5:48 please let the world understand this! Spread the word! Mid has to wait for jungle to solo one mini on red buff. Or else the jungler can’t hit 3 on the second wave and you lose all presurre
I can confidently say this is one of your best series of all time. Even myself whos gotten a little tired of smite content being here for 10 years this is so fun to watch
Really educational! Been trying to learn Janus lately and this is helpful. Mad props to Draiden for showcasing a good Janus and giving detailed explanations on his decision making. Loving this series along with Elo Hell. Learning a lot
its really so annoying sometimes how much impact a bad team or one troll pick can throw your game… this janus played near perfect… out damaged the lobby… had spectacular positioning… and had top kills, only to lose bc he had a useless feeding support and solo, with a completely useless jungle… its just so stupid
When you build book, it's good to use the green totem late game because the 10% mana gives you power on top of the health and mana. So it's a pretty good stat increase if you're capped in cdr.
Been playing Janus for the better part of the past 9 years I've played SMITE and I will always view him as the most fun God in the game. Just so much potential to outplay and outmaneuver people, and when you hit those ults it's one of the most satisfying things in the game. Glad he's in a good spot right now and that more people are trying to pick him up, he was always one of those Gods that a lot of people avoided because he is so different and not your typical giant aoe burst mage, but once you learn him he's a blast to play. Love these kinds of videos as always Weak3n
How is it boring playing only one god? There are a ton of different items , relics and roles you can play in its not like you have to play the exact same way every single game . I'd rather play one character I like for the rest of the time I play smite instead of being a meta slave who changes their pick based on patch notes every other week 😂
I played a game with janus yesterday, he's such a crazy god and flash is the bomb on him. My hp was red already for the whole teamfight, both teams were retreating after a bit as everyone was low. We were pushing their second tower that attack. Thanks to flash and my portals I killed 3 players under their tower, in 2 different quick attacks where I portalled into their tower. It demotivated them so hard they instantly F6'ed the game. The score was 15-17, they were not behind at all. Just completely demotivated from my play. I wish I recorded it. It was insane to witness.
ironically enough i just ranked ten janus recently and im looking to do better with him before I start up ranked and seeing how far i can go. So probably janus right now would be my go to with if i had to grind to #1. So this video has been super helpful to take notes off of and hope I can do a lot better with im in the future lol
I had never realized how much impact moving map location could be, but I’m left eye dominant and I will be moving my map to the left side from here on out
What is your opinion on the build in this game vs the one you usually go with gem? I feel like the Gem -> Chronos -> Spear -> Tahuti -> Orb/Myrridin -> Reaver/Divine(after spear) is better in all stages of the game.
a good content idea is this but with top 10 players of certain gods but in different ranks. Like I'm #3 thanatos rn but hover between plat 1 and D4. Would be interesting to see others in a similar situation.
tl;dr you hold a point at 8, since iirc, you are forced to level another ability instead of maxing your main skill - which you can do at lv9 and level your ult as well.
I love the map on the left. I play with the left of my monitor tilted towards me so it just feels good for whatever reason. I know it’s weird don’t flame me. 😂
Man #1 Vulcan is CRAZY cause you can RUN a lobby but no one plays Vulcan cause he can't sustain. I think I'm a Diamond Vulcan right now and there is so many counters against him it's crazy.
I don't know what you mean by randomly but it gives 40% movement speed to you and allies and if an enemy walks past your next ability does 60% extra scaling on them so there's no reason to not use it on cooldown
I appreciate it I’m new to smite in general but also I don’t see how you didn’t know what I meant by randomly using the ability but then explained exactly what I was getting at😂
Keep seeing Clio solo in my games, usually only works if we sweat our brains out, dunno why ppl do it, certain assassins sure, Clio I don’t see working well ever
Set always struck me as (ironically) a worse Bakasura. Not that his kit is worse than Bakasura far from it Set is an absolute monster in 1v1s BUT that offers like Weak3n said no value to the team at all. No one wants a great 1v1'er they want team fight potential the late game consists of ONLY team fights over objectives. Bakasura can at the very least use minions to dive phoenix or split push. His ult is great at disrupting teamfights too and fucking over hunters. Set just feels like he was designed for the mid and early game. Solo'ing people in the jungle until the late game hits and he just awkwardly stands in your backline waiting and waiting for the right time that will never come for him to dive lmao. This doesn't mean Set can't do well in the late game either this is just generalising but most of the time when I have a Set I barely see them doing anything of use in the late game. Again you can pop off on Set in the late game 100% I am just generalising my experiences here.
He really should play on instant cast and his actions and reactions in general are not fast. Luckily smite isn't a mechanically demanding game on this level.
"Janus 2 is easy to dodge if you see it coming but harder to dodge when you don't see it coming" pretty sure that works for anything because your eyes are how you see things so therefore if you don't see something how would you dodge it lmao dumbest tip I have ever heard
The fact that you couldn't process an ability being telegraphed, meaning you know where and when it's coming, is easier to dodge than an ability that shows up out of the blue is crazy to me
Brainlet comment. Janus 2 has a slow travel time so it's easy to dodge unless it's thrown over (through) a wall. Compare that to Agni 2 or Nu Wa 3 which don't really matter if they can see you or not since they are almost instant in travel time.
To answer your question if anyone plays without a mini map @ 37:40 - my team, my team plays without a minimap
5:48 please let the world understand this! Spread the word! Mid has to wait for jungle to solo one mini on red buff. Or else the jungler can’t hit 3 on the second wave and you lose all presurre
this is some the best smite content series in years, Great job kurt
agreed, been watching forever but the content is hitting new highs, keep it up son
Someone’s gotta try to keep smite alive 🤣
Sad hirez dont care how much promotion and good kurt brings/brought to smite
I can confidently say this is one of your best series of all time. Even myself whos gotten a little tired of smite content being here for 10 years this is so fun to watch

The horus did good, it was the clio not being a proper warrior which in turn made the set useless
Well it is a team game
that exact reason is why i stick to joust most of the time because you can just hard carry
When you build book, it's good to use the green totem late game because the 10% mana gives you power on top of the health and mana. So it's a pretty good stat increase if you're capped in cdr.
best part about this is that Stallone is in the game to.

I really enjoyed how he explained everything and why he does everything he does.
Stallone in the back like 🧍
As a masters player, Ive never understood people who only play 1 god every game I may not have any number 1 boarders but at least im not bored
How is it boring playing only one god? There are a ton of different items , relics and roles you can play in its not like you have to play the exact same way every single game . Been playing a lot of janus in mid lately so this is gonna be juicy to put into practice
ironically enough i just ranked ten janus recently and im looking to do better with him before I start up ranked and seeing how far i can go. So probably janus right now would be my go to with if i had to grind to #1. So this video has been super helpful to take notes off of and hope I can do a lot better with im in the future lol
You should do a rank one vs a pro playing the same god just to see how much better the pros really are
The fire giant steal kept them in the game
The reason your janus games get so much is because hes so satasfying to play and watcg
22:00 to be honest level skipping is ingrained in me now, I do it with every god automatically.
Time to watch this while eating my lunch
Did the exact same thing 😂
I had never realized how much impact moving map location could be, but I’m left eye dominant and I will be moving my map to the left side from here on out
Not gonna lie, I've been farming Fafnir in ranked lol. I wouldn't mind being rank 1 Fafnir
Thank you so much. This was very helpful. I’m very grateful. You are both awesome. Much love.
He ain't me tho
waiting for another rank 1
Straight facts! Elleon the goat 💪
What is your opinion on the build in this game vs the one you usually go with gem? I feel like the Gem -> Chronos -> Spear -> Tahuti -> Orb/Myrridin -> Reaver/Divine(after spear) is better in all stages of the game.
If I was going for a rank one I’m going for the Sobek attack speed (cap) I’d probably go for Mercury or Clio
Janus turns on everyone’s secret carry ability
Yeah I have never stopped building soulgem on Janus it feels so good!
You’re right it’s not about kills it’s about surviving i’ve been thinking about, kills and leveling up so much that’s like besides the point
dude brings up the UI's more than he uses abilities
a good content idea is this but with top 10 players of certain gods but in different ranks. Like I'm #3 thanatos rn but hover between plat 1 and D4. Would be interesting to see others in a similar situation.
Please try for the #1 ranked Kukulkan! Would love to see that. Hope they would be interested.
I don't understand the reasoning behind not spending your skill point at lvl 8 and waiting to lvl 9 for two at once. Can you elaborate on this?
tl;dr
you hold a point at 8, since iirc, you are forced to level another ability instead of maxing your main skill - which you can do at lv9 and level your ult as well.
Good afternoon gamers
he should be baiting with turn around shotgun very underated
Most informative janus videos on youtube
That was a good vid enjoyed it a lot would love to see a rank one Thoth if you ever find him
I love the map on the left. I play with the left of my monitor tilted towards me so it just feels good for whatever reason. I know it’s weird don’t flame me. 😂
That solo threw that game hard
Fuck yeah I love Draiden!! Such a great dude away from game too.
One question: Why in smite, Nobody freeze the lane when the Enemy is not in the lane, to take the Exp from him and just do lastHits ?
high level players do it sometimes
High level janus is always super entertaining.
Damn I wanna play some smite right now, but I really gotta get back to my paper :(
We need more persona music in the intro
I like the Rank 1 Videos.
you streaming on youtube just makes your vids pop up more in my feed. all around good move... as long as you dont lose twitch money for it.
Man #1 Vulcan is CRAZY cause you can RUN a lobby but no one plays Vulcan cause he can't sustain. I think I'm a Diamond Vulcan right now and there is so many counters against him it's crazy.
I wonder how gross this guy would be in Jungle. He seems very calculated
Oh damn I'm actually here once the vid dropped.
I would love to see the #1 tiamat
2 rank one janus in one game
It’d be awesome to see #1 Janus vs Pro Janus, or some god vs a pro!
I would like to see #1 Tiamat cause i main her in mid
I don't hate the Map on the left...
Janus was almost banned lol.
Ive seen a lot in these videos the players spam the 3 randomly why is that?
I don't know what you mean by randomly but it gives 40% movement speed to you and allies and if an enemy walks past your next ability does 60% extra scaling on them so there's no reason to not use it on cooldown
I appreciate it I’m new to smite in general but also I don’t see how you didn’t know what I meant by randomly using the ability but then explained exactly what I was getting at😂
I'm surprised Billy isn't the top that's seems like all he plays and he's been GM for awhile now
Keep seeing Clio solo in my games, usually only works if we sweat our brains out, dunno why ppl do it, certain assassins sure, Clio I don’t see working well ever
I need my rank1 loki again
Kinda did Stallone dirty with this one
I love Janus and this video gave me a ton of insight. Cant wait to use this in my shitter lobbies
that persona 5 ass intro lmao
I’m going Rank 1 Cernunnos
wait how tf did horus do 1 structure damage? lmao

Janus is god of portals why can’t a put a portal through every wall it shouldn’t deny me access 😡
Day 1 of #1 Fafnir
BaldursGste?
Imma be honest, Leon is way better with Janus, like actually not even remotely close to the same skill level
the guys playin should mute theirselves, so we can listen to 1 guy talkin.
Vrxa is the best on ranked
Day 1 of asking support cliodhna 💪😤

He really should play on instant cast and his actions and reactions in general are not fast. Luckily smite isn't a mechanically demanding game on this level.
