Yes I sold it the guy who purchased it from me went crazy when I took the cover off of it I. My front yard he was like omg!! I want it I don't care what's going on with it I want it. Lol they run good and they keep up with everyone easy.
Don't know why these bikes get slated for their looks. They are no uglier than a Hayabusa and look better than today's over-teched, plasticky afterthoughts that pass for motorcycles these days. I own a 1998 one in Black, all original bar a Blackwidow exhaust, it will easily top 150 mph. These bikes are ultra-reliable, very stable and once you modify the fork springs and rear shock (mine has) they are a pretty perfect bike.
I have a 2006 750 Katana. I agree about the reliability, speed and comfort. It is a great all rounder. As for looks, it is a mixed bag. From the side and the back, I think it looks fantastic, much better than modern ones as you said. It is the front view and headlights I don't see eye to eye with. Anyway, I like it a lot.
I sold it brother on to the next bike the guy who purchased it doesnt know anything about bikes but he will learn it was his first bike and he loves it
Mr.750 thanks brother the Lord Bless I'll be down there next spring because my buddy lives in Augusta so we might take that ride to Atlanta and check you out man we gotta hook up
Hey man, I just got my 06 750 katana on Saturday. 3400 miles, my 1st street bike. Very happy with it. Anyways, I’m doing an oil change today or tomorrow, do you know how many quarts of oil go in it. I’m also changing the filter.
Damn that’s nice love how it’s mostly stock too. Been wondering how hard are these to control slow speed and corners ? Looking at one now that’s got a sticking throttle allegedly a cable and I’m considering it really think these bikes are beautiful.
Christopher Smith thanks brother I just recently did a tune-up and come to find out it needed a gas filter too so I've been doing all the work I can on it because me and a group of my friends and cousins are going to be at Bike Week at Myrtle Beach 2018
Hey Man I got a question. I just bought this bike its a 2001 750 Katana yesterday and after an hour of having it I accidentally tipped it over I was getting off the bike and i don't know what happened but it fell on its right side. After that the bike wouldn't turn on anymore I would turn the key and press the start button and nothing, i changed the battery and still nothing my starter doesn't even make a clicking sound and the neutral light doesn't even come on. Any ideas on what might be going on. Nothing cracked nothing leaked when it fell over
They roll off their side stands really easily too so watch out for that - leave it in gear. I have a 1998 600f, the frame sliders are also a worthwhile investment, dropped mine when my foot slipped off the centrestand in the wet and there's not a mark on it
But it does drop the weight a lot though and i felt the difference from the okd pipe to the new pipe. Youre right though. I have grown since this video bro i sold this bike on to the next....
On my 03 600 I put HYPER LITES on the rear. I’m like you, I keep it 98% stock. I would rather buy a stock bike than one modified by a shade tree mechanic.
HAY DO YOU STILL HAVE PARTS FOR THE KATANA I KNOW ITS A SHOT IN THE DARK IF I DONT HERE FROM YOU I WILL ASUME THEY ARE GONE OOPS ALL CAP'S LOL HALA BACK IF IT'S COO
That's whats up I sold it and got another bike a 2008 Yamaha FZ1. Mint condition 6k miles original owner didnt ride it at all when I finish hooking if up I'll post a video. Thanks for watching.
Did you just say you keep up to r1s lol you my friend will not even keep up to an r6 I got and have had a few of these katanas and they are slugs yes they get up to max speed about 140 and it takes for ever to get there but they have under 100 hp an weigh a ton sorry bro but I had to say something you got a beautiful katana but no runner against any 600 cc bike after 2000 ....all 600s have over 100 hp and weigh almost half ......
I dont know what bike you was riding this bike topped out at 153 you are sadly mistaking. You must don't know how to ride or you ride dangerous. You can go that fast on regular streets at long periods of time so i always kept up.
COMPLETELY ORIGINAL yup except the exhaust, handle bars, bar ends, grips, decals, tank pad, seat, windscreen, frame sliders(which are in fact plastic) but keeping the ugly (unless on a time capsol type bike) warning stickers b because use it's COMPLETELY ORIGINAL.
BEAUTIFUL Katana
I ride it's grandfather, an 83 GSX750E-II. Love that color.
She is beautiful👍
Super clean 750! Makes me miss my '01 750 like crazy. May have to buy another one or the new Katana!

@@joehart6406 thanks for the reply the bike had an electrical short when it fell over

Just an FYI changing the weight of an exhaust does not affect power in any way, what power your engine produces is what the engine produces
But it does drop the weight a lot though and i felt the difference from the okd pipe to the new pipe. Youre right though. I have grown since this video bro i sold this bike on to the next....
120lb weights on a bar! 😂👍🏼
yup it was crazy heavy
Yoo I just picked up one identical to yours. Trying to find that seat you got a link?
Naww bro go to corbin website they are expensive man like $600
I went on there and didn't see the katana offered at all. I'll check again thanks bro. Clean ass bike! Mine has one scratch on it
I got the same T Rex sliders in my bandit 600s the pucks are not steel they are some type on plastic
On my 03 600 I put HYPER LITES on the rear. I’m like you, I keep it 98% stock. I would rather buy a stock bike than one modified by a shade tree mechanic.
Absolutely when I sold it the guy went crazy for it because he liked it being stock.
Did you rejet for your slip on pipe?
No i dont have it anymore i sold this bike to get a bigger one. I never jetted it. Started to get pricey trying to keep it up
Hey man looks clean just curious if that's a slip on delkavic or a full system?
Granville Trinque no just a slip on with a jet kit getting installed now
Michael Murphy nice! I'm putting my 06 in the shop next month for carb clean and jet kit then wana get the same slip on! Thanks man nice looking bike!
Granville Trinque thanks bro as soon as it comes out the shop ill do another video
Can you talk about the frame sliders?
I purchase them from online at ebay they connect to the radiator on the frame they cost $100 online "texas frame sliders"
to prevent corrosion in the tank better to fill it up full
nice bike!! bro
Thanks brother I sold it last summer IAM going after a hyabusa next
Try calling Corbin, they may get you fixed for free. Some companies have great customer service, don’t know about Corbin.
I sold the bike the guy who purchased it didn't like the Corbin seat anyway he doesn't even use it. Thanks for the advice.
