But it’s nice to see Saudi finally and decidedly step in to the game and the focus to invest in things other than the military.
It’s even greater how they didn’t only invest in the capital, “GREAT" Riyadh and put a target to urbanize the whole of Saudi Arabia.
If the Kingdom’s projects’ finish on time and the vision is reality, they have a high chance of wining the 2030’s.

Dubai is futuristic, but unsustainable for normal ppl but might become the rich ppl hub. Saudi has the PR, but the facilities are still way behind. Saudi Arabia cannot be compared to small neighboring countries. There is geographical diversity in Saudi Arabia, mountains, forests, valleys, deserts, coasts, as well as sites of volcanoes and more than one thousand and two hundred islands. Is it possible to have a competition between the state of Rhode Island and the state of Wyoming with the state of Texas or the state of California?
Every state in America has a competitive advantage, just as the countries of the Arabian Gulf have competitive advantages for each of them, but there is no competition between them because they are not similar, neither geographically nor humanly, nor in wealth, nor in ambitions, nor in the quantity and size of development opportunities, etc.
We are happy that every country in the Gulf succeeds with its competitive capabilities, but it is not possible to make a comparison between them because they are not similar.
In cultural development and the structure of the GDP of cities, it is reasonable to make a comparison between Dubai and Jeddah, or between Doha and Dammam.
But between a large country and small emirates, I think this is a wrong comparison.

Why don't you people think about the Palestinians, Syrians and Yemeni people?
If you want to grow, then you should grow as Ummah, not as 1 single courty.
      It's a selfish thinking.
You people are just focusing on yourselfs, neglecting other Muslims.
How would you face the Prophet (S. A. W) at Judgement Day.

There is a major roadblock for these ambitious plans. There is a shortage of local, talented, educated workers. Talk to any foreigner who has worked in a GCC company, and they will tell you. The local Arab educated workforce is rich but generally incompetent. There is a pervasive culture of lazyness among the local workforce. It's shocking to me how many stories I hear from foreigners who have worked in GCC countries telling me about how difficult it is working with local colleagues. Go to any university in America, and you will see Arabs from GCC countries attending. However, these students are disappointing. They seem to think studying is unnecessary and cheating on exams is OK. What you end up with is a population with fancy paper degrees, but no real skills. The culture of laziness and just paying to have problems go away needs to die for these government initiatives to have any real lasting impact.

Identifying their economic niche and working diligently to develop and export it is crucial for their development. The proxy conflicts that have ravaged the country should have ended long ago, with the ruling class bearing all the responsibility for the prolonged strife. However, the recent discovery of substantial gas and oil reserves heralds a promising shift. With dedicated and effective governance, Yemen has the potential to dramatically transform its fortunes through these natural resources and targeted economic development within the next 20 to 30 years, God willing
