Hi! yea been feeling the same! but by not experimenting you won't find new things that can also perform well or even better. It's a balance, just do what youre feeling at the time regardless. We're artists experimentation is what we do, especially as smaller channels. eventually people will just watch for you more than the type of content and enjoy your evolution as an artist. Easier said than done it's a struggle but you got this!

Money and art are such contradictions, but in order to keep making art, you have to make money. To make money in the art world, you have to be popular. True artists create art for themselves and those closest to them, but the fear of losing the ability to keep doing what you love leads to diluting and exploiting your art for the masses, therefore losing the passion before it's even taken. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. I'm convinced that artists are known for being so wrought with dysfunction because the quest to create (and keep creating) is in and of itself dysfunctional. Inspiration comes and goes in a blink; needs are constant. Emotions are always fluctuating; projects must continue unbroken. Artists are explorers of the most treacherous, changeable, and beautiful worlds, and yet, we're only human.
My sister's a professional artist, and I'm a writer who dabbles in visual art (not even comparable to your masterpieces), but every artist I've known seems to go through exactly what you have. We'll all probably go through waves of warring with ourselves and our perception of consumers for the rest of our lives. That's just it, though--our assumption of what others *really* want is so often wrong. In the end, I think people will find the love you feel while being true to your art and self, however erratic or imperfect, and love you for it.
That's what I keep telling myself, anyway. 🙂Thanks for the insightful video and striking art! Btw, apartment living verifiably sucks

That's it, you've said it perfectly! That's exactly how it is. And I've also started to believe that our assumptions of what others really want is often wrong xD It's kinda hard to find somewhat of a balance, especially cause, indeed, we are only humans and emotions fluctuate a lot! I appreciate your insight a lot! You've actually managed to lay out my point better than what I could in the video 😅 Thank you for your words ♥ and for sharing your personal experience!

@@artyreby Aw, you're too sweet. Everything you said resonated with me so much--all your videos do--so I had to second it! ❤Your voiceovers are always well-spoken and relevant and a huge bonus to your incredible art.

I was gonna say something stupid but reading the comments are making me think otherwise (I wouldn’t say I’d understand but the position ur in is most likely relatable to other small creators, ur art is amazing I have no words how to express it and I’m glad you were working on urself during the past months instead of forcing urself to continue drawing viral things 🫂🙏)
