Rarity’s part was by far my favorite AJ interaction. The hints of them being more than just friends, the way her guilt directly relates to things that actually impacted that night, and the way AJ’s anger seems in character due to how she was desperate to know what happened to AppleBloom.
It could be just me speculating but: AJ being the only one to have a nickname for Rarity, Lost commenting “don’t worry guys it’s just a lover’s quarrel”, AJ not actually attacking her until the very end unlike the others.

She did leave her beaten quite a bit ye But she didn't finish her off like the others and just killed her sister, which is honestly to me. Felt like her punishment and was cruel. It's really interesting how each character so far has had a completely different depiction of Applejack, due to their own hallucinations and experiences. In a way, how Applejack acts towards them each differently seems to be the opposite of their own traumas and actions. Twilight: malnourished- skeletal and sunken (deranged, whilst twilight has conned her own sanity by trying to bury the real truth). Pinkie: haggard, matted and hateful (vengeful, whilst pinkie pie was the most forgiving towards AJ). Fluttershy: demonic and unsettling (manipulative, whilst fluttershy was easily the most naive and her animals were manipulated). Rarity: devoided, aged and bulky (merciless, whilst all rarity wanted was to heal from her guilt and find peace for what she did). Rainbow: a demonic, conglomerated monster (malignant, whilst rainbow was the hero that ended AJ's murder spree). I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE FINALE!!!
I think that Discord might be doing this. After realizing what Twilight did to apple Jack and how her friends pretty much turn their backs on her. He started to think everything they ever said about friendship was a lie.
Alright, I'm starting to believe the "hallucination" theory. Applejack's powers have evolved from insane to absurd. I don't care HOW many potions she drank, no way she could turn into a Timberwolf! (Or whatever that monster was.) And RD just so happened to fall where she was! If this theory is right, this adds a whole new layer of tragedy to all of this. All the girls have just snapped and unknowingly killed their loved ones. Starlight, the Cakes, the animals, Sweetie, and now Soarin. We're approaching the finale now, and I know there will be more bloodshed.
I have a theory that all her friends are hallucinating apple Jack. Once Twilight's friends finally snap out of it, I think we all know who they are going to blame. They're probably going to decide to leave and start a new life somewhere else. Leaving twilight behind to face the problem of the mob alone.
Also, her physical looks is completely different with each pony she goes to. The way she is described is how the mane 6 envision Applejack after everything happened from the first story

I can't say Rarity deserves this at all. I mean, who wouldn't freeze up when they see their family member brutally murdered and left to rot. And who decided splitting up was a good idea? This is Applejack we're talking about. The muscle of the group. Who besides Rainbow has a chance at beating her in a one-on-one fight? Twilight should had her friends stay together and work as one unit.
It's clear that Applejack isn't actually there; that she's a hallucination brought on from possibly lack of sleep, guilt and the same potion Twilight gave AJ in the first place.

Part 4 will be the (theoretical) twist climax. With Celestia and Luna coming to PonyVille after receiving word of the gruesome killings. Twilight and the others in a manic state, telling them of the attacks by AppleJack. Only for the horrified princesses to then inform them that the communique they sent Twilight was actually telling her of AppleJack's death. This story has made me think of Poe's 'Tell-Tale Heart'. Where the subject's guilt of his actions caused him to hallucinate his victim's heartbeat, causing him to break down and confess. Thoughts?
11:24 to 11:35 that "uh uh" that apple jack gave was so subtle yet it literally sent a shiver of fear up my neck. She just sounded so fed up, yet it was so soft, so matter of fact sounding, just chills man! I know there's the bigger moments and the more profound rage, but it's that subtle stuff that really gets to me. Narrator really nailed it, incredible performance.
Rainbowdashes chapter of this part just confirms to me that this is all happening in there heads. The guilt of what happened is finally coming back to haunt them
Rarity's part hurt me in a different way than the others. A lot of fics kind of paint Rarity as the most selfish of the Six, but in reality, she has such a pure, selfless heart. She really doesn't deserve this 😭 But the guilt Rarity feels is so believable. This part is SO well done. Great job to everyone involved 👏👏👏
People paint her out as the more selfish one, simply because she’s the girly one of the group, and people automatically connect girly to awful women like Regina George from mean girls. Also probably because she takes advantage of Spike… even tho they all do
@MaidenOfHusbands Yeah, the treatment of Spike didn't age well... but you're right, everypony was guilty at some point (except maybe Fluttershy?). Twilight treated him way worse than Rarity tbh, in everyday home life. Rarity probably gave Spike work to do so he wouldn't just stare at her with heart eyes all day, lol. Unless she was somehow oblivious to his crush, in which case she was probably just trying to involve one of her friends in her hobby. But it's done purely for comedy in the show, and looking past the Spike stuff, I really can't see any character more different from Regina George than Rarity. Her hospitality, flattering words, and of course her generosity are extremely telling of how great a pony she is! Not flawless, but certainly not selfish! 😁
@@11ConstantlyConfused11 The show went over that just being an element didn't make them a pure paragon of that element. Rarity had moments of selfishness, but they were few compared to her moments of generosity. She also showed that she's capable of manipulating other ponies, not just Spike. But she never did it in a way that left others in a worse situation. She sometimes rudely judged others, but usually it was fashion or looks related which is her zone of business and wasn't meant to be cruel. Think a primary problem is that there were more of these moments in the earlier seasons which more people watched and left more people with the undeveloped stereotype of her character
I love how the voices reflect their fears *Twilight* : mostly female narration occasionally herself or many others Shows the guilt she herself feels about the lies of what happened to Apple Jack but also the pressure of continuing to lie about it when she had to right a speech. The guilt and pressure to lie to everyone. *Pinkie pie* : generally female but had a bit more times of it being a more than one narration (and her own) Reflects her terror over the situation yet guilt she gave up on Apple Jack, gave up on trying to keep communicating with her former best friend *Flutter shy* (bit of a stretch): her own narration and more than one narration Reflects the idea of doing what everyone else does and possibly the things she had seen. Her doing whatever everyone else does also reflects on the idea of Apple Jack calling her a “critter” *Rarity* : overall male narrator and herself (occasionally hear a different narration of the two) This shows the regret of her not acting when she could to cure Apple Jack and the grief over her dead father. Lastly, *Rainbow dash* : overall Apple Jack narrating Showing her fear and trauma of what Apple Jack inflicted on her and unknowingness on how to deal with it, and mostly sought for revenge towards Apple Jack (last bit is iffy)
The hallucinations theory is starting to be more believable. Perhaps each one being tied to what they most regretted in the situation that happned with Apple Jack. Twilight: Regretting giving her that potion. Pinkie Pie: Regretting not seeing or visit AJ after the incident. Fluttershy: Having some kind of survivor guilt perhaps. Rarity: Regretting not doing more to stop the murders and her sister's friends. Rainbow Dash: Regretting not ending the madness sooner and killing AJ. This makes it more terrifying when you realize that means THEY killed those ponies during the hallucinations. Twilight accidentally killing Starlight with the blast, perhaps the hallucination triggered by seeing that old hidden away room and accidentally knocking over a few potions. Pinkie Pie accidentally killing Mrs. Cake with that knife, could of been triggered by the high stress she was under to finsih the sweets for the next day and the accidental fire she started. Flutter Shy accidentally perhaps killing her rabbit while trying to get her animals to safety, perhaps she was triggered by paranoia. I think her animals knew something was up and tried yo calm her down but in her paranoid state she thought they were attacking her instead. Rarity accidentally killing her sister when she thought she was going after and fighting AJ. For the writing on the wall it could of been something she did and just simply doesn't remember. Finally Rainbow Dash, after the crash, mixed of already being tired and the dark forest trees she has an ptsd episode perhaps. Believing that the shovel she saw was the same shovel along with the small glimpses of us seeing that she's aware at first it was all fake and it wasn't actually happening and the glimpse of her reliving what her fight with AJ was like before AJ was cured. In the end she accidentally murders her wonder bolt friend. In the end this whole story was wonderful in story telling and leaves the viewer guessing on what is and and isn't true,making them have their own conclusions. 10/10 beautiful work
you know what really does it for me? I don't think ANYONE except the mane 6 even see Applejack or mention her. And all of them die unable to speak and say anything to reveal that AJ isn't there. And when Pinkie grabs Pound Cake he struggles and bites her, which could mean he was afraid of her because she killed Mrs Cake.
Having applejack narriate her friend going through a whole PTSD episode is insane 💀💀 No seriously though, having her narriate rainbow dashes section was genuinely so clever. Amazing work.
Truth be told, when I was brainstorming how I was going to put together each of the mane 6's parts, I was the most nervous about how I was going to push the envelope with the audio. Each part has been me trying to bring something new each time, and the amount of praise and love I've seen with this project has really helped my confidence in terms of directing and audio production (especially since after this, I'm finally branching out and doing some more original stories, but don't worry, there will always be pony lol) Thank you for the kind words though! ❤
i love the fact that at rainbow's part, it switch applejack speaking as the narrator, the narrator is really good at switching from her normal voice to applejack's voice and they also made it very clear that applejack is now in full control of the narrative as she switches up to third person and first person

Im still convinced AJ is a mass hallucinatiin, that she actually died in jail, and the rest of the 6 found out. I think their guilt is causing them to hallucinate and kill their own loved ones/friends, their minds convincing them that AJ had come back to punish them. Especially considering the way each pony pictures AJ, its different for each one of them, it would make sense that their hallucinations are just sloghtly different, a way they now view AJ after seeing her under the effects of the potion.
I wonder if there will be another sleep experiment mlp this time with different characters. Like flash dealing with losing Twilight, and her brother suffering the guilt of his failure as her brother. As well as Apple Jack's brother or Mr. Baker. I can imagine them being sleep-deprived and start hallucinating.
The thing is, she can't blame herself. She doesn't even remember what happened. Also there's no guarantee that this is actually her and not just a shared hallucination
technically this all was twilights fault if you’re looking to blame someone. she gave her the potion without knowing what could happen and then tried to gaslight applejack into thinking that she had a spontaneous mental break.
This is why I think that the real AJ is there, but isn't fighting. The real AJ spiked the others with the potion, and is in the background of some - if not all - watching this all go down. Specifically, the real AJ was seen by Sweetie, but the hallucinations caused Rarity to kill Sweetie as the real AJ escaped [How AJ seemingly teleported past that final hit] + The rainbow AJ narration leads me to believe that AJ was watching Rainbow go a bit crazy and narrating it. Running like prey? Beause the real AJ never took the potion. The real AJ is RD's prey. The real AJ didn't expect Loyalty to be so determined, to not give up and into delusion where the others had lost themselves.

I admit, RD's part made me cry. She just wanted to save ppl in ASE, and in this? She was obviously tormented by PTSD, and whter AJ is real or not, RD was only trying to fix her self perceived mistakes.
AJ casually killed Lost and became the narrator in the later part. Seems like a metaphor to show that we, the audience, also gets "hallucinations" of AJ
Dude I feel the most bad for rarity. She saw her own father’s corpse, and couldn’t do anything. She got frozen by fear and dread. I feel the most bad for her tbh.
And in contrast, in this scenario, Rainbow’s ego and pride was her downfall and the indirect cause of Soarin’s death I imagine that in Equestria, flying is very similar to driving, in the sense that when you’re flying, you cannot get distracted because if you do, you or someone else could die or be seriously injured.
I went into this series thinking it was a My Little Pony Parody of The Russian Sleep Experiment, boy was I wrong. This is genuinely one of the greatest MLP Creepypastas/Grimdark fics I've ever heard! And you guys put so much life into this with all the voices and artwork!! Keep it up, you're doing amazing! :D
Holy FUCK this hit so much harder than I was expecting omg. I remember listening to the ASE reading back in high school and hearing this slow, agonizing resolution as a college grad is just amazing. SO well performed!!!!

I do love the writing, it is really good. I think if it isn't going to be a "only in their heads no Applejack" ending, that it's really Apple Bloom disguised as Applejack to torment the others on this anniversary and frame them for murders. That or supernatural wraiths tormenting them. I mean look, I liked Shutter Island and Jacob's Ladder and the like (at least done well). Not many have a favorable remembrance for, say, The Village.
if it was apple bloom, why would she go after Sweetie belle, who is her friend? I would think they would want to be there for each other after that night, i could see her being involved somehow though

My theory is that Apple Jack did actually escape and the AJ Twilight saw in her lab was real, but she left shortly after breaking into Twilight's lab and drinking those potions, which did actually enhance her speed and sight. But because of the amount of potion fumes Twilight must have inhaled in the struggle, she began hallucinating AJ throughout the rest of the palace. While her brain was telling her that AJ was attacking Starlight, Twilight might have been the one attacking Starlight instead, which is why Starlight looked confused when she saw Twilight grieving over her. I'm not entirely sure how AJ did it with the other mane 6, but I think that she was actually there with them at the beginning of the struggle (we do see Sweetie Bell screaming at the sight of Apple Jack in Rarity's chapter), but when the ponies began to hallucinate, she ran off, leaving the grief-stricken, angry girls to attack their loved ones, thinking they were attacking AJ. This is her revenge on Twilight and the others - not coming in and killing the mane 6's loved ones, but forcing them to destroy and kill the people they cared about most, just like Apple Jack had once she drank Twilight's potion. She wants them to feel the exact same pain that she felt when she was locked away.
I've suspected from the beginning that the rest of the Mane Six are just hallucinating AJ due to the trauma they all went through, and AJ's powers here solidified that in my mind. There's also a theme/theory of the others killing someone close to them (Rainbow and Soarin, Pinkie and the Cakes, ect.) And i believe these hallucinations are causing the others to kill, when they think it's Applejack that actually did the killing. They're blind to what they're doing. Excellent acting and sound mixing from everyone involved! Looking forward to the final chapter!
this is awesome. I discovered you years ago during middle school as a depressed kid who needed help. now listening to these stories when i'm healthy is just wonderful. thank you lost, and everyone who has ever been involved in these readings.
Oh boy, Dash and Rarity are next... So right now I see two possibilities, AppleJack isn't real and everypony is tripping, or, maybe she did escape and all those potions she took in part 1 are giving her all those abilities. And there's also a possibility that... I'M GOING TO GET GASLIT AGAIN!
so Sweetie Bell reacted to apple jack makes me think that she is real? but then the whole trauma reliving with Dash happened and its just a mindblown (im still hyped as hell after that part) we will only ever know in the finale

Rarity's part has to be my favorite, probably because we learned something new about what happened. She saw applejack but was too frozen in fear and grief to use the syringe on her and because of that she now blames herself for applebloom's death. And holy hell even though i know applejack isn't really there i was ROOTING FOR HER. She was pushing through her freeze response to try and save her sister. Too bad it was all for naught :(

I dont know about Soren forgiving her, given how irritated he was at her since she cracked the whip during the training. And the races. And the fact she's an egomaniac. I'd say them falling into the forest and subsequently beaten brutally would have broken any trust he had in her, given he were still alive.

Ah love the twists and turns on this one. I think that Applebloom is still alive, since we never got a confirm that she was indeed dead. Maybe Applebloom went into hiding, or madness and Rarity blames herself for the the foals retraction from Ponyville?
Rainbow's story was such a masterful way to use the fact Lost also voices Applejack. That helped the voices transition so smoothly it actually gave me shivers!

i think all of them are insane. Would be cool if in the end everyone in ponyvile had their own demons. Basically a chemical that dispersed with the wind. And would be why they all had the illusions of AJ at same time.

So now Sweetie Belle and Soarin are added to Applejack's victims. Sweetie didn't have to pay too! Little innocent Sweetie Belle!! She's left Rarity with no sister now! That's the worst thing she could have done to her! I'm proud of Dashie for fighting so well even if she accidentally hacked Soarin to death. Her once called friends are probably going to hunt her down now! They've all lost something because of her! Lets hope this finale will have us left with our jaws open! Can't imagine how much fun you love voicing Applejack Lost! You are amazing as Rainbow too!
Lost, this was amazing. I'm also wondering if Applejack has been real this whole time or an hallucination. The Rarity part made it seem like it was an hallucination but then Applejack's dialogue at the end made it seem like it she is real. Props to you and Mag, making it seem like it could be one thing while possibly being another. Also the voice acting and art work have been amazing.
My current theory is theory is that both is true. Applejack *did* escape, and somehow spiked the others with the potion. AJ is taking advantage of the hallucinations that the others are experiencing. At least, that’s my theory.
@@PositiveLycan I’ve heard of this theory and it’s a good one but I gotta question. Why the deaths of the innocent that had nothing to do with it? If applejacks reasoning is to make the others become crazy like she did and make them suffer for what they did to her it’s insanity to think that applejack would have them kill people that did nothing. Like sweetie Belle was apple blooms best friend, crazy to think applejack would allow this illusion to cause her death to happen. And I can only imagine the rest of the cake family is dead due to pinkie. And pumpkin was just a kid and now she’s most likely dead. I don’t know it’s hard to think about. Sure she maybe be angry but harming innocent children?
Not me finding all the music in the credits. Also, amazing job! The art, not to mention the writing! You can tell how much effort you and your team put into this, and the voice acting has so much emotion in it, it's just perfect!
you could be one of the most down right monstrously talented, most creative, most irritatingly fantastic narrator i have ever laid my listening ears on. But trust me when i tell you, i watched all three of these and i need to say that you made me feel like i was in their predicament, i felt what they were feeling, i was pulled in and this cliff hanger made my heart drop. in conclusion thank you for this i can never look at MLP the same EVER again.

Honestly…I hope eveyone knows AJ died a long time ago, the pony she is now is nothing but the culmination of frustrations, anger, hatred and bloodlust she’d had to endure for the past 7 years. Seriously 7 years of silence, 7 years of hoping, begging, praying that any one of her other 4 friends would have the thought to save her, to reason with Twilight. Just to find out they’ve all pretend as though she died? That makes my heart ache just thinking about that. But apple jack died in that cellar probably just months or so in. Every day just losing herself to that betrayal. It hurts especially knowing how easy it would have been to just make up a similar excuse, or just tell the truth. But she’s gone now, and twilight has to face her consequences.
AAAAAAAAAAAAH this was absolutely worth the wait, holy CRAP Rarity's part was just, Perfection but Rainbow's? Its actually understandable for how she acts in the heat of where her trauma started, that was pure PTSD infueled panic and rage. In lieu of her character it makes Sense that she'd go to attack and try to kill the false wood monster. Killing her friend was just an unfortunate side effect of that- seeing as she quite literally couldn't tell the difference in the haze of that trauma. Overall you KILLED IT lost! this was amazing in every sense of the word and i am so excited for the finale (and also poor apple bloom..)
The quality of these narrations are astounding! The voice acting and sounds and editing are really good! I hope you and Mag are feeling okay-- please take your time with the final part! But, I'm looking forward to it, whenever you finish!
This is just as good like Part 1 and 2, there is nothing more I need to say to say how amazingly awesome it is. And the fact Applejack narrates through rainbow dash's part is scary, yet terrifyingly good. I will be so ready for when part 4 will arrive very soon.

I just noticed - there seems to be hints in each of the chapters about the hallucination theory - in rarity’s part when it showed her little sisters body if u pause at the right time u can see what looks like scratches or stab marks on the body and with the scene when rarity was on her back the scissors had blood on them… I could be wrong and it could just be rarity’s blood on them when she grabbed them while crawling but it’s still interesting🤷♂️

I have always firmly believed in and loved the idea of fates worse than death. It’s a concept that it’s sometimes hard to find good representations of in media. This chapter nailed it not once but twice. Truly incredible, both in writing and performance. These stories are more terrifying than mere murder. The quality is worth the wait. Anyone who thinks otherwise can take that opinion past the farthest reaches of the west fields or meet the business end of Shiela. Always remember to take your time and take care of yourself ❤
Once again, I absolutely loved and enjoyed every second of part 3 Lost! You all did such a spectacular and phenomenal job bringing this part to life make no mistake about it! Both the art, and voice acting was done ever so incredibly! Truly masterful work guys and I look forward to part 4!!!
Ok, its clear that each mane six are under the influence of the Sleepless potion and are having hallucinations of apple Jack, but I wonder… How did the potion get into their system? Why is this happening now after 7 years? Well this is my theory, but I think the one behind this is apple bloom, since they didn’t specified if she died or survived Apple Jacks attack, so what if she did survived but was put into a coma for a couple of years due to the injuries, and when she woke up and discovered what actually happened to apple Jack, she decided to take revenge on the mane six for what they did to her sister. Im so excited about part 3! Ive been waiting for weeks for this to come out because im absolutely in LOVE with this sequel. I remember when i was younger reading/listening to mlp creepypastas i would get sad cuz apple jack didnt have one and now she does. I love your channel, and hope that you & maggie are doing good
This is actually the sequel to the original if you haven't seen the first pony sleep experiment I highly recommend it as a rabid pony grimdark reader myself lost and the other voice cast did a great job on it
I see this going one of 2 ways seeing how it’s been set up. 1: given that RD landed in a Forrest, or the apple orchard. The pony she saw running might be Twilight. I think the next part will continue with her point of view, I think she’s going to kill Rainbow. Rainbow dash is now stalking around in that forrest, with a shovel, while Every pony is hallucinating. We already know that Twilight went to chase after the Aj she saw. Given the fact TWI’s version of her has “super speed” and even commented that Rainbow ‘would be jealous.’ If she found out. I’m pretty sure that’s setting up for why she’s so fast when Twilight sees “applejack” again. She’s going to kill rainbow, because she thinks it’s A,J. Twilight is going to kill one of her friends in her hallucination the same way that A,J did. Or. 2. Same thing, but Rainbow kills her. I’m convinced now that those two being the only ones left right now are going to fight one another thinking the other is AJ.
Definitely my favourite encounters with AJ so far!! It felt so immersive with the editing (the jumpscares!) and narration (4th wall breaks), along with the beautifully descriptive writing and artwork. Thank you Lost & Mag and crew for another wonderful addition to Another Apple Sleep Experiment. Can’t wait to see how it ends!! ❤
I’m watching this right in the dot of my birthday I’ve been loving this series so far the visuals, artwork and va’s it’s more than just effort this is something else I can quite put into words not just this video but every one produced 🙌🏻 -I also loved the voice changes in between scenes especially applejack monologuing

It's really interesting how each character so far has had a completely different depiction of Applejack, due to their own hallucinations and experiences. In a way, how Applejack acts towards them each differently seems to be the opposite of their own traumas and actions.
Twilight: malnourished- skeletal and sunken (deranged, whilst twilight has conned her own sanity by trying to bury the real truth).
Pinkie: haggard, matted and hateful (vengeful, whilst pinkie pie was the most forgiving towards AJ).
Fluttershy: demonic and unsettling (manipulative, whilst fluttershy was easily the most naive and her animals were manipulated).
Rarity: devoided, aged and bulky (merciless, whilst all rarity wanted was to heal from her guilt and find peace for what she did).
Rainbow: a demonic, conglomerated monster (malignant, whilst rainbow was the hero that ended AJ's murder spree).

Alright, I'm starting to believe the "hallucination" theory. Applejack's powers have evolved from insane to absurd. I don't care HOW many potions she drank, no way she could turn into a Timberwolf! (Or whatever that monster was.) And RD just so happened to fall where she was!
If this theory is right, this adds a whole new layer of tragedy to all of this. All the girls have just snapped and unknowingly killed their loved ones. Starlight, the Cakes, the animals, Sweetie, and now Soarin. We're approaching the finale now, and I know there will be more bloodshed.
I have a theory that all her friends are hallucinating apple Jack. Once Twilight's friends finally snap out of it, I think we all know who they are going to blame. They're probably going to decide to leave and start a new life somewhere else. Leaving twilight behind to face the problem of the mob alone.

I can't say Rarity deserves this at all. I mean, who wouldn't freeze up when they see their family member brutally murdered and left to rot. And who decided splitting up was a good idea? This is Applejack we're talking about. The muscle of the group. Who besides Rainbow has a chance at beating her in a one-on-one fight? Twilight should had her friends stay together and work as one unit.
It's clear that Applejack isn't actually there; that she's a hallucination brought on from possibly lack of sleep, guilt and the same potion Twilight gave AJ in the first place.

Part 4 will be the (theoretical) twist climax. With Celestia and Luna coming to PonyVille after receiving word of the gruesome killings. Twilight and the others in a manic state, telling them of the attacks by AppleJack. Only for the horrified princesses to then inform them that the communique they sent Twilight was actually telling her of AppleJack's death.
This story has made me think of Poe's 'Tell-Tale Heart'. Where the subject's guilt of his actions caused him to hallucinate his victim's heartbeat, causing him to break down and confess. Thoughts?

Rarity's part hurt me in a different way than the others. A lot of fics kind of paint Rarity as the most selfish of the Six, but in reality, she has such a pure, selfless heart. She really doesn't deserve this 😭 But the guilt Rarity feels is so believable. This part is SO well done. Great job to everyone involved 👏👏👏
People paint her out as the more selfish one, simply because she’s the girly one of the group, and people automatically connect girly to awful women like Regina George from mean girls. Also probably because she takes advantage of Spike… even tho they all do
@MaidenOfHusbands Yeah, the treatment of Spike didn't age well... but you're right, everypony was guilty at some point (except maybe Fluttershy?). Twilight treated him way worse than Rarity tbh, in everyday home life. Rarity probably gave Spike work to do so he wouldn't just stare at her with heart eyes all day, lol. Unless she was somehow oblivious to his crush, in which case she was probably just trying to involve one of her friends in her hobby.
But it's done purely for comedy in the show, and looking past the Spike stuff, I really can't see any character more different from Regina George than Rarity. Her hospitality, flattering words, and of course her generosity are extremely telling of how great a pony she is! Not flawless, but certainly not selfish! 😁

Rarity had moments of selfishness, but they were few compared to her moments of generosity. She also showed that she's capable of manipulating other ponies, not just Spike. But she never did it in a way that left others in a worse situation. She sometimes rudely judged others, but usually it was fashion or looks related which is her zone of business and wasn't meant to be cruel. Think a primary problem is that there were more of these moments in the earlier seasons which more people watched and left more people with the undeveloped stereotype of her character

Shows the guilt she herself feels about the lies of what happened to Apple Jack but also the pressure of continuing to lie about it when she had to right a speech. The guilt and pressure to lie to everyone.
*Pinkie pie* : generally female but had a bit more times of it being a more than one narration (and her own)
Reflects her terror over the situation yet guilt she gave up on Apple Jack, gave up on trying to keep communicating with her former best friend
*Flutter shy* (bit of a stretch): her own narration and more than one narration
Reflects the idea of doing what everyone else does and possibly the things she had seen. Her doing whatever everyone else does also reflects on the idea of Apple Jack calling her a “critter”
*Rarity* : overall male narrator and herself (occasionally hear a different narration of the two)
This shows the regret of her not acting when she could to cure Apple Jack and the grief over her dead father.
Lastly,
*Rainbow dash* : overall Apple Jack narrating
Showing her fear and trauma of what Apple Jack inflicted on her and unknowingness on how to deal with it, and mostly sought for revenge towards Apple Jack (last bit is iffy)
I absolutely loved reading this analysis of the different narrators. Seriously, comments like this always make my day. ❤
The hallucinations theory is starting to be more believable. Perhaps each one being tied to what they most regretted in the situation that happned with Apple Jack. Twilight: Regretting giving her that potion. Pinkie Pie: Regretting not seeing or visit AJ after the incident. Fluttershy: Having some kind of survivor guilt perhaps. Rarity: Regretting not doing more to stop the murders and her sister's friends. Rainbow Dash: Regretting not ending the madness sooner and killing AJ.
This makes it more terrifying when you realize that means THEY killed those ponies during the hallucinations. Twilight accidentally killing Starlight with the blast, perhaps the hallucination triggered by seeing that old hidden away room and accidentally knocking over a few potions. Pinkie Pie accidentally killing Mrs. Cake with that knife, could of been triggered by the high stress she was under to finsih the sweets for the next day and the accidental fire she started. Flutter Shy accidentally perhaps killing her rabbit while trying to get her animals to safety, perhaps she was triggered by paranoia. I think her animals knew something was up and tried yo calm her down but in her paranoid state she thought they were attacking her instead. Rarity accidentally killing her sister when she thought she was going after and fighting AJ. For the writing on the wall it could of been something she did and just simply doesn't remember. Finally Rainbow Dash, after the crash, mixed of already being tired and the dark forest trees she has an ptsd episode perhaps. Believing that the shovel she saw was the same shovel along with the small glimpses of us seeing that she's aware at first it was all fake and it wasn't actually happening and the glimpse of her reliving what her fight with AJ was like before AJ was cured. In the end she accidentally murders her wonder bolt friend.
In the end this whole story was wonderful in story telling and leaves the viewer guessing on what is and and isn't true,making them have their own conclusions. 10/10 beautiful work
you know what really does it for me? I don't think ANYONE except the mane 6 even see Applejack or mention her. And all of them die unable to speak and say anything to reveal that AJ isn't there. And when Pinkie grabs Pound Cake he struggles and bites her, which could mean he was afraid of her because she killed Mrs Cake.

Truth be told, when I was brainstorming how I was going to put together each of the mane 6's parts, I was the most nervous about how I was going to push the envelope with the audio. Each part has been me trying to bring something new each time, and the amount of praise and love I've seen with this project has really helped my confidence in terms of directing and audio production (especially since after this, I'm finally branching out and doing some more original stories, but don't worry, there will always be pony lol)

Im still convinced AJ is a mass hallucinatiin, that she actually died in jail, and the rest of the 6 found out. I think their guilt is causing them to hallucinate and kill their own loved ones/friends, their minds convincing them that AJ had come back to punish them. Especially considering the way each pony pictures AJ, its different for each one of them, it would make sense that their hallucinations are just sloghtly different, a way they now view AJ after seeing her under the effects of the potion.
I wonder if there will be another sleep experiment mlp this time with different characters. Like flash dealing with losing Twilight, and her brother suffering the guilt of his failure as her brother. As well as Apple Jack's brother or Mr. Baker.
I can imagine them being sleep-deprived and start hallucinating.

This is why I think that the real AJ is there, but isn't fighting. The real AJ spiked the others with the potion, and is in the background of some - if not all - watching this all go down. Specifically, the real AJ was seen by Sweetie, but the hallucinations caused Rarity to kill Sweetie as the real AJ escaped [How AJ seemingly teleported past that final hit] + The rainbow AJ narration leads me to believe that AJ was watching Rainbow go a bit crazy and narrating it. Running like prey? Beause the real AJ never took the potion. The real AJ is RD's prey. The real AJ didn't expect Loyalty to be so determined, to not give up and into delusion where the others had lost themselves.

I do love the writing, it is really good. I think if it isn't going to be a "only in their heads no Applejack" ending, that it's really Apple Bloom disguised as Applejack to torment the others on this anniversary and frame them for murders. That or supernatural wraiths tormenting them.

My theory is that Apple Jack did actually escape and the AJ Twilight saw in her lab was real, but she left shortly after breaking into Twilight's lab and drinking those potions, which did actually enhance her speed and sight. But because of the amount of potion fumes Twilight must have inhaled in the struggle, she began hallucinating AJ throughout the rest of the palace. While her brain was telling her that AJ was attacking Starlight, Twilight might have been the one attacking Starlight instead, which is why Starlight looked confused when she saw Twilight grieving over her. I'm not entirely sure how AJ did it with the other mane 6, but I think that she was actually there with them at the beginning of the struggle (we do see Sweetie Bell screaming at the sight of Apple Jack in Rarity's chapter), but when the ponies began to hallucinate, she ran off, leaving the grief-stricken, angry girls to attack their loved ones, thinking they were attacking AJ.
This is her revenge on Twilight and the others - not coming in and killing the mane 6's loved ones, but forcing them to destroy and kill the people they cared about most, just like Apple Jack had once she drank Twilight's potion. She wants them to feel the exact same pain that she felt when she was locked away.
I do see a way that it could be both the sleep potion and actual apple jack. She could be tormenting the main six with the help of the potion

I've suspected from the beginning that the rest of the Mane Six are just hallucinating AJ due to the trauma they all went through, and AJ's powers here solidified that in my mind. There's also a theme/theory of the others killing someone close to them (Rainbow and Soarin, Pinkie and the Cakes, ect.) And i believe these hallucinations are causing the others to kill, when they think it's Applejack that actually did the killing. They're blind to what they're doing.

Oh boy, Dash and Rarity are next... So right now I see two possibilities, AppleJack isn't real and everypony is tripping, or, maybe she did escape and all those potions she took in part 1 are giving her all those abilities. And there's also a possibility that... I'M GOING TO GET GASLIT AGAIN!
so Sweetie Bell reacted to apple jack makes me think that she is real? but then the whole trauma reliving with Dash happened and its just a mindblown (im still hyped as hell after that part)

Rarity's part has to be my favorite, probably because we learned something new about what happened. She saw applejack but was too frozen in fear and grief to use the syringe on her and because of that she now blames herself for applebloom's death. And holy hell even though i know applejack isn't really there i was ROOTING FOR HER. She was pushing through her freeze response to try and save her sister. Too bad it was all for naught :(

I dont know about Soren forgiving her, given how irritated he was at her since she cracked the whip during the training. And the races. And the fact she's an egomaniac.
I'd say them falling into the forest and subsequently beaten brutally would have broken any trust he had in her, given he were still alive.

Rainbow's story was such a masterful way to use the fact Lost also voices Applejack. That helped the voices transition so smoothly it actually gave me shivers!
Creepy how through the entire story aj slowly takes over the narrators it started with short blips here and there but now she is in full control of it

I have a theory that the mane 5 are hallucinating and going insane from the trauma of their close friend losing her sanity from Twilights experiment and they're really the ones hurting themselves and the ponies close to them while Applejack is still rotting in her prison cell.
I wonder if there will be another sleep experiment mlp this time with different characters. Like flash dealing with losing Twilight, and her brother suffering the guilt of his failure as her brother. As well as Apple Jack's brother or Mr. Baker.
I can imagine them being sleep deprived and hallucinating.
Aghhh the cliffhanger ending, I wanna hear how the fight ends so bad! Neat little change from the last couple ones though with Rainbow accidentally killing someone who she doesn't even like compared to the last few ponies murdering someone they cared for.

That's the worst thing she could have done to her! I'm proud of Dashie for fighting so well even if she accidentally hacked Soarin to death. Her once called friends are probably going to hunt her down now! They've all lost something because of her! Lets hope this finale will have us left with our jaws open! Lost, this was amazing. I'm also wondering if Applejack has been real this whole time or an hallucination. The Rarity part made it seem like it was an hallucination but then Applejack's dialogue at the end made it seem like it she is real. Props to you and Mag, making it seem like it could be one thing while possibly being another. Also the voice acting and art work have been amazing.
What if it's aj's ghost?
My current theory is theory is that both is true. Applejack *did* escape, and somehow spiked the others with the potion. AJ is taking advantage of the hallucinations that the others are experiencing. At least, that’s my theory.
I think she only uses the power of hallucinations in SOME situations, not all of them. It's to trick the others by deceiving them.
@@PositiveLycan I’ve heard of this theory and it’s a good one but I gotta question. Why the deaths of the innocent that had nothing to do with it? If applejacks reasoning is to make the others become crazy like she did and make them suffer for what they did to her it’s insanity to think that applejack would have them kill people that did nothing. Like sweetie Belle was apple blooms best friend, crazy to think applejack would allow this illusion to cause her death to happen. And I can only imagine the rest of the cake family is dead due to pinkie. And pumpkin was just a kid and now she’s most likely dead. I don’t know it’s hard to think about. Sure she maybe be angry but harming innocent children?

But trust me when i tell you, i watched all three of these and i need to say that you made me feel like i was in their predicament, i felt what they were feeling, i was pulled in and this cliff hanger made my heart drop. in conclusion thank you for this i can never look at MLP the same EVER again.

Honestly…I hope eveyone knows AJ died a long time ago, the pony she is now is nothing but the culmination of frustrations, anger, hatred and bloodlust she’d had to endure for the past 7 years.
Seriously 7 years of silence, 7 years of hoping, begging, praying that any one of her other 4 friends would have the thought to save her, to reason with Twilight. Just to find out they’ve all pretend as though she died? That makes my heart ache just thinking about that. But apple jack died in that cellar probably just months or so in. Every day just losing herself to that betrayal.
It hurts especially knowing how easy it would have been to just make up a similar excuse, or just tell the truth. But she’s gone now, and twilight has to face her consequences.

AAAAAAAAAAAAH this was absolutely worth the wait, holy CRAP
Rarity's part was just, Perfection but Rainbow's? Its actually understandable for how she acts in the heat of where her trauma started, that was pure PTSD infueled panic and rage. In lieu of her character it makes Sense that she'd go to attack and try to kill the false wood monster.
Killing her friend was just an unfortunate side effect of that- seeing as she quite literally couldn't tell the difference in the haze of that trauma.
Overall you KILLED IT lost! this was amazing in every sense of the word and i am so excited for the finale (and also poor apple bloom..)

This is just as good like Part 1 and 2, there is nothing more I need to say to say how amazingly awesome it is. And the fact Applejack narrates through rainbow dash's part is scary, yet terrifyingly good. I will be so ready for when part 4 will arrive very soon.

I just noticed - there seems to be hints in each of the chapters about the hallucination theory - in rarity’s part when it showed her little sisters body if u pause at the right time u can see what looks like scratches or stab marks on the body and with the scene when rarity was on her back the scissors had blood on them… I could be wrong and it could just be rarity’s blood on them when she grabbed them while crawling but it’s still interesting🤷♂️

I have always firmly believed in and loved the idea of fates worse than death. It’s a concept that it’s sometimes hard to find good representations of in media. This chapter nailed it not once but twice. Truly incredible, both in writing and performance. These stories are more terrifying than mere murder.
The quality is worth the wait. Anyone who thinks otherwise can take that opinion past the farthest reaches of the west fields or meet the business end of Shiela. Always remember to take your time and take care of yourself ❤

Ok, its clear that each mane six are under the influence of the Sleepless potion and are having hallucinations of apple Jack, but I wonder…
How did the potion get into their system?
Why is this happening now after 7 years?
Well this is my theory, but I think the one behind this is apple bloom, since they didn’t specified if she died or survived Apple Jacks attack, so what if she did survived but was put into a coma for a couple of years due to the injuries, and when she woke up and discovered what actually happened to apple Jack, she decided to take revenge on the mane six for what they did to her sister. Making them go threw the same hell apple Jack went threw with the sleepless potion.
(And since apple bloom knows how to make potions, and it would be interesting that she tried to make a replica of the sleepless potion.)

Im so excited about part 3! Ive been waiting for weeks for this to come out because im absolutely in LOVE with this sequel. I remember when i was younger reading/listening to mlp creepypastas i would get sad cuz apple jack didnt have one and now she does. I love your channel, and hope that you & maggie are doing good
This is actually the sequel to the original if you haven't seen the first pony sleep experiment I highly recommend it as a rabid pony grimdark reader myself lost and the other voice cast did a great job on it
I already watched it when it first came out, ASE will always have my heart!
I see this going one of 2 ways seeing how it’s been set up.
1: given that RD landed in a Forrest, or the apple orchard. The pony she saw running might be Twilight. I think the next part will continue with her point of view, I think she’s going to kill Rainbow. Rainbow dash is now stalking around in that forrest, with a shovel, while Every pony is hallucinating. We already know that Twilight went to chase after the Aj she saw. Given the fact TWI’s version of her has “super speed” and even commented that Rainbow ‘would be jealous.’ If she found out. I’m pretty sure that’s setting up for why she’s so fast when Twilight sees “applejack” again.
She’s going to kill rainbow, because she thinks it’s A,J.
Twilight is going to kill one of her friends in her hallucination the same way that A,J did.
Or. 2. Same thing, but Rainbow kills her. I’m convinced now that those two being the only ones left right now are going to fight one another thinking the other is AJ.
Definitely my favourite encounters with AJ so far!! It felt so immersive with the editing (the jumpscares!) and narration (4th wall breaks), along with the beautifully descriptive writing and artwork. Thank you Lost & Mag and crew for another wonderful addition to Another Apple Sleep Experiment. Can’t wait to see how it ends!! ❤
