I don't have room for 0 gauge, I'm sorry to say. Last week, I went into crazy Model Steam Engine Alert mode, 00 gauge style. For £235, I bought the new Dapol 43xx Mogul (Great Western Green with BR number-plates) no. 7301, two Bachmann Manor engines, 7800 Torquay Manor and 7802 Bradley Manor, Hornby Tiny Terrier Tank Engine Leadenhall and Electrotren Tank Engine Molly, from Chester Model Shop. They were all tested and ran like a dream. The Dapol Mogul is far better than the Main Line Railways one from Bachmann, I'll happily admit. Before I bought the 5 steamies, I bought a Milk Float Van, a Chocolate & Cream Mk. 1 Restaurant Car (for Rood Ashton Hall's Shakespeare Express Train) and a pair of HAA Hopper Wagons. People do crazy things when they're in love with Dapol's 00 gauge GWR Mogul engine.
O Gauge is the cheapest of all the small scales: ua-cam.com/video/xmhDzLqt6KE/v-deo.html Loco for £35, wagons £12, short WB coach £20 all from card and paper. The operating area of an O Gauge layout will easily fit into 4 sq ft. Card chassis test: ua-cam.com/video/IfRjo-NQcZw/v-deo.html Cheers
It would definitely make a centrepiece under a tree thats for sure! If you've not quite got the room, check out the video for some great suggestions for smaller O gauge layouts.
We can always rely on Dave to give us ideas for spending our hard earned.

What do you use to connect the controller to O gauge track?
Wire.
Does any company make big steam locos in O gauge like A1 and A4?
Hattons/Heljan do a lovely A4!
Crickey that is a large Christmas tree with a 6 foot 8-inch diameter layout underneath, if only the majority of us had the room!

Dave was thinking of the tree outside 10 Downing St.
It would be great to see RTR 0 Gauge Andrew Barclay 0-4-0 from Hattons. Your 00 gauge one is a good model, now is time for 0 gauge, come on... ;-)
just a sales patter try showing a layout
Clickbait. What has any of this got to do with a small space?
