A fantastic reaction guys. It is always such a pleasure to read your comments! Very insightful. You crystallised the thoughts I didn't even know I'd had about the innovative art and cross cultural exchange in combining Traditional Chinese Opera with Pop, Bel Canto and alien. The weird combination and communication of their voices was utterly and surprisingly joyful. Beautifully put views from all of you. Thank you so much!

I agree, this is a work of art. I loved your description of an ancient Chinese guy singing with an alien. :-D I don't understand Chinese opera, but I think Li and Dimash sound absolutely brilliant together. Li Yu Gang is singing traditional Peking opera, mixed with pop. Dimash is singing pop, bel canto, and ethnic Kazakh melismas. You would never guess that these two singers wouldn't be able to exchange simple conversational pleasantries in a shared language. Yet, together they created a super complex fusion of musical styles, singing techniques, cultures, and even historical periods. It's absolutely insane...but insanely good. It left me wanting more collaborations between these two.

I loved hearing your thoughts on this duet. Yes, IGree, it is a work of art. Both singers are outstanding and the mix of styles and techniques shouldn’t have worked and yet it did. I don’t know anything about Li Yu Gang, but Dimash is a master at mixing genres, techniques, tones. For other stunning fusion pieces, please react to Swan Goose (a duet with Tengri), Earth Song (collab with Victor Ma), Jasmine. (with Wu Tong). Other amazing songs where Dimash sings solo, but mixes very different styles include Hello (Singer 2018) and Be With Me. Looking forward to hearing your analysis of these songs.
I assume Dimash is learning the meaning of the Chinese lyrics sentence by sentence like the English. If he knows the meaning of every Chinese words, I believe lots of the Chinese singers cannot compete with him (I'm not referring to the vocal ability, he is already in God level😹). Besides, most of the foreigners express the feeling differently with our Chinese people. I feel so lucky to have Dimash singing in Chinese, I think lots of the Dears from so many countries are hoping Dimash to sing a song in their language.

It's a pleasure watch you three making reactions like this one!! In Spanish and English there are reactors that didn't appreciate LI YU GANG style, because they don't use to understand chinese opera, they thought he made strange noises but he was telling the story 🤦

I think that whoever decided to merge these two songs and these two singers, is a GENIUS! It shouldn't work. It flies in the face of logic, but somehow it DOES work! I love the analogy of the opera singer singing with the alien. That made me lo!!
