    Thanks for this vid. Just put a nice gold xring chain and new sprockets on my 07 cb 600f. This gave me the courage.👍

    never used a chain tool as yet or realised the use of a vernier gauge associated with it, so thankyou very much !

    Stock Hornet sprocket ratio is 2.80.
    You went for 3.29 with 14 front 46 rear.
    Were you satisfied with the result?
    People on Hornet's Nest forum are claiming you dont lose top speed cause after sprocket change you are able to reach top speed in 6th gear redline that previously you could only do it in 5th.

      Hornet sprocket ratio is different from CBF 600 sprocket ratio.
      _
      Be careful, the speed is taken on the sprocket shaft, not on the rear wheel...

    Bro, how do you know how much force to use for the chain link?

    I'm just thinking, some people say, that chain wears not symmetrically - it is looser on one side and tighter on another. But isn't it just because of improper mount? You didn''t count how many links are on a top and on a bottom, that means that it could be tighter on a top and looser on a bottom since very beginning (more links on a top and less on a bottom) or vice versa. Maybe it's important to count it and place symmetrically?

      May be we could turn the chain inside/outside to improve durability ?

    • @DaHitch
      @DaHitch  7 років тому

      Thanks! On the rear I'm using a 45 tooth sprocket instead of the standard 42 tooth sprocket.

    Be aware that coppergrease doesn't protect against galvanic corrosion.

      I wasn't aware of this, what would be a good alternative?

      I use molybdenum grease, or ceramic grease. Neither dry out or get hard.

      Use ANTISEIZE it's silver or a grease designed for mechanical use in very harsh oceanic environment
