It’s not likely Devon will ever pass 300 lbs. Even if he did, it would work against his arm wrestling capabilities at 280 ish lbs.
Taking Levon out - it’s hard to see that. But not impossible.
We like to see the possibility of seeing devon lose against other opponents because he's a mouthy guy, he's a guy who humiliates and makes fun of his opponents when he knows he's going to win.. unfortunately he uses a lot of tricks that should be prohibited and the last one he He has used is king move .. he argues a lot with the referees as well as his wife who keeps screaming all the time. when he faced Denis and levan it could be seen that he is not really strong. outside the wal devon is nothing. he never faces strong guys because he knows they will beat him like for example laletin, zaur... revaz and in this case Ermes... now he is happy to face Ermes because he has everything to gain and nothing to lose. He doesn't deserve to face Ermes but he does deserve to face laletin, revaz, zaur, morozov... what a coincidence that Ermes always looked for him for two years and Devon always hid? because he knew that he could lose to Ermes and his false reputation as a great arm wrestler would be exposed.. now he sees the opportunity and is happy but he is just an opportunist.

i get why Devon gets the chance - everyone else is hurt or already pulled Levan and Ermes. But doesnt sit right with me losing to Genadi and getting a shot at #1 in world. Going to be Real Crazy rankings if Devon pulls it off though. A complete and total reset. Really hoping he wins just for that alone

2 reasons why devon might beat ermes,
1. dave moved ermes near pin pad but couldn't move devon off centre, u can argue dave was in worse shape when he faced devon and ermes is better now, but it wasn't long ago.
2, levan couldn't crack devons wrist but cracked ermes wrist completely

Timing is perfect! All this narratives about Devon dodging Ermes is false. Devon was never interested in opponents he feel he can beat easily. He wants tough hard challengers. He has the same problem that Levan has - being too dominant.

I perfectly remember the attitude of Devon and what he said to Ermes, and the way he said that. I'm not sure, I actually think Devon will win. I think Ermes will fight him though, won't be like his other blow out victories. But there's signs and reasons of why he could win. I think Devon lost to genadi because he was playing with him. He felt so superior that he was doing things unusual and wanted to make a statement..plus bad ref calls made it way too much of a risk and he lost gambling on that. It wasn't a total shut out victory for genadi.
