Top work Gunther. I upgraded from LRT4 to LRT7 recently, it is great software. Just getting back into this after a few years off and your tutorials are really helpful. Thank you.
Awesome video, extremely helpful! One question about the new Lightroom AI denoise feature: do you think it is better to do a first passage in Lightroom to just denoise all the sequence and then start the workflow, to do it as a final step or something else?
I don't recommend using AI-Denoise with timelapses. See this faq for more information: forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-workflow-if-using-new-lightroom-ai-noise-reduction
New to timelapse photography and having put a short first one through the free trial I have just purchased a private license and your ebook. One quick question that arose during my free trial process , is there a facility to slow down the finished timelapse to give more of a slo mo effect annd if so how is that achieved ?
In the render dialog you have the option for slow down or speed up. But mind that the software cannot "invent" intermediate images, that means, the slower you make it, the less smooth it would be. It's always better to work with shorter intervals from the start (while shooting).
Hello, I downloaded LRT7 and watched your tutorial. I don't have any of the predefined filters you mentioned in the Keyframing Masks. Is this normal? Can I create my own masks in this case? The sky mask for example? Thanks for your help, Marie-Line
If the predefined masks don't appear in Lightroom after following the workflow, something is wrong. Please double check the step by step instructions on lrtworkflow lrtimelapse.com/workflow/visual-workflow/ If you have further questions, please come to my forum: forum.lrtimelapse.com
Hi. There is one more question, or rather a program proposal. On the render tab, we can enable frame blending, which gives a beautiful blur. This blur works beautifully with people and cars, but in the sky the clouds become too blurry. I suggest making it possible to apply a gradient mask for this filter there, so that you can limit or adjust the direction and place of exposure for this mixing... I think it would be useful for all of us. Anton
Thanks, Gunther! This a great program and a great tutorial. You explained everything so clearly. Have you considered adding a feature in the Render stage where you can create or import a custom text watermark or a studio's logo to the rendered timelapse, the way we can when exporting an image from Lightroom? Currently, I am doing that in FCP X, but being able to do it in LRTimelapse would make production more efficient.
Actually with LRT Pro there is an option to add a Watermark overlay to the exported video. However it's more intended to be for "Copyright" reasons when sending clips to customers before they have payed. It's test only, no logo or customizable fonts. I feel, if at all, something like that would be better done on the final edit in the video editing program.
It wouldn't make sense, but LRTimelapse generally exports the developed images into an intermediate folder (named LRT_*) which you can access, that images will be used for the video generation.
Hi! I edit my RAW images in DXO Photolab and export them as TIFF 16 bit, Rec. 2020 (Adobe free workflow) How does LRTimelapse 7 works with TIFF files? Thanks!
LRTimelapse doesn't support tifff, because this is not a good workflow. The ode of LRTimelapse is to do it's work before and together with the raw converter. This delivers the outstanding results. Preedited tiff files cannot be edited in the way lrtimelapse works.
i think Gunther is the Elon Musk of timelapse photography! Just think about how genius the exposure ramping and the overall control you have over the light is!
I feel honored, but I'd rather not be compared to Elon Musk - I hope I can create something good without losing my mind and wanting to throw the world into chaos...;-)
Maybe in the future. If you want to use a Mask, just use a circular one, track it with the milky way. Please come to the forum for further questions: forum.lrtimelapse.com
@@KenToney The most important when shooting the milky way is to use a fast lens. Best 1.4 or 1.8. Then you don't need any trick to tweak the milky way. It's beautiful as it is. Otherwise you can just do a little contrast enhancement on the radial mask, use very little (!) dehaze - but that should do it. 90% of all milky way shots are over processed and therefore a pain to look at. I will see if I can make a tutorial about that some day.
LRTimelapse shows a warning on every delete operation, that deletion will be permanent and asks you do confirm. Once files are deleted, they usually cannot be recovered.
Am I wrong or the workflow has a few significant changes compared to that of LRT 6? No DNGs, different folder structure requirements, different keyframe exporting to LRC…
No, it's very backward compatible. No major changes to the workflow itself, just simplifications. JPGs can be used directly (without converting them to DNG). The Restricted Folders are optional, they have been there in LRT6 already. Nothing changed with the keyframes.
👏🏼 LR timelapse is imo the most underrated yet amazing app. The work this guy has put in for years is not unnoticed, thank you so much
Thanks so much for your kind feeback, much appreciated!

Gunther, you are a genius in developing this program, also in explaining its use so it’s easy to understand!
You are very clever Gunther! Thank you so much for all your help and videos. I can see you have put a lot of time into this! Well worth the money!
Great work Gunther. I am happy user of LRT5 and I definitely upgrade it to LRT7. Thank you very much.
Really great video tutorial. Thank you very much
This looks fantastic. Thank you for this easy to understand and straightforward tutorial - excellent work!

Hi, I don’t have Lightroom, but I have Capture One. Will it work Capture One??
Thx for updating all those tutorial, it is interesting to watch different type of workflow

Hi. I need your advice. Is it possible to make HDR video bt2020 in the program without connecting Lightroom???
No, it isn't. You need Lightroom Classic for the true HDR editing.
Thanks, Gunther! This a great program and a great tutorial. You explained everything so clearly.

No luck with you, trying to watch your videos but internet not working with you.
To comment is working
Man, this is youtube. Either it works on your internet connection or not. There is nothing I can do about it.
