Thanks, Kevin and Lee! Ours came in the mail today, and we put it together when we came home for the evening. It feels great so far, and we appreciate the helpful guidance on choosing the right mattress for us.

@@serenitywithinthesilence I like it for the most part, but my wife is not sleeping well on it. There are body impressions on ours, but I have to check to see if they are a half-inch deep. I'm thinking it may just be too soft for us. What are our options since we've only had it three years?
Thanks Kevin & Lee. Just one issue. Arrived promptly 10-17 PLEASE THIS VIDEO IS NOT PROPER INSTALATION OF THE NEW CONSTRUCTION OF THEIR MATTRESSES. We received our Sleep Essentials Mattresses for our new adjustable Split Cal. King Adjustable Bed last week. Our reason is the pure Latex composition. We attempted to put together the 3 solid Latex pieces and insert into the provided mattress cover to no avail using the directions provided only here on UA-cam. How does one put 86 inch pieces of 3 Latex foundation into a 82 mattress cover as per directions on UA-cam? There are no instructions provided in the three rolled up Latex layers nor the mattress cover delivered. So the only directions are via UA-cam, which were followed to a tee! Guess what the directions don't work!!! Laying the 86in Latex layers to match exactly on base cover as instructed for proper fit was impossible, the Latex is 86" the base layer is 82". We then assumed the cover delivered was the wrong size although labeled Cal. Split King. When called Sleep Essentials on Saturday we received a call promptly on early Monday. We were told the video on UA-cam was outdated (the only instructions available) and needed updating. The procedure of installing the topper was different now. "The bottom of the topper is 82" for a split Cali. King, the topper is now wrapped under the foam pieces so the zipper is underneathth finished mattress not bottom corners as shown" Someone following the directions provided would not know this. It would be nice for this information to be provided when the mattress pieces are received to avoid panic when you find 86" of Latex you are supposed to stuff into the measured '82 inches of cover (attempting to align the first layer directly square on the base cover as as it shows on the UA-cam video, you can't so you think there was an error in ordering". Please Sleep Essentials correct your direction UA-cam video please or in the least provide information on your ordered mattresses and cover. This complication made installation difficult for us since we had no mattress (bed) for three days until able to talk with your salesperson. My husband had just had major eye surgery and needed badly to be comfortable, thus the purchase.. It Forced him to sleep on the bare Latex awaiting response information. Love the bed, looking forward to now be able to be properly put together, Doug and Lea Cook Tuesday 10-26
I understand why you have the stretchy cover, but why not have another option for us people that like an easier method for encasing the mattresses (zipper on top) and I like having piping along the edge for added edge support. All that type takes to meet fire regs is to use rayon in the cover material. This is the only reason I decided to buy elsewhere.
I bought this, last November and within 3 months I starting to wake up with lower back pain, neck issues, and hip issues, bought the kind the store owner uses. One of the big reasons I bought it, does not break down. however does not do me good if one keeps waking up with back issues, Hip, and neck. Note it is not just me my wife also is waking up with back issues. So today I bought a MyPillow Pillow topper that will go over this bed. 3" with a 60-day trial. Looking forward, or should I say hoping to wake up with no back issues or hip or neck. Let me know if anyone has found a bed that when you wake up one has no pain! Thanks if you have any questions let me know. 'I am 64 years old and my wife is younger.
Just got my bed today in Michigan. Thanks for the 2 pillows to make up for delivery delay. Do I need to lay out each layer and let them expand before I re-roll them up and put them on the frame. If so, how long should they sit before I assemble? Also want to add what a handsome assistant you have. He reminds me of my son at that age.
Having to go through all that just to put the bed together would drive me nuts. I don't have anyone to help. So guess your bed is out for me. It would be so much easier to have something on the bottom that has sides on it and in that you put your layers in. Then the top is folded over and zipped. You make too much work to out together. Please design something better that would hold the layers in like some other latex manufacturer make. Then, one person could make the bed.
I am curious as to why your cover zips at the bottom? I plan to purchase a mattress from the Raleigh store next week (waiting for my frame to arrive before delivery). When I looked at other brands that have layers of latex, they all zipped along the top. Certainly not a big issue, but it the mattress will sit about 2" below the side boards on my frame making it difficult to get at the zipper. Does the 12" cover also zip on the bottom?
We zip along the bottom for a better finished look and so you can't feel the zipper when sitting on the side. The 12" is identical. I hope this makes sense.
This message goes out to anyone that has had one of these beds for a couple years or more. I’m 5’11” about 240 lbs. and looking for a new bed. How do you like yours? I’m especially curious if your someone about my size, what combination of firmness works for you? Thanks in advance.

Mattresses are required to be flame retardant which means you will be sleeping in chemicals if you buy a mattress. The only way to get one without is to make your own. So yes you'll have to assemble it or get someone to help you, like a friend or family member.

What are your mattress covers natural and what are they made out of?
And are they breathable?
