- I take a stock 1999 nissan frontier offroad to see if you can go offroad in stock form. Skyline drive trail in Utah . Plus I see a marmot, which I'd never seen before.
Awesome little trucks...I have a 98 4x4, 4 cylinder 5 speed....just as tough as any of my old yotas....268,000 miles and runs perfect...ac still works great.
Lived in az most my life never new how beautiful Utah really is
Relaxing video with the music and scenery. Awesome little truck. I have a 00 cc I'm working on
Looking forward to more videos on your Frontier. 👍🏼
Awesome video! That truck is a little beast! :) Great drone shots and scenery. Sure looks different without the snow. Nice job. Can't wait to go back.
Thanks !
Cute dog laying in the bag she fits perfectly haha
Great truck. They made these until 2004 at which point I believe it was the last pickup being made with a manual transmission AND manual transfer case. AKA the last completely electronic-free drivetrain. I wouldn't want it any other way.
i need more utah nissan people to wheel with
I don't wheel the frontier much. I mainly wheel my tundra. The frontier is difficult bc aftermarket is limited and as I've found with this truck (1st gen ) more and more parts are being discontinued by nissan. I like the little truck but for the harder stuff I use the tundra. 2nd and 3rd gen frontier is much better though
hello. thanks for the insight, I have a similar truck except its Japan model with qd32 diesel, should I be equally as confident considering mines naturally aspirated and way underpowered compared to yours. also what are the basic offroading/ 4x4 road trip/ overlanding equipment, tools and gadgets I will need for a day trip in it?
I have the same truck! 99 3.3 5spd 4x4. Have always wanted to know just how capable it is. Mine also has a limited slip rear diff. I have thought about putting an autolocker in the front.
I took this one into the uinta mountains the day before and did some stuff that was a bit more difficult and it did great. I was really surprised how well it did. In the video I didn't do anything super crazy but it was super sloppy and plenty of rocky mountain road (about 100 miles total that day) did great.
This one also has the limited slip diff, and it has since been repainted
Nice little pickup. Thinking of getting one. Looks like it can handle off road terrain 👍
Solid little trucks. Not much in the way of aftermarket on them though
There are a couple aftermarket performance parts you can get for the vg33 I found headers and aftermarket camshafts
Cool video. Where in Texas are you from? I was born in Utah but my family moved to San Angelo when I was 13. Now I’m back in Utah. Not far from skyline drive actually but I haven’t made it up there yet. By the looks of it there’s a lot crazier things I’ve done in a stock truck.
I'm in Ohio and have been shopping for a first gen Frontier for a while now. Prices seem to be going up. I could do without the music.
But does the cd and cassette work??
This is barely an offroad trial. A dinky fwd economy car can go through that.
Are you saling thet truck?
Nope. Was considering it but not any ore
@@theutahtexan6276 ok, thanks.
