We used to pull back to back all-nighters in order to complete all 10 missions with 5 players. A couple mistakes on your game. 1st, when revealing force cards, the Legion figure can't spawn right next to a Doomtrooper. 2nd, the Nepharite has 3 actions and you only made it use 2 the last couple of turns. One thing you did that we never did was randomize the dark legion's turn with the corporations. We always did all Doomtrooper turns (randomly), then the Dark Legion had a turn. I think our games could have been much more interesting doing it your way. Looking at the rules, it appears your way is the right way and we been doing it wrong all these years! Great video!
It is a fun one, for sure! I have a hard time convicing my friends to play older games, but the solo D4 variant I came up with gives it so much more value.
Great video! Loved this game back in the day. I used to combine this along with Advanced Space Crusade and Space Hulk for a kind of home made mishmash of a game.
I still have my copy of the 1st edition...painted up all the minis too. I'll have to give your d4 AI a try. I hope that "Team America" commnet was a reference to Matt and Trey's movie...lol
I use to own this game, me and my friends use to play this all the time. Only we made some house rules, where the players could sabotage each other, even killing each other sometimes.
question because this has really affetced my solo playthrough, when you use 2 attack actions (or more even if you use say an extra action so 3 consecutive attacks) do the hits stack?! it normally doesnt matter, but im on a mission where ezoghoul appeared, i have no way of exceeding 3 damage, and my objective is to kill all legion guys on board. i read the rules as hits DO NOT stack between attacks, but it seems like if it is a consecutive action, it should. what is your thought?
Hits do not stack between actions, so if you have no way to possibly deal more than 3 damage, you can't kill the Ezoghoul. Sounds like one of the many cases of bad luck that this game can toss your way. If it was an event card that spawned the Ezoghoul, then that is some bad luck. If it was a force card, then go back and check that you were using the proper force cards for that mission. Or you might want to consider retrying the mission with different equipment or getting lucky with your doomtrooper cards. Or, just remove that event card and play again. It's more fun to get through this already brutally difficult game than to get dumped on by some bad luck. Thanks for watching!
@@GetTabled thanks man! Great vids! Also, if a reinforcement enters a zone with a face down force card, does that prompt the force card to be turned into play and units placed?
Hey I actually have never written down any of the rules, but it would be a good idea to share them on BGG. I will try to work on a rules write up. Thanks for watching.
Kind of comment necromancy here but I have to defend Cybertronic here. They are not corrupted and, in fact, utterly opposed to the Dark Legion as well as very corruption-proof due to...reasons that would be spoilers for those playing the RPG. ;)
If you played this mission playing two corporations instead of just one, does each corp need to get 20PP or is it 20 total for all Corps working together?
@@GetTabled That's what I was thinking. Thanks. Me and my friend tried it playing two corps against randomly generating Dark Legion player & using the optional rules on the back of the book for Force cards & reinforcements. We drew Exoghoul event card & forgot about our Corps special abilities & failed. It was out first proper play. We played Mishima & Imperial.

Yeah I did make a couple of mistakes, but hopefully nothing too game-breaking. Thanks for watching!
@@GetTabled We played hundreds of games and was still making mistakes. You did great!
This is really great. Blast of nostalgia, and surprisingly entertaining to watch. Thanks mate
Thanks for watching. I hope to get out more videos soon.
Very cool. Enjoyed watching this mission.
Funny, my Mordheim witch hunter leader is named Mitch Hunter. Took it from Doom Trooper game on Sega Genesis, didn't know it's a franchise until now
That is funny lol. Yeah Mutant Chronicles has quite a lot of stuff around it. Board games, minis, RPGs, video games etc.
Such great memories! I've two copies of this...I should blow the dust off :-)

I've got Space Crusade here on the shelf. I might come up with a solo variant for that. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for reading some of the flavor text and background. Always my favorite part of thematic board games. :)
Great way to get past the mechanics and get into the story!
There was a solo play rulebook in that version. it was either it's own book or in the back of the main book I forget.
Oh that's cool I will have to check it out! Thanks for watching.
Very cool. I like the use of the d4 in this. Good job on that last round there. Didn't think you'd make it lol
It was definitely a close call lol
Get Tabled I don't have a d4 but fortunately there's a bunch of apps that roll all kinds of dice for you. Can't wait to try out your method

America, F*** YEAH!

@@speedhead I do not think that enemies cause force cards to reveal themselves.
@@GetTabled thx man. We should play a match over a webcam in this quarantine
nice job mate, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Hi do you share the files and rules , i can't find them on BGG maybe i have overlooked it. Thx for the video's

I had this game as a young kid. Unfortunately it didn't survive into adulthood.
Ebay is a magical place!
My brother always liked to play the Capitals, I was a Baja guy myself.
Bauhaus is my favorite. Ranged killing machines.

Oooh good to know. I am not super well versed in Mutant Chronicles, but the board game is a good time!

Corps need to earn a combined total of 20.

@@Mind_of_MATT Yeah the game can be brutal sometimes. Chalk it up to that old school charm.
@@GetTabled Yeah, it was still fun & we are getting acquainted with the rules.
Most amazing and evocative cover art. Rivaled only by Heroquest.
So amazing. We need this style to come back.
