- Hyland Hills is such a special place and I truly believe there is no other place like this one on the planet. After going to 3 tow rope parks this week, I got a better idea of how tow rope parks are. Snowboarding a tow rope park allows you to get so many laps on your snowboard it is crazy. It makes so much sense why these kids are so good at snowboarding. I wish Colorado had a tow rope at one of the mountains because you can 5 times the mount of hits on one feature. I really enjoy this trip out to Minnesota every year!

I wish the west would take some notes for small resorts like this, like snow park one rope tow and just enough snow to make it work, so sick. And I cannot believe how fast that rope tow is! You should come ride the terrain park at eagle point this Saturday. It is a small resort in southern utah with one of the best terrain parks and th people who build the terrain park know how to send it

I started skinning the terrain park when i was like 8 or 7. Damn dude, i dont know how i didnt die there.

Minnesota is the flatlands. I went to trollhaugen in like 1988 I was 10. Highland in or around 1989. Spirit mountain , lutsen and afton alps all around early 1990s ish. Left for Oregon and mt hood a mile down road from windells when it was still called shamrock motel in 96 and never looked back. Now I’m in Alaska. Older you get the less you want to ride groomed ski resorts. Backcountry pow is life.

I know everyone there and stellan is in my snowboard group. Not to be a hater but I ride at Hyland, I’m 11, and I can 720, backflip, rodeo, cork, tamedog, and frontboard every rail there.
