Padlet doesn't give you all the extras of Flip, but it does work. I also like that you can make it where people don't have to sign in to post. Having students only comment, keeps them from making alt posts or some kids creating posts and some comments. It just keeps it clean and organize. Thanks for sharing
THANK YOU so much!! I've used Flip for 3 years and I just realized they're going to shut it down!!! Padlet looks like a nice alternative for now. Thanks again!
Do all the student video responses come out in that video activity for students? Meaning that if I ask students to respond individually to what they did this summer, will all their video responses, all 67 student videos be in one area?
This is only a little useful - buy I knew how to use Padlet basics - can students create videos with images within their vid screen? I've heard videos can only be 2 minutes. Not good enough. Can Padlet handle 50 students? Many questions!
Unlimited people can post to a Padlet. Correct, free Padlet accts have 2 min limit. As for "can students create videos with images within their vid screen?", please clarify a little and I'll try to answer.
@@brianbuffingtonworld It is part of Teams, and only under the Assignment feature - and peers cannot see each other's work - at least I have not figured out how! If you do, please let me know!
They have rebranded. It's not behind a paywall but it has lost the interactive features. Students can send videos to an instructor but they cannot screen record and they cannot see the videos of other students and reply to them interactively. Sad day.
Thanks for taking the time to make this. I'm an English teacher in Tokyo, desperate for a Flip alternative. Have an awesome day!
@@DanFerreira_edtech glad it helped! Thanks for tuning in.
Hi, Dan. Long time, no see! I didn't expect to bump into you or anyone ever--in a UA-cam comments section.
@@nakijin I'm glad Buff Nuggets can bring people together.

Thanks for watching! I’m glad I could help.
Thanks Brian for a near-perfect workaround!
Glad I could help! BB
Great video. I've used Flip for the longest time and was very sad to see it go. This looks like it will be a very useful alternative to flip. Thanks.
Yep! Have fun and thanks for watching my videos.
Super helpful, thank you!

Yes, it's like a "feed" where added videos are all on the same page. The "Grid" display option works well for this.
Thank you!
You are welcome! Thanks for the love!
Thanks for your video. Where can I find out what happened to Flip?
Here’s the article static.flip.com/email-assets/Flip-June2024-email.pdf
In Padlet, can students record their screens to give a presentation? Thank you!
They can, but Padlet requires a free Chrome extension for this feature. padlet.help/l/en/article/j89ma9lptf-screencast
How many students can post?
Thanks for watching Mrs. Dasilva. Unlimited posts per Padlet. Free accounts can have 3 live Padlets, simultaneously.

I assume Microsoft is rebranding flip. So We should have an alternative soon
From what I can tell, Microsoft will be placing Flip features in its suite, behind a paywall.
