@@aceboardtheangler5252 unfortunately, that one color does stink really bad the other ones mildly but that one stinks really bad. I was a little disappointed in that as well.
I know brother I stop fishing it on brush piles and grass they always snacked on something but I will fish it on shallow flats hard bottom like a lipless crank bait it works efficiently.
Open hook designs tend to snag and are best bounced along rocky bottoms. You definitely need to go back through that area with the unloaded version with a weighted belly hook.
Agreed-I played w the hangover and the daingerous after rigging a new rod….this one gets hung up easier-but oh boy when there is a little chop on Champlain I’m hoping to smash bigger fish and even pike and musky
Really timely video for me Steve. I saw this on sale through Karls but didn’t pull the trigger. I don’t have the deep ledge/open water access and was planning on using this around structure. You mentioned it had a strong plastic smell as well? I will eventually give this a try. Thanks for the video!
The daingerous shines in that it can go from a very very slow speed to a fast speed and keep its action. So burning it OVER cover, or running it off of deeper bottoms while slow rolling it-it's your baby. It is a tool that can do certain jobs really well and others less well. You can say that about ANY lure though. I do it too. I have certain things I really LIKE to throw and that sometimes leads to me shoving the square peg in a round hole and just making it fit.
Not trying to be negative or smart ass or anything. With that big hook on the top. As far as getting hung in the brush. What did you think was going to happen?
Well, the thing is it can't hit any branch without getting snagged. Even the mag gets snagged but it's not very often if you're fishing this thing deep near near any branches, or any brush whatsoever, it is definitely going to get lost. That's the whole concept of what I'm talking about...
Top hook baits are made more for ledge fishing . Hard bottoms not brush . If your fishing a lot of brush piles you need the unloaded version with a weedless hook
I bought 3 of these and 2 of them I couldn’t feed 17 pound flouro through the line through. The one I could tie on I love but the other 2 are very disappointing.
A friend of mine designed a large weedless swimbait. (Amazing fisherman too!) When i talked to him about the dangerous swimbait his first complaint about it was it will get snagged up. His you can pull through brush, weeds, rocks and it never gets hung up. Not that this swimbait won't have areas where it does well. It will, Its just you have to be mindful of that hook. Still a good looking, good running swimbait! If they find a way to counter sink that hook into the body like my buddys is. They will have a great swimbait! Fish on!!
What pound line were you using? I ordered one recently and after that I saw some reviews that said 20 pound line wouldn’t fit through the line through hole.

You’re throwing the ‘deep’ loaded version in shallow water in sticks it looks like and they do make a ‘shallow’ version . The deep version is for like 10-20 feet of water. The magdraft is perfect for 0-5 feet of water.
I respect your pov cause you show yourself as an honest everyman. Thats huge for me. Any group or goof squad trying to sell something always feel scammy. Baits fool the angler before its tied on to a line and i hate that. Fishing is supposed to be fun not a circle jerk of who spent the most or has the most. End rant. I beg yer pardon ha!
What? Who throws a open hook swimbait in brush? Complaining about getting snagged. Thats like throwing an A-rig into brush.😂😂. I am glad to hear that it swims good, I will definitely be buying one to try out. Great video...
I understand you being honest, but you are using the bait not for what it was designed for. If you are going to fish a swimbait in that stuff, you need a belly weighted swimbait hook version. Expecting any lure with a giant open hook to come through that is just crazy.
try the new Milliken swim bait & do an honest review & comparison of that googan swim bait that is in this video. that would be great for anyone on the fence on which to buy between the two..thanks in advance
The Huddleston, 1 of the best (if not best) big swimbaits ever made has a single hook & has caught 1000's of big bass..Treble hooked baits like the Megabass Magdraft have killed many bass, like many soft swimbaits with that treble up front
Great video bud , good to see an honest feedback an I’ll be sure not tah waste the $ ( beware of the swamp ape ) … thas gonna be my next swimbait name … an it’s gonna be weedless
I was just watching this and all the negative comments from the armchair fisherman. What they don’t understand is that entire lake is nothing but standing wood and brush. Most of those guys if they went up there and fished wouldn’t catch a single fish.
I’m sure for some people these will be very productive (not me) under certain circumstances. I tend to buy from smaller companies that hand pour their swim baits, they definitely cost more and they catch more (for me) lots of shallow heavy grass. I don’t buy anything from used car salesman like googan or zaldain. Definitely ready for the water to warm up and start throwing big glides for pre spawn pigs.
There may or may not have been a Bigfoot at the beginning of this video 😳😂😂

@@BASSNGRASSforget that thing. 3:16 top hook rising son in 6.75 inch. Deep brush all you need. Youre welcome.
Try the unloaded version get some large owner center pin screw locks with the trokar TK 178 swimblade hook 7/0 for 6 inch
"If they had a weedless version"... the other one is the weedless version.
Then stop throwing it in the brush what you think what was going to happen bud.
Hoping it would bounce off like the magdraft lol

I ordered a few more and I’m going to try to treble hook it and see if it does improve snag ratio --new ones I got were 1.6….wish me luck lol
Definitely let me know how it goes
Does color mater?
I got the slow sink and it snags rocks just as bad it rolls the hook right into everything but it does swim good
It does swim great, but the snagging all the time is a no go for me

Is it marketed as a bait to be fished in the places you say its getting snagged, just asking as I'm not sure it was ?
No matter what I throw up there and I get in the brush it gets hung up
How do you like the rod?
It's a very good rod

I have something kind of like that but the hook doesn't come out and it sinks like a rock and I lost one on the first cast lol 😂😂
Thanks for giving your real experience.

Raid Osakana swimmer. It's a treble line through, and can put the hook on the top or bottom depending where you want to fish the bait in the water.

That's more for open water spots or deep water bass fishing
That version isn’t used in that application.
Thanks for the review, Steve. I couldn't invest the cost in something that would get snagged so easily. Pap Blevins

I think it might not get 'stuck' too bad if you didn't set the hook in the brush. 🤣
Zaldain even said himself, dont throw it around brush.
Yeah, it can't hit anything
You can’t use an open hook in brush.
If it hit any wood, it's stuck it rolls over the point. I'm trying to make... if you want to fish open water with no contact, it works good
A single hook is good on some lots of baits but you got to have the triple hook for them big swim baits that’s my opinion

My dude, you have an expose hook. The shallow one should work better, that's a big bait that should pull bass from those branches and brush piles.
good stuff
Thanks buddy

I was just watching this and all the negative comments from the armchair fisherman. What they don’t understand is that entire lake is nothing but standing wood and brush. Most of those guys if they went up there and fished wouldn’t catch a single fish.
I wouldn't be throwing a exposed hook swimbait in those trees

But….. you have live scope???? Fish around the brush with baits that have exposed hooks.
No top hook swimbait in the history of swimbaits is made to come through brush.. I don’t understand why you thought it’d be even remotely “snag-less”
It 100% has to do with an exposed hook
You gotta stop making the same mistake My boy You're throwing.
The deep version in five feet of water
Def a open water bait
Definitely
You're fishing a lure with and exposed hook through brush and what not, of course you're going to get hung up🤨
Got dang chupacabra in them there woods
Snags way too easy on basically everything. I threw it back in its shell 15 minutes into trying it.
it's very Snaggy I guess everyone else that doesn't believe me we'll just see for themselves 🤣
Things rolls and snags everything… even the weedless version is 💩
Learn to use it correctly and in the correct areas.
🤣🤣
Don’t throw your soft plastics in the damned water! Come on man!
