Yes, the Piccolo SE is still available - I bought one on Black Friday and used it for my last two shaves (one with each plate). A very nice little razor.
That WAS a quick shave. I'll be doing an all-Proraso shave tomorrow. Well almost. I ran out of the Proraso pre-shave and will substitute Noxzema cleansing cream which I find smells almost the same and works as well. Plus, it's about 1/10th the cost. Enjoy the Christmas party!
Fairly new to DE shaving and it has been a interesting journey. Started with a base model Viking. It was good enough to get me hooked, so I bought a parker adjustable (was not a fan) so I tried Rockwell 6C after I found the right baseplate, I loved it, then wife bought me a Gillette slim from the same quarter and year of my birth- IMO it blew the Rockwell out of the water, then a friend just gave me an old box of Gillette’s, I have a 1904, 1908, 1931 and a 54 fatboy from that box fatboy is good but like the slim more, then I ventured in to the old open combs and absolutely love them. So out of boredom I thought I would try a “new” open comb and got this fatip because it looked cool, I was convinced no one made razors like the old Gillette, gotta tell ya this I my new daily- this thing rocks!! Only razor I have in my collection that has never given me a bleeder, or even a weeper. Might see if they make a little bigger handle but this thing is great
I bought the standard nickel-plated Piccolo open comb. I don't see why there would be much difference with a closed comb guard. Nice razor for only around $20.00. I love the weight of the razor. Can't beat the price these days for a solid brass razor.
Great shave. I used the Proraso Green soap just days ago. I used to use it a lot when I didn’t have artisan soaps during my early days of wet shaving. These days, as I’ve gotten better soaps overtime, the Proraso soaps that I got have been stored away, and I very rarely use them for shaves ever since. Have a good one!
Great shave Ken. Proraso Green is my all time favorite and I like using Pinaud's Osage Rub which is a heavy mentholated aftershave splash which is like adding ice cubes to your face.
Great shave Ken. I had an ironic laugh to myself because I only seem to use preshave when I use Proraso. I wonder if it's a (great) marketing ploy for us wet shavers that can't stop buying products! Any time I use my Proraso green soap I HAVE to use my preshave with it but any other soap I never use preshave.
My barber is an older gentleman from Italy who has been in the US for around 50 years, but still has a thick accent. He told me he shaves with a bar of soap, so I brought him a tub of Proraso. I don't think he had ever seen it before!
Hi Ken, greetings from Texas! I had a Prorasso shave today myself. Red for me. I should have used the Prorasso shave brush that I "won" from you. I forgot though!
Nice video my friend. I just bought a 1920 Gillette on eBay along with some of the Wilkinson Sword blades to go with it. My daily driver is the Rockwell 6s that i pair with the Feather blade that SinatraLennon uses. I love the razor but i think the Feather blade might be too aggressive for my skin because it leave a lot of irritation afterwards. Maybe ill have better results with the Wilkinson Swords. I discovered wet shaving just fairly recently and decided that i like how a elegant shave makes you feel all fresh afterwards. The wife agrees too. Keeping the wife happy is a Happy Life. I can’t complain, she is a good woman. I hope you had a good time at the party. Ill see you on the next one. Take care. - Josh
Hello, looking for advice. Currently running Edwin Jagger DE89, want to step up and try something more aggressive. Muhle R41 look's a bit to harsh from videos on UA-cam. Edwin Jagger 3one6 way too expensive. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Hey ken, thanks for the review, I actually got my dad this razor for Christmas.

Nice and easy shave when the wife said shave you say yes dear, lol 🪒have a good time 💈
Thanks, you too!
I have the Piccolo SE as well and the open comb is just as smooth as the closed comb.
Do the Piccolo’s have any blade overhang?
@@miket00123 it does have a little bit of a over hang but not much. The blade almost sits flush with the ends.

the products of the Italian barbershop are excellent, and as always pleasant and relaxing the best you tube channel on shaving, Go Ken

Hello Master specialist shaving. Cool Kensurf big Dude California.
Hi Ken.
The brush is not Italian. Although painted with the Italian flag colors, it's a Portuguese Semogue Excelsior boar brush.
Wife was right, and I could see it from over here on old continent. :o)
Lol👍👍💈💈
A fine looking razor, would love to see if the twig could handle the goatee 🐐
Cheers🍻🥃
All 4 teams I liked in the World Cup are gone. I think I am now pulling for Mr. Messi and Argentina.

Is there a difference between the open comb on the Fatip Piccolo SE and the regular Piccolo?
