I think it's a very big problem because i see what's happened to Thailand over the past 20 years, people went there as tourists then they told other people about the prostitutiion, and created a bigger demand for prostitutes, and so they had more prostitutes and more tourist went their for that, and now it's a very strange place where it's hard to be friends with the locals cause they often just assume western men are there for prostitutes. I certaiinly wouldn't like to see that happen to the Philipines, i'd like to see the ecconomy continue to develope there and for women to know that they do have other options.

Thailand has been like that for far more than 20 years. I was there in 82-83 and it wasn't any different then than it is now. And yes, I'm in my 60's now. Haven't been there since then, but I see UA-cam vids all the time. Walking street hasn't changed at all hardly. Only real diference now is that there are more Russians working there now, and the ladybois are harder to detect...lol I'll stay in the US for now. ;)

No respectable man wants a woman with a high body count. Woman can no longer pair bond and will always compare you with all the other men she has had.Virginity in every culture throughout history has been a virtue for a reason. High body count is not good for men either but men can still pair bond.

Women who are desparate and poor sometimes turn to prostitution just to survive but choosing that lifestyle always destroys those who choose it. I do not judge them for choosing it but theres always a price to pay for decisions that we all make. Thanks for another great video, take care and God bless you.

It doesn't matter. High body count for women is not important anymore. Anyone who says it's important gets laugh at... What's the point of getting married when the one you are marrying has already high body count and traumatized several times. Pay and play is better now a days. Better for both parties. The woman wants money, the man wants sex.

The Fuentes Family Your content is excellent I think sometimes sometimes a girl has to do what she has to do to make her money to feed her family. I wouldn't personally. I wouldn't be a girl like that, but I see where somebody has to do what they have to do to feed her family. And I said that you have to rely or sleep that low to feed your family.
Unfortunately, the world is not. Fair, I wish everybody had the same amount of resources and things. Unfortunately, it's not like that and if I could do it. I would never have everybody. I do have a concern with prostitution in the Philippines, and it has to do with their culture and society norms where it is more acceptable NOT to use contraceptives and protection here. I'm not sure if their strong Catholic background has anything to do with this, but it exists and it should be a concern for everyone.

FYI, Catholicism does not in any way, require the lay people to be perfect. People are people. The Church does not tolerate the evildoings, but it does not condemn or reject the sinful. And judgment does not come from people like yourself.
Better not to touch on religion as a subject if you have no or very little understanding about it.

Interesting topic. While I don't advocate for prostitution or making it legal in the Philippines, in some countries they have learned to regulate it to protect the women more and discourage organized crime from using it as a way to make money. I think they should not prosecute the prostitute and only charge the customer with a crime. This makes it easier for the women to come forward if they are harmed in some way. This has been done in some counties with some positive results. It would be nice if no one wanted to use prostitutes but I think this is something that will always exist one way or the other. Regulating it in some way is usually better than just making it illegal.

An interesting question would've been "Would you date (or better yet, marry) a man who enjoys prostitutes?"
Women might not openly condemn a woman who chooses to do so because they presume there's a sympathetic reason (poverty, etc) how they view the men on the other hand...

In my personal opinion, I don't think so. I believe there is more prostitution going on in Thailand than in The Philippines. There is more distinction in the Philippines than in Thailand, but the distinction in the Philippines is clearer and more obvious. I will put it this way: when most men come to Thailand, they instantly look to hook up. But when foreign men go to The Philippines, they consider getting into a relationship with a Filipina. But if a foreign man wined up hooking up with a Filipina, then that is what happen, but it is rare. Most guys go to Thailand to date and go to the Philippines to have relationships. Most Filipinas won't go out on multiple dates with a man they don't want to see themselves in a relationship with. Unless she already has a man, while a Thai girl will go out on multiple dates with a guy they aren't interested in, and it won't lead to a relationship at all. Bottom line is the prostitution in Thailand and in The Philippines isn't the same.

I have many friends in the Philippines who they tell me how difficult it is to find a job and even with a good education plus most jobs pay poorly. Hundreds of thousands of women find jobs overseas and send their salaries home. But not every woman can do that, so, many in poverty become prositutes to earn money. I think the govenment is at fault and needs to help the private sector create jobs or invite foreign companies to open businesses. Prostitution is not the cure only a band-aid for a serious problem. Good video addressing a serious problem.

  • @deanarmbrecht3770
    @deanarmbrecht3770 6 днів тому

Prostitution should be legalised and regulated ethically so that safety and health standards are maintained. Illegal Prostitution compromises the health and safety of an industry that will go underground if prevented. Religion and morality should not impact basic human behaviour and also find practical solutions. Especially in a secular society that has multiple religions, the non-religious, and diverse moral standpoints.

Very interesting video. Of course prostitution is a serious social issue in every SE Asian country for obvious reasons, but some of the answers were refreshingly non judgmental and merciful toward the women (and men, presumably) who choose this option to deal with poverty and lack of opportunity. For me Maam Anna’s comments were particularly intriguing as they hint at another element I’ve noticed. What I’ve picked up anecdotally is that many women enter the bar scene as much for the possibility of finding an actual longterm boyfriend as to help with family finances. And I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that such a happy ending (sorry for the pun) is more common in the Philippines than in most places in the world. It’s a peculiar blend of traditional goals and desires with modern day realities. Still, I would say if you are a foreigner who wants to meet a nice “traditional” girl, stay away from Angeles and similar places, because she is not going to like hearing that you are a regular in the bars :)

If most males could get paid by women for sex, prostitution would be legal. Since males typically can't get paid for sex, and they make the rules, I wonder if making prostitution illegal or immoral, or forcing the activity underground creates a society where, to be legal, moral and publicly admired, citizens are probably providing sex for free .... which for males is a good thing (until they look at the costs of raising and supporting a family!). Driving pay for play underground will have the same result as Prohibition in the USA and the criminalizing of many drugs. Organized crime LOVES it when jurisdictions make the production and sale of products or services illegal because criminals will create a market to supply those products and services, with no guarantees they won't hurt the users, and add a little extra cost to cover lawyers, politicians and judges.

I would say, if the girls were told the dangers of prostitution, they wouldn’t choose to be one. I also have a problem with someone spouting that they are religious, but have sex out of wedlock. People make up terms all the time just to fit their own narrative versus the real meaning and practice. Most guys go to prostitutes because they’re women don’t want to even try to please them and they look for other avenues. If I marry a female and she fit and she ends up getting fat and that’s not my desire and I ask her to work out and she doesn’t, I will most likely want to be around someone that is fit. Just because you get married for better or worse doesn’t mean you purposely get worse. Plus, keeping your man happy and interested in you requires work on your body. If you get nasty, don’t get mad when he no longer desires you. The problem with the Philippines is, there are so many beautiful young females that will replace a female in a hot second. So the way you guard your man is by keeping him and not just relying on the fact you got him. Marriage is work.

There are things that happened and I’ll use Australia for an example because the date is really recent when they legalize prostitution violent crimes went down rape went down, divorce went down and so did their cases of venereal diseases because it was a regulated industry at that point the girls had to be licensed. They had to be vaccinated and they were provided safety prostitution happens all over the world. It’s even in the Bible, you’re not gonna stop it, so I think that it should be legalized but regulated and in a controlled way so that it’s safe for both the ladies and the guys

I'm pretty sure the young people being interviewed have not thought out the long term effects of prostitution upon families and society. I'm not an expert by any means, but...they sound like parrots by repeating the wishful thinking as referring to (Catholics and a strong religious country) will keep this oldest profession from existing. Like in many countries, including America, there are known areas for this type of business where acceptance and tolerance is the normal. I'm not throwing shade or judging anyone or any place, but the religious cover story is no longer valid. Especially in a region (SEA) where single parenthood is still on the rise. Life is hard for many and I understand that people have to eat and survive. We should be thankful that most of the S- expats travel to Thailand where prostitution is highly tolerated in certain areas. Next time, consider posing this question to a mid-thirties spouse with children...I think the results will differ.

Hi Lorie, not that it matters to most people,,but the bible,,the Creator's guidebook,,says that sexual activity with other people,,outside of marriage is immoral. God doesn't hate people because of what they do,,but he sometimes hates the THINGS that they do. In the bible there is an example of a prostitute named Rahab,,that protected men from Israel,,and she was able to turn her life around and she was strongly blessed by becoming an ancestor of Jesus. It's hard to judge correctly,,that's why the scriptures tell us NOT to judge. Women that are working as prostitutes,,they were more than likely molested as young women,,or have no other way of earning money to feed themselves. I do not believe in using prostitutes,,but as a former bartender,,I've known several and actually got to be friends with them,,and even though a couple were really pretty,,I could never be tempted to go with them,,because after I got to know their stories,,,it was just sad and pathetic. All that I knew had been molested,,by dads,,uncles,,brothers,,cousins,,even one,,her grandpa started on her when she was 4 yrs old. People that judge,,actually are sinning,,the same as immorality. There are no degrees of sin,,sin is sin,,but it's up to God to judge, not us. Sorry,,Lorie,,I was kind of ranting,,lol. Another interesting subject,,very brave of you Lorie! ❤❤ take care,,Ttyl,,,Marlon

Prostitution should be legalised so that worker can get benefits like health insurance and SSS
Fun fact: Prostitution is the oldest work existing in the world.

Prostution got Legellazed in my country. As a matter of fact, it's a recognized job. This means that the sex workers have to pay TAX over their income. Another + is that they can have access to healthcare, which is positive to both sides in the end.
I think the Philippines should definitely legelaize prostitution. Prostitution is quite big in the Philippines and the country is missing out on income at the moment

Anybody who says they should just “find another job” is really showing off their privilege and how naive they are. It’s the oldest profession in the world. Some people enjoy the job, some people have NO other choice. In any case who is anybody to judge them.

Another good video I really love watching your channel and I’m gonna put my two cents in in countries that have legalized prostitution.
