I get anxiety but usually not for no reason. I get anxious about dumb stuff like going to school and talking with my friends.

I don't have anxiety I don't think but when I do something that is awkward and everyone stares at you I break down, I think it's embarrassment but I dunno I'm not very confident like stage fright but in front of people like my friends I am as wierd and I like to be doing something I would NEVER EVER DO when I'm with other people......😂

I know exactly how you feel Zoe with your Anxiety! I get it a lot when I go to the mall or the movies or just out and about. Something I find really useful is to just stop for a moment, look around you, take a few deep breaths and tell yourself that you are going to be okay. You are feeling anxious because your body thinks that it's in danger and something bad is going to happen. So I just take a few moments to tell myself that I am safe, I am okay and that nothing bad is going to happen. Hope this helps to anyone else who suffers from anxiety as well. xx
I take anxiety meds :) my parents took me to a therapist because of my sleeping problem and my anxiety of course and the therapist recommended medicine for my anxiety.

yep, i couldnt do it lmao. my anxiety made the side effects of the anxiety meds too intolerable for me so i had to quit. very ironic

i dont really battle it anymore. i know its inevitable, and im always gonna have anxiety, so im learning how live with it and not fight it.. For now i just avoid situations i know will give me anxiety.
And something thats worked greatly for my social anxiety is, everywhere i go, i always take my own car (as in family trips, or when im with friends), because having my car makes me feel like i have a safety blanket. I know that the moment i start feeling panic or fear, i can get up and leave the situation whenever i want.. it helps calm me down knowing i have full control.

Zoe, I keep feeling those exact same things. I've noticed that anxiety gets a little worse when the seasons are changing, summer to fall and spring to summer mostly. So yeah, is anyone else going through this??
There's actually something called SAD which is a change in personality or emotion during the transition from summer to winter. Hope that helped, keep smiling :) x
yah I get those every now and then :D I take walks. go to a beach and lie down, drink hot choco and just bundle up and watch tv :D
I have gad and it's gotten worse over the years so I was put on meds because I was becoming agoraphobic and I am homeschooled it sucks but we will all get better

I'm 13 years old and I have anxiety and have panic attacks very often. And I feel very awkward talking about it to people but let me tell you. Seeing someone who I look up to who is so successful and collected but also suffers from anxiety is very helpful. You make me feel like I'm not alone and you make me feel like I can do anything, despite my anxiety. Thank you Zoe for being you and for being such a great role model. Seriously though.. I feel like I am the only fan of the Brit Crew that is actually older than all of them. When you see the fans they are all like 12-14 year olds. Are there other older fans out there that just keep quiet about it or what??? I can't be the only one. Maybe I'm just really young at heart. For me, watching Zoe, Alfie, Marcus, Niomi, Jim, Tanya, Louise, Joe, Caspar, and Gabby is like watching any other reality tv show. Well, except it isn't scripted and the people are actually good role models for their younger audience. Basically, I just wanted to know if there are other people closer to my age so I don't feel like some creepy old dude. :-/

I thought the same as you.. I'm 24 by the way, same age as Zoe and most of the youtubers I watch so I don't feel like it's weird.. Until I realise Zoe has 6 million subscribers and most are 11-14 years olds. Screaming fan girls are not cool.

I can't cope with crowds of people with my anxiety. I get the hot when anxious then cold after and really tired, it's the tiredness that gets to me. i feel bad for zoe sometimes because i also suffer from anxiety, and she tells everyone constantly she has bad anxiety and her "fans" still bombard her and dont act like normal humans around her.
I understand its exciting seeing a celebrity you love on the streets, but have some respect and dont run and start yelling and crowding them... For someone with anxiety that is the worst feeling.
No matter how much Zoe loves her fans, when you guys do that to her she will panic and start acting which will only make it worse for her.
give her some room, or at least dont crowd her and start yelling.
Not only that, but the people many call "celebrities" are just like one of us. Consider this: would you want to be bombarded with squeals and name-calling when you just want to eat somewhere?

I love how Zoe and other youtubers are so normal. Like she is on an ad, has and article in vogue, her own beauty line and tons of fans wanting to meet her, but then she opens up about her anxiety, goes out without makeup and orders double mashed potatoes! I think that's why youtubers are becoming more popular than mainstream celebrities because you can have a really personal relationship with them:)
BUT YOU DID IT ZOE!:) It was SO tough for you to go out especially on a Saturday, but I am SO proud that you were able to do it! Every day is improvement :) I am just so joyful right now because just yesterday I stood up to my anxiety for less then 3 hours and went to the mall as well, it was horrible in the moment, hot flashes, shakes, hyperventilating, a sick stomach, and light headedness were all there but now that its over I'm glad I was able to kinda pull through :) now next time we BOTH will be a little better on our bad days. :)xx

are you joking? i'm sorry but that sounds like such an awful thing to ask... it's something that is so personal.. i have panic attacks so i understand the general emotions and.. this might sound odd but the idea of filming someone being overly anxious or having a panic attack is akin to saying 'you should film a vid of you and alfie teaching how to kiss!" i don't know how to phrase myself right now, i'm sorry. i haven't been feeling well these past few days.

Zoe I totally undertand the anxiety bits 100%. My boyfriend is always confused when I am really anxious for no reason. Someone explained it to me like hearing the boss music in a video game but not seeing the boss. Or like hearing the scary music in a movie and being nervous but never seeing the monster. That's my favorite explanation so far. ^-^ Congratualtions on everything, you are truly so wonderful and you deserve all of the happiness and success in the world! Much love!
i feel like there's a bigger recognition of youtubers in the UK.. in the states they aren't on the radio, tv and things like that
They are all specifically going on radio 1 because they are trying to make that channel more suited to the youth and most of their viewers are teens
Zoe what you describe is exactly what happens to me! When you said you feel dizzy after a panic attack I feel dizzy for days! And being hot and cold. I know when I'm going to have a panic attack because I just burn up! Then after I'm freeeezing! Just a tip for you that normally works for me, don't stay in the same place as where your panic attack started. Try to get up and move, especially outside where you can breathe. As you're right next to the beach, that would be ideal! You've helped me so much, I just want to try and help you a bit!
It's mad at how so many people have anxiety and depression and how zoe has helped so many people understand it better, or just feel better because they know they aren't alone, I feel like mental health is so over looked compared to other illnesses, but to me depression and anxiety can be just as lethal as cancer e.t.c some people don't understand just how severe this can all be for some people... I dont know how bad your anxiety is but I'm in a constant battle with mine, I hope yours gets better vicki :)
i also am an anxiety/panic attack sufferer, and watching her vlogs sometimes makes me cringe on how her "fans" treat her. if anyone is a fan of hers, they should know she has anxiety and they should stop attacking her and running up to her and yelling and crowding her. I cant even imagine how zoe deals with it.
that being said, it also saddens me how in the world today, the young population has such high anxiety/depression and we dont get to fully enjoy our lives like they used to in the past.

Zoe, my friend has struggled with depression and anxiety for as long as I've known him. He recently went to the doctor and they drained a bunch of earwax from his ears and drained his sinuses because he was having headaches a lot. They told him that the pressure of all that buildup was probably a contributing factor to his panic attacks which I thought was very interesting. He said he feels better in general now so I thought I'd share :)

I get the nervous butterflies all the time 24/7, and it's horrible because it makes you feel sick.
My panic attacks have been getting worse these past few weeks and I remembered that a while back in some video of yours you mentioned the sea helped you stay calm. I now go out at night and sit in a rock and listen to the sea when I really don't feel well and it has helped me a lot. Thank you!

Anxiety sucks :( I'm glad people like Zoe are making it more known because half the people I talk don't understand and says "it's only anxiety" when it's so much more! Not being able to breathe/cope etc! Hopefully I'm going to make anxiety vids too so do look out for them - but thank you Zoe for telling us your experiences etc makes me feel like its not just me but other people are going through it too :( xx

Anxiety is such a tough thing and a hard thing to explain. It comes out of nowhere sometimes and you are right...it is so draining! So glad you have tips that help you and supportive people around! that does wonders!! Hang in there...you are not alone with anxiety in the world.

I've been feeling very anxious lately because of uni, and being alone most of the time with bad internet connection. I've managed to watch this video on my phone, and I'm so glad I did because it was a reminder that it's okay not to feel okay. Thank you, Zoe, sometimes I feel like your videos are literally saving my life.
I'm only 12 and suffer really bad anxiety I get panic attack nearly everyday and I am currently bed written because if how bad it has gotten
Maybe you should try doing a complete technology detox like don't use your phone, laptop, tablet or tv for a week. Get loads of exercise and fresh air, read lots and generally relax. Just a suggestion: I think anxiety is becoming more common maybe the reason is because people are spending so much more time looking at a screen! Hope this helps :)
When you do have panic attacks it is really good if you breath in and out slowly and really deeply and have a drink of water that helps me :)
I was nearly in that position a year ago only now I have changed my life around and I am getting better. One thing you have to always remember is to never give up, always try to stay on the positive side though it may be hard and always believe you will get better because you will. When I was in a really bad position I felt I would never get better and my life is over and i don't care what happens anymore but I finally realised I am getting better and you will too and the last piece of advice is always talk to someone, they can help you get back on your feet again, good luck x

I went into the superdrug on princes street in Edinburgh and the Zoella shelves were bare. When we went back the shelves were restocked but there is a trolley perpetually sitting next to the shelves with more stock on them, they must be restocking all day!

Im 18 and I absolutely love watching your videos, I suffer with PTSD, anxiety and panic attacks especially when im in public place which causes me to feel sick, get so hot and agitated but watching your videos actually helps because it makes me think if you can change your mind and how you think then so can i, you're such a down to earth person!
