Work oders were not discussed in this video, but I have a question about them. I have BOM that have operations. When a MO is created it is also creating WO based on operation and steps. The problem I am having is work orders are saying they are ready to be worked on even when there are not enough materials to complete the WO. How do I keep a work order from being "ready" until all materials are available? I have checked the box "when all components are available" under manufacturing readiness but that doesnt seem to be doing what I thought it would. Thanks,
I was wondering the same thing. From what I can tell the 'Ready' status is just referring to if it's the next step in a series of operations - it has nothing to do with material availability. It's definitely a bit misleading. My workaround it to group by material availability, but if somebody has a better solution/know how to manipulate that status it would help a lot!
In Odoo v14, when creating more than 1 quantity in a MO, this generates multiple MOs. I am trying to explain the thinking behind this change to a client. Does anyone understand the ideas behind this change?
Thanks to phrases in this video like "I'm out of beer" and "let's build a BOM," I'm sure I am now on some federal watch list ... big brother's listening ... 😂😂😂
In Odoo 14 MTO is archived. To add the functionality in this video, go to Inventory -> Routes ( Filter -> Archived ). Click on 'Replenish on Order (MTO)' and choose 'Action' -> 'Unarchive'.
Hi David, The best is to send a ticket to our Support via www.odoo.com/help. They'll be able to look directly in your database why the MTO is archived. Best CLO
@@Odoo All new databases have MTO archived. I was very surprised, especially since I now see how much additional functionality the MTO option adds. You should have it as an option in settings.
@@davidbarrett2199 You are 100% right that new additional functionality is now available with the MTO option now, and it really improves the relationship between the MO and SO. So I really encourage people to use this option if it helps serve their particular use case. Putting it in the configuration settings as an option would be nice, so it's valuable feedback. Thanks
@@davidbarrett2199 Hello David! I had trouble finding Inventory -> Routes (Filter -> Archived). Did you mean the Inventory app, then Routes menu? If yes, I can't find anything that says Routes.
Where is the BOM template? is it a feature that I can switch on or do I have to design it?

@@galaxybrainkid1222 I ended up modifying the xml to not show the start button it the material was not available.
very nice👍. Is there a way to get hold of the database for client demos?

Did they drop all this functionality, when they removed MTO from the products?
