    The Jackson 5 is truly incredible. Micheal was from an outer world. America didn't deserve him, they treated him like crap. He'll always be one of God's great gifts to this world.

      I actually remember this episode seeing the Jackson five watching Michael and Marlon grow up over the years. Losing Michael is almost like losing a close relative. He and the Jackson's had such beautiful singing voices r.i. l.

    You can hear both the pain and the love in his voice. That's why he sang it so well. It's why it's called SOUL music. He felt it and he communicated that to the audience.

      We can't take it away from Sammy - as far as being an all round entertainer [song, dance, comedy, and acting] he was amazing and l still think the best. But Michael has to be the most creative song and dance man and performer ever.

    • @allymayful
      @allymayful 5 років тому +5

      @JayTooSavy In what Michael specialised in - yes, as l have already said, l totally agree. He was sensational, and totally original with his creativity. It was Sammy's diversity, and his ability to captivate my attention whenever l got to see him, on TV, as a kid, in Australia, that l will never forget. They were basically 2 diff eras - and l don't like cancelling out one, just because of a new one. They both have their place in History for me

      Um excuse, i think your forgetting MJ's trauma from his abuse as a child and his drug addiction. Not mention, most of the Jackson brothers (except Marlon) had failed marriages; Randy was even abusive to his ex wife.(Probably cause they married too early to get away from their father.)
      Sure Joe made them stars but at what cost? They were all ridden with tramua, with Michael being the most obvious example. Childhood trauma/abuse and talent do not mix well. They weren't even allowed to call Joe "Dad", for goodness sake!

How many of your family members and friends are going through the same problems you say the Jackson's have. I bet you have some of the same problems. It's called being human and born into sin. Give Joe a break, he did the best he could, and he brought up 9 beautiful children against all odds.

I'd probably have been a singer myself. Very impressive what God can create and these people are self taught and trained.... no American Idol.... no dance coaches. Wow this literally gave me the chills. Many blessings to the Mother Ms. Jackson. My heart pours out with love for your loses of Michael the child that did not make it at birth and Joe Jackson. Music industry would not be anything with out a Jackson in it. Peace and Love Jackson family and to all that read this. We are truly God's creation.

    Love this song, little mike just blows on this. That hunting organ being played on this great jam is just wicked, and the haronizing is too on point.

    That's an unknown supernatural gift Michael Jackson had...when he was entertaining..or singing ..either dancing...not talent...i can't teach bruno mars or usher that what Michael had ...if i could teach that ...and if they get in a few tries ...now that's talented....but Michael Jackson was born with what u see.... when u see him dancing n singing..he jst watched sum of the greats n got greater then them....that's an unknown supernatural gift....he was gifted from the start..

    Not only did I thoroughly enjoy both versions of this song by both The Jackson 5 and The Delfonics but similar-themed songs like "Remember The Rain" by 21st Century, "Those Were The Best Times of My Life" by The Modulations, "Do You Remember Yesterday?" by Ace Spectrum, "The Good Old Days" by The Main Ingredient, both songs called "Memory Lane" by Minnie Riperton and by Terry Ellis, "Reflections" by Diana Ross & The Supremes, "I Wish" by Stevie Wonder and "Remember The Time" by Michael Jackson when he got older. By the way, thanks for the full intro, which completely explains why Diana put Michael's name out front!

    I just heard this song for the first time yesterday seeing this clip on Instagram. Looking at another UA-cam video of this song I found out it was originally recorded by The Delfonics. It definitely sounds like a Delfonics song.

    Michael was the cutest thing at his young age, I just loved his singing at that age and the whole group band of Jackson 5. They were the best band at that time. But I just don't know what had happened to him as he got older. He changed dramatically to some one else, it's very sad. I just teared watch this band now. I hope you're in the good and divine place where the bright lights are.

    The Jackson 5 used to do those heavy Soul songs early on and it is said that Michael knew more than 100 songs by heart at an early age and Berry Gordy thought Michael sung those songs with so much conviction that it would creep out the listeners who heard a young boy singing painful songs. He felt a boy his age should sing about what a boy his age would know. That's why songs like ABC and Love you save were written.

      But it made sense when you consider the joke on Sammy Davis, Jr.! Sammy Davis' part was edited out of the final broadcast so it makes sense for Joe to be have been pissed - there was no other context to put that in!

    Even being the baby of the group M.J. was born 2 be a leader & always on time, I think his bro's did 1 hand movements 2 many. Notice 1:29 Mikey jumps in the air w/the beat & stops on a dime. An ear 4 the sound ,his body & the beat were as 1.That's my lil' man, how can u not fall in luv w/M.J. & his Angelical voice should melt away any hate in ur heart (unless U R the devil)...Luvumore my Sweet Spirit.
