I have been having a problem with Dole banas, which is about 3 days after ripening they are turning to mush inside the yellow skin. I breed mousebirds, and a large portion of their diet is bananas, and have also noticed a sharp decrease in fertility in proven pairs, which also coincides with the problem with the Dole bananas
Depends when it was cut and when it was ripened. On average, probably about two months. Just a note, bananas are artificially ripened to that bright yellow colour using ethylene gas. ;-)
