Dr Baruch's teachings associating the later horns in Daniel ch 8 with a European source were published prior to the appointment of Ursula von der Leyen as leader of the European Commission. Mrs von der Leyen is the mother of seven children.
Jeremiah 15 v9 says "The mother of seven will grow faint and breathe her last. Her sun will set while it is still day; she will be disgraced and humiliated."
Last week in Ankara she was humiliated by a proponent of Islam.
Jeremiah was right about the 70 years of exile - is he right abut this too?
Is it possible the little horn is the United States, since it was born out of Europe?
If Dan 9:24, vision 2377, Khaw-zone is 490 years. Dan 8:13,14, 2377, vision, Khaw-zone has to be 2300 years according to Ezek 4:6, Numb 14:34. Why? Because Dan 9:24 is the word determined ,2852, Chathak, cut off from Dan 8:13:14 vision 2377, Khaw-zone. Dan 8:15 appearance 4857, Mareh.
Dan 8:16, the vision 4857, Mareh was made known to Daniel but not the 2377, vision Khaw-zone. It was revealed in Dan 9:24, 2377, vision Khaw-zone.

In time of Christ, religious leaders were blind leading the people. Rev 17:5 non other than the Papacy on 7 hills Vatican City Rev 17:9 has corrupted Christianity with false doctrines Rev 14:8, 17:1,2, 19:2, and Ministers and world is drunken by teachings of the antichrist the Papacy. Rev 18:4 God is calling His people out into His Remnant Church of bible Prophecy, Rev 12:17, 14:12, Commandment keeping Christians having the Faith of Jesus.
Up lift or cast down, wrong! In hebrew Daniel 8:11 says up lift, rise the continuum, because this daily sacrifice is not about animal sacrifice. But Daniel 8:12 refers to interruption of animal sacrifice, because it is about the continuum for prevarication (sin). Both continuos will be terminated in the middle of the week. Until 2020/2021 nobody could imagine other continuum than animal sacrifice.
I thank you for your insights but have some disagreements. There remains a debate in how to understand these verses as past history or future events. The vision pertaining to the last days does not preclude it being a process commencing with the near future(now past) of Alexander of Greece defeating the Persian empire and ending with the still future little horn of the anti Christ. You insist that the little horn comes out of the west and European component of Alexanders empire. I have read that northern Turkey was part of Alexanders western empire. But you are not incorporating the fact the empire was broken into the 4 winds of the compass or power centers. It makes just as good sense if not better that the little horn comes from one of the Islamic power centers. I do not know if the conflicts of historic past contained in the prophecy will be repeated in how the anti Christ establishes his empire. I think it is a better fit to look to a revived Islamic empire coming out of the old eastern Roman empire than to look to a revived European-Roman empire.
Chapters 2 - 7 were written in Aramaic, which was a common language for common people. Suddenly, Daniel switches back to Hebrew in Chapter 8, and we know Hebrew is the sacred language God chose to reveal himself to the Jewish people, used for workship and the study of Scripture. Why would you need a Greek book like Revelations or any of the epistles of Paul (written in Greek), to explain Jewish sacred text? Thats just bizarre..
Furthermore, from a Jewish perspective, why would one need phrases like 'Anti-Christ' to extract meaning to Jewish Scripture written by Jews for Jews? Super Bizarre! The word 'Christ' itself is a Greek word and If I was reading scripture at the time of Daniel, the word 'Christ' SURELY would have been used to reference abomination against a jealous Yahweh (The I AM), that punished HIS people for the sin of idolatry. The concept of a human 'Christ' that is himself a god (Greek philosophy) and shares the glory of Yahweh would have been a very confusing and contradicting concept for Jews.
What about the meaning of 'End times' ? In Daniel's time, there was no reason to believe the end would take place almost 3000 years later (today). Daniel lived during a difficult period where the world saw emerging world powers competing against each other. For the Jews, the events described in Daniel 8 already took place and they are perfectly registered in Ancient History.
I'm just a bit disappointed that the teachings here are not purely Jewish. You can't introduce Greek philosophy or Christian thinking to a sacred text that belongs strictly to the Jewish people. Why not show the Jewish interpretation and then show the Christian way of extracting meaning from Jewish Scripture. That would be a more honest approach.
