got me the job. Thank you. Your channel brings luck! I think it's your confidence, humor, and playful attitude overall. On interview I looked laid back, positive, and asked them only one question - "what's your company's vision?" They said they fell in love with me ))) Thanks again!
I got hired! I downloaded your video, watched it on the day before the interview and a few minutes before that too. Thank you!
You are brilliant!!! Thank you so much.
You are my best tutor ever. I have learned numbers of missing points that i have been misunderstood for ages. Big thank.
I’m 15 2 years away from getting a job and I’ve been reviewing lots of advice for a the future job I want and your tips where very helpful I took notes on this thank you so much!! God bless you
Same here mate
Sry i read it as 152 years away😂😂
Thank you for the video! I just got a job as an ESL online teacher and I did exactly as you advised us and it worked for me! Thank you so much! :)
Very helpful! And love YOUR eye contact! It's just like you're talking directly and earnestly to me!
Greetings Gideon, so worthy your videos as always. thanks for them.
Good job man. You know how to distill the information to the essentials. Thanks for the lesson...
Brilliant video and content. Extremely useful lesson to learn. I know I’m going to remember to use this information not only when asked at job interviews, but on meeting people throughout my life. This is a hugely important lesson and I’m eternally grateful to you. Thank you so much!
Thanks, I got the job.
This was my second interview!
Frankly, it didn't went that way strictly. He just saw that I love to work with software (I'm a civil engineer) from the first question and we started talking about that and the current state of BIM and Hydrology studies. The conversation was really good and fluent, having this conversational basis helped me alot!.
Thank you!
I have an interview in an hour, and binge watching your videos to help with nerves. They're so helpful!
Exactly this question has been my worst nightmare for over three years. One day I finally proceeded to convince myself to go to one competition in english conversation and this was the very first thing that they had asked me about. I'll tell you this, I failed it miserably. Thank you pal, the video has helped me a lot, especially the part when you are showing us an example on how to solve this. I'm just hoping that this shit is never going to happen to me again :D.
That was an outstanding video! The example answer at the end gave me a good sense of what needs to be said and about how much time to say it. Thank you!
Thank you. Your comment is outstanding.
He didnt tell an example actually

I'm watching this right now as I have a phone call interview this evening. This episode really turns me on and I'm working on reorganizing my self-introduction.
Big thanks from China. Great day and good luck to myself : )
FYI, “turns me on” in English usually means you’re saying you’re sexually aroused. Instead, say “piques my interest” or “speaks to me” or “is relevant for me”
Are you the new English teacher? Yes, I are !

Hi Radu. Im curious to know. did you get the job?!
Hello everyone ! It's been a skype interview and the feedback was positive. I'll have another interview face to face the 9th of november when i'll meet the top managers (it's a goooood job). They aren't english speakers so they understood me :D I think :)) at the begining I was a little bit nervous but then it was ok. It's been a second interview for this job, the first one was with a romanian recruiter, the second one skype with two managers of the company and the next one it'll be the 9th of november face to face with the managers and the recuiter too. So we'll keep in touch !
Best video on the topic!
