We performed at Taino Towers in NYC for the Wednesday Salsa Nights. Featured soloist are: J.R. DeJesus-piano & Mike Freeman-Vibes. An old school dancer puts on a show at the start of this song, the classic Eddie Palmieri number from circa 1969.

I am surfing the New York clubs from Baltimore, MD, I use to live in Brooklyn, NY, than moved upstate to complete grad school at RIT. At present, I am looking for these old school dancers living vicariously through their movement, I missed the late nights when I would dance at the Copa and some of the original mambo dancers were on the floor at 3 to 4 am in the morning, and they had to be pushing 80.that was 30 yrs ago. I said when I reach their age, although I am in my 60s I wanted to move like them so I studied hard their footwork and timing when I went to Puerto Rico back in the day to dance, the dancer were asking me where did I learn to dance, I said New York or "la gran ciudad" especially at Jimmy's Bronx Cafe, Latin Quarters, The Wild Palms, and Orchard Beach, you had to protect your partner on the dance floor or "turn on a dime and have change left over."
