I think Niclas will come back. He filled in for Jesper a lot of times and when Jesper left the band Niclas became a permanent member. Here the latest official news so far as I'm aware of.

Well Anders voice is not as strong as it used to be, because of age and maybe he is not maintaining it properly. Still it's decent, but could be much better.

@@IconoclastUK I went to Borgholm Brinner alone last year, because I needed to see In Flames for the first time. Got to know some cool people there. A young couple from Scotland, did moshpit with the guy Matt. It was awesome.
Then I also hung out with some random Swedes at the festival and they also happend to live at the same camping as me.
Borgholm Brinner was well organized. A fun mini festival.
The 2 bands that blew me away was Witchcraft and Skraeckoedlan. Amazing acts. Both very underrated.
In Flames was solid and put on a good show, though Anders is not as good as he used to be.
I can enjoy the newer records but not as much as Whoracle, The Jester Race, Subterranean, Lunar Strain, Clayman and Colony.
Everything after those records are on lower level, with good songs here and there.
I don't complain about the direction In Flames have taken, it's up to them.
And the last record was actually better than expected.

I was probably a bit too critical but they should leave the older stuff alone if they can't do it right (in my opinion at least). Glad you enjoyed the experience, it's always great to be part of something cool like that.

@@IconoclastUK Yeah, one gem that they played is Behind Space 99.
the original version with Mikael Stanne is the best one though.
We were all super drunk when At the Gates played, which is supposed to be good. Heard and song or 2 but we went out to buy more beer and got stuck.
Still had a great time. :)
