It’s true, Aldi has much better prices than other stores, even Walmart. Walmart food prices often times are higher than regular grocery store prices.

I have been an Aldi shopper since I lived in NY in 99, while I lived in Germany and still in Georgia, for over 25 years! They have been my goto Grocery store and I have access to military commissaries and I will still choose Aldi!

The high prices are absolutely because of corporate greed!!! The CEO's want bigger bonuses and want to show company growth so they increase the prices knowingly that consumers will blame it on inflation and the government.

inflation is caused by Govt overspending, corporate greed is a seperate issue but it doesnt cause crazy inflation it couldnt even put a dent into inflation... Look at US govt spending its out of control into TRILLIONS a year, where do you think that money comes from to pay for everything,? It comes from printing more USD

They keep saying that inflation has stalled but I don’t see that at all. I picked up a few groceries at my local Walmart this morning and I saw two items that actually had price increases since the last time I went shopping there. I think maybe the eggs were a little cheaper but not much. If there was an Aldi anywhere in this area I’d love to try shopping there. Maybe I could save a few dollars for once.

I shopped at Giant, Walmart, even Target....but yeah, I've bben going to Aldi and I'm SHOCKED at the drastic price difference. I got SO much for SO little. It was shocking. And the store wasn't that busy. I will absolutely be returning for meat, produce and when I'm on a budget.

I remember when Aldi arrived in my town in England back in the 90s. Things were ridiculously cheap. A multipack of potato chips was about 0.17. None of the products had barcodes and the cashiers memorized the price of everything in the store and typed it all into the register in just a few seconds.

Corporate greed! This guy managed to sidestep Michael's question completely! Of course these grocery stores are greedy... they're not losing any money by lowering prices... otherwise, they wouldn't be lowering them in the first place!

They can go very cheap like how red lobster went with the all you can eat shrimp, but that helped bankrupt them. Cant go to low on prices, gotta stay competative. Its just smart buisness 101.

Prices at Aldi represent a tremendous value. How low can food prices go where you still feel comfortable eating the all food you bought for next to nothing? Quality has a cost.

$2 chips at aldi's, avacados are like $1 less on mini's and last 1 mn. in store and do not rote if eaten in 4wks., dairy is great quality, veg., fruit, bread all cheap and all great quality, they also have fancier section with cheese and other salami and pico-more expensive-but not as much as others
Nuts are super cheap and great quantity and quality at Aldi, get $2 roasted big charge roasted peanuts
Cookies a lot like girl scouts and other indiv. sized package always great price
Chocolates are great quality at cheap price
We love their ribs-great price and quality
We also love one freezer middle section that is like 1 time offerings, meaning you see it 1 time and it seems to never or rarely come back-like new section we have had philly's, potatoe soup, and many other items we loved, chili, etc.
There brand ice cream not so much-cheap-but not creamy like Ben and Jerry's, this being said if you have younger kiddos they will eat the lower fat ice cream and probably be thrilled to have the $2 ice cream-if you have had better quality, then not so much
    We love Aldi's like 90%
the other 10% we cannot do all our shopping there-frozen dinners not so much and not so much on industrial items-but that is okay
we save a ton on other items
    Aldi's has saved us $1k's
They are super quick, efficient, helpful, great customer service always 100%
Store is always clean, pu, organized, staff always in professional mood, always helpful

The consumer is not stressed due to inflation; the consumer is stressed because the people that claim responsibility to know how to run the economy either don't know what they're doing, or they know EXACTLY what they're doing. Either of which is horrifying down to the very bedrock of our culture.
The general population is withheld beyond a certain point.

Aldi is not a food price leader anymore. I used to like shopping at small simple Aldi stores 20 years ago. Many private Aldi labels like cheeses were always inferior in taste to big brands, but they used to be very cheap, but now buying them at high prices is not a good idea.
