How do you make sure one fits inside another rather than them both being the same size and won't slide together? In other words to you make the lid 2 or 3 mm larger square than the lower box? A commentary would be useful !
The trick is at 4:07. You need to make sure that when you fold the paper you leave a few mm in the middle (they shouldn't touch) and that will make the box a bit bigger and it will fit

The 2 sheets are the same size. The second box is made with a little gap in the center to make it a little larger
