So sad to see family owned business fade away...
Remembered very clear the aroma when passing by the road during my childhood time.......haih
Hopefully someone millionaires would take over this business and offer them partnership..and upgrade the facilities in soysauce productions. It is the heritage not only to this uncle humble families but also to the nation. Someone a truly Malaysian please save their business..what is the value of money if it to be compared with years of establishment of this family business..After all we are Malaysians..tolong dan bantu lah sesama kita tidak mengira apa bangsa, kaum, agama, keturunan, ethnics....selamatkan lah perusahan SE 1 abad ini..
Tapi itulah, quality control kena jaga
Support this idea. It is preserving heritage, history and culture.
If their family wasn't care..why would other people will do with it?? It will be in Ipoh history books just like others businesses that have been closed over the years..
Blessed happy Chinese New Year to all of you and your family,God bless you
😢🙏 So sad for our new young generations of Malaysians Singaporeans & tourists that missed the genuinely tasty & affordable foods that prepared & cooked by old Master Chefs that slowly leaving us from this life over the years ... Many restaurants or stalls now cooked by migrant workers especially in KL! ... 😢🙏🕯🌷🌿🍎🍊🌏✌🕊🇲🇾🇸🇬
Family businesses have to innovate its operational processes to make it easier, less labour intensive and efficient to be commercially viable for better profit so that the new generations are keen to take over, continue it and thrive to posterity. 😊
His soya sauce and tauchu paste are still my favourite. Until today cannot find any that match this familiar taste.
🎉🎉🎉good luck uncle.. all the best🎉🎉🎉❤
Selamat bercuti dan selamat bersara, Uncle! 👍👍
I like his retirement plan. Celebrate, drink coffee and hang out with friends. This can be done only when his business was very successful, sure he is. His dress might not show his wealth, but his mind does.
My late brother and me used to drop by and borong asam kimcong from this shop every time we balik kampong at Gunung Mesah. The asam kimcong very tasty for rojak or timun or sengkuang calik. Sad to hear this shop is closing down.
kong xi far cai ,happy new year uncle kicap tau ewe .i appreciated you hard woking.but where you from?i never see your kicap sell in kl.tq GBU
God bless you and your family
It’s ok, with your business you were able to send all your offspring to study abroad and settle down there. You should be proud.
he dont seemed sad.
🙏🙏😭
Good story.
Ni original yg moden campur cramel
Have a good rest uncle, go travels enjoy your life
Yes I agree we need to protect the better parts of all our past that is still important for today & furture people to enjoy the old & traditional says that things are made....BUT if y'all get a chance buy as much as I can now b4 it's TOTALLY gone & it's value will be worth more than sum of the world's most expensive wine... Watch
A very SAD day !
See how if got the money, will try to discuss with him to buy up.
If someone take over also will not sustain long as this should be a very labor intensive work
because kids these days where got remember everything came hard. everything seemed so easy for them, not a damn thing reminds them life is hard and long way, all too easy. hahaha!!!!
Interview ought to have been conducted in the interviewee's native language to get the best outcome. Clearly, much was not forthcoming as it would have been otherwise had it been conducted in his native Cantonese. Missed opportunity by NST!
Malay is Malaysia native language.
@@AbA-wk7yp It's just a misused of word. It's understandtable that she meant it to be mother tongue.
@@AbA-wk7ypeverybody knows. This is just an interview btw, and not even related to politics. And this is an English segment after all...🙄
Force their kids to study hard to be doctors, engineer, lawyer etc. Now pikachu face nobody want to inherit his bussiness.
klasik
Malaysia the end of a 67 year legacy, while Singapore strait times continue to thrive
可惜了
May the ALMIGHTY bless BAK TONG
Slowly losing the legacy.😢
May the Gopeng District Office / Municipal Council make this humble soya sauce factory a heritage site for tourists and future generations. Better than squabbling on religious issues.
human beings were not the brightest all the while anyway, history has proven time and time again
Maybe he can make a video on the process of making soy souce & pose it onto U tube.
that also need youngster to help. old folk dunno use social media
Those who strike lottery recently.. what to wait for this business opportunity
All karpal singh not my family members understand😂😂😂😂
Malaysia Chinese always said Malaysia are successful to protect Chinese Culture, so what actually Chinese Culture you protect you also no idea, just know to make expensive only, see penang or KL you'll know what I mean
what the sohaifk u talking. u don't even make sense. you are the one who has no idea what you your ownself talking
Such a waste of all the history and knowledge. Someone please buy the business and carry on the tradition.
That's the problem lah. Everyone want to save, but nobody want to do. Nobody say I buy the business and save it, that's why have to close lah. But very common with later generation traditional family business, hard to find successor because everyone working professional because our dear parents help us maju. Bless.
Traditional methods take up alot of hard labour, focus and energy. But quality is there. But these days, where got people wanna put in so much work? Gotta find rare gems in society willing to sacrifice. All fast money, easy money. It's a sad thing business gotta stop, but he is old already and it's time for him to relax. See the young got interest or not. Preschool , tadika, primary, secondary etc.. good luck finding some wise kid willing to put in kungfu.
Good by enjoy yr retirement life...
