Remember the scrutineering behind the theatre in place Jacobins. Nice it's in the town centre now, gives an opportunity to see the cars for locals not going to the race. Looking forward to this year's event, going over for 12 days, only missed 5 races since 1984, love my annual visit , it's a pilgrimage not a holiday I tell swmbo.😲🤣🤣🤣
@@paulreilly3904 haha I forgot that saying that brought back so many memories of old British cars and many hours either myself or giving up in despair at the auto electrician LOL who in the small town of Hawera in New Zealand where I live used to quote that whenever i turned up with my old triumph-He used to chant it like an old wizard : oh Lucas prince of darkness wherefore art thou ! how do I fix this jumble of wires?
Please, more of these old racing videos!
Fantastic. I have this on dvd and never tire of watching it.
These were real sports cars. Real racing !
This 24 hrs atLaMan was raced in the year I was born I watched these o the wide Word of Sports
Fantastic endorsement of Jaguar and Lotus reliability, and of course both marques equipped with Lucas electrics.
Those starts were so exciting!! Golden Age of Motor Racing.
That was the seventies. Every category had bangers that decade.
This is amazing! I hope you do more vintage racing like the Mille Miglia or early days of Formula 1! ❤
Would love to see as much Mille Miglia (and Targa Florio) footage as possible.
@@sergioleone3583 YES! I live about an hour away from Sebring Florida. Would love Targa and the 12 hours of Sebring.

Omg-it’s a testament to something or rather that any of them finished with Lucas electrics😂
Lucas, the Prince of darkness 😊

@@malcolmwhite6588 excellent. Thank you. Good to hear your memories. My very best wishes from the UK.
You too can be a Le Mans driver, just wear a casual golf/Polo shirt - all you then need is a D-Type! Oh how times have changed.
Who's this twizzly narrator?
Possibly a very young Neville Hay
Couldn't be more British.
