@AmyWarriorPrincess Their apartment was on the 53rd floor. The story is on Eric's website. If you Google the words "Eric Clapton's son Conor", his website should be the first site that shows up in the Google search.
The song was on the sound track of the movie "Rush", but it is about the death of his 4 year old son who tragically fell from the window of a New York high rise.
It’s nice to see you again here on UA-cam I love your reactions was hoping you’d come back. 😊 unfortunately he wrote this for his son and sang it so beautifully. It brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it as I lost my son too I feel his pain. Good to see you back!! 👍🏼
It is a fretless base. It has a really unique sound but there are no Fritz so you can slide and bend the sound more You can hear it in a lot of songs but another good one is New York Minute by Don Henley of the Eagles. It's a really cool sound
@@jessisanchez8150 I read he landed on the roof of a nearby ten story building. I actually found that comforting, because he wasn’t gawked at by people on the street and those people weren’t traumatized by seeing his body. Such a gut wrenching tragedy.
Christmas can be wa very bitter sweet time if your lo Ed one have gone to heaven then pray and think of them for those who are held in the hart of others never ever realy die
🌸 the video is really confusing sometimes because it shows bits to a movie I guess they must have used this song in that movie but it's not really about that. Eric Clapton's son at age 4 passed away and this is what the song is about
He was already contracted to write a song for the movie when Connor died. He eventually came up with this song, with the aid of a friend who helped him finish it. I really wish reactors would not use this particular video, but how are they to know?
@terri2494 yeah I totally understand about the reactor thing and I get it now that you've informed me about being contracted for the movie.... but every time I watch that particular video it kind of is weird you know it doesn't in my personal opinion and my personal heart give Connor that singular voice you know that I'm sure Clapton wanted. but appreciate you letting me know that. thank you so much
Love this song Eric Clapton sang for his son who passed away he was 4 years old God bless his soul.
I played this at my son’s funeral. He died in a house fire when he was 3.
Wow I’m so sorry to hear that!!❤️❤️❤️
I'm sure a lot of people are going to say this. Eric wrote this song for his little boy who passed away. He fell out of a 2 story window.
I think it was a lot higher than 2 stories.😢
He fell 53 floors
He fell from a window in a New York high rise, reportedly from the 53rd floor.
Some say 49 some say 53, either way it was not 2 stories

Had this payed at both my daughter’s and my son’s funeral. They passed 10 years apart to the day!
That’s heartbreaking! I hope you’re past the worst of the grief.
As an eric clapton fan this is one of my fav songs🎤🎸
