As a kid that watched these in the 1970’s, I always wondered why Sappy New Year was so different from the others. Voices and animation for sure and that angry bulldog that’s their nemesis was in that one a mannered police dog with ears down.

Actually, "Pirate's Gold" was the last "original" H & J film made but released after Terry sold out to CBS.
