Sadly, if they met, this would have been the outcome. The older Deeda would have her grandkids take her back to the spot where they bought the painting by telling her grandkids $20 was too cheap for the painting (she knows who drew it). Then when she gets to the park, her long ex husband doesn't see her, but she walks up, brings out the RING and puts it in the tip jar. He hears the drop of the ring into the tip jar then looks up and see her, they exchanged a pleasant look at each other with sadness in their eyes, without saying a word, she turns around and her grandkids takes her by the hand, he looks down at the jar and sees the ring that he left her with when he took off all those years ago, he then looks at her as she and her grand kids are in the distance and she suddenly turns back one more time, they both exchange a sad smile and nods at each other acknowledging that they truly love each other but because of circumstances, they understand why and how they can no longer get back together. The older Deeda turns around and head off without looking back again, the long ex husband continues to watch as she walks away, he then puts the ring away and grabs a new empty canvas and starts a new painting. The end.
