Mossberg MC1sc Review & Range Time
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 сер 2024
- Mossberg has released their first handgun offering in 100 years, the MC1sc in 9mm! We go over the features and shoot it in the range. If you like what you see you can purchase one on our KyGunCo website!
We ran test of this gun at our local gun. It was a huge hit. Mossberg obviously did a ton of research during development. We all had much better accuracy and handling when we compared to other guns especially the Glock 43 and 43x. Everyone love the way the striker was so easy to remove and clean. Felt great in the hand. Like the way they rounded off the trigger guard. No more finger blister like the Glocks are so well known for or the knuckle banging. Just a downright smooth shooter. Bravo to Mossberg on this fine Pistol.
Refreshing to see a new pistol introduced!
PSA HAS HAD THEM AT THAT PRICE FOR AWHILE NOW , the shield 40 with night sights is only 279
Timothy Mckee wtf
I love how you support the local guy 👍 i f you got a local guy buy from them if not then buy from us 👍
I was also very impressed with that statement of l g s . I do support mine and I sometimes, but not always, pay a little more for a gun than I could order it online. And made a few friends along the way.
Class act to say that 😀
I would say that he is a very honest businessman. Nowadays, it is difficult to find somebody like him.
I want one but not available yet.
Now I can tell people I carry a mossberg, they gon be like damn son, I can't even tell. Is it going down your leg?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
That's funny! I have two images in my mind from this. Jack Nicholson's Joker pulling that ridiculously long revolver out to shoot down Batman, and Cleavon Little in Blazing Saddles saying, "Pardon me while whip this out." Still laughing. :D
Lmao!! I was thinking the same thing
"Thats not my gun"
Awesome, big Mossberg fan already. Can't wait until they're available. Great vid also.
As long as its reliable I'll pick one up to add to the collection. Always been a supporter of Mossberg.
Well done review/video. The the that impressed me the most was your promoting the local gun stores. You're pretty good with shooting these smaller pistols, better than most that I have seen at the range. I will be watching and reading other reviews on the Mossberg 9mm and will probably purchase one after they have been out at least a few months.
I'm excited to try this bad boy out, especially MSRP $350 you can't beat that from Mossberg!!!
Smith and wesson shield, 250 from palmetto state armory, free shipping.
Very competitive price. That means we will see it for around $300 easy.
250 in Colorado
The MSRP on the Mossberg website is $425. Patrick is guessing at real pricing.
@Keith Bardwell except the mossberg will probably last longer with out changing springs of what not
So I get Kentucky Gun Co. newsletters. Because of your willingness to advocate
for our local gun stores, and great reviews I will subscribe and look forward to
seeing what products you have in the newsletter I may need. Thanks.
This definitely fills a need that has yet to be addressed. There are so few 9mm subcompact handguns on the market to choose from. Thank God for Mossberg.
As a HUGE Mossberg fan, I will definitely have to buy one of these from my local FFL
Thanks for the preview. Looks like a nice gun! Excellent camera you have there, btw. Amazing resolution!
great video, you guys are great too bought my thompson center 30-06 from you all, when you have a sale you guys really have a sale! thanks for your service and low prices
I have carried a S&W Shield for 6 years now, this is the first sub compact that has really got my attention. Who knows I might pick one up. Very good video on the Mossberg MC1.
Love the 4 barrel pistol lovely workmanship on the older mossberg
Interesting little pistol.I like the clear mags. KyGu Co IS my local gun shop. The range is very nice.
I like the looks & features of this New Gun, especially at the price point I am hearing. I am curious about the cross bolt safety option, if that would be good or bad or awkward to use, etc.. Seems like Mossburg has done their homework on this. Appreciate the video. Keep up great work!
Really excited that Mossberg has gotten into the pistol business. Their guns are always reliable and never over priced.
Great to see Mossberg producing a handgun..I've always felt Mossberg offers great value and quality for the money. Will have to check out one of these soon at a local retailer.
That MC1 is Sweet!
Well done Mossberg!
thanks for the video. I love how basic field strip includes actually taking the firing pin out of the channel. I know it's not a hard thing to do but how many of us actually do it for regular cleaning? Many don't therefore many have no idea if their firing pins are cracked or wearing do to shooting budget steel cased ammo and even more of an issue for striker fired weapons is the sludge that can build up in the hollow area and the spring on the firing pin. It gunks up and can cause reliability issue's even when you use "dry solvents". This firearm is actually a big deal. I hope they slap all the other big name's in the face with this gem.
budget steel cased ammo ??? the primer is what the pin hits and its not steel, even on steel case ammo
Big Sean247 took the words out of my.mouth..was just about to type...what the hell is this dude taking about 😂😂
I like the ease of taking out the firing pin out too, and with the normal field strip.
love this mans honesty
The exact size comparisons I've been looking for, thanks and great video!!!!
I appreciate the honest review, I really like this gun.
I bought a mc1 about a week ago and I love it.
I’m interested due to the price and manufacturer. But I really want to see some range tests. But Mossy has my attention.
Nice looking gun. Really kicks that brass out.
I have always liked Mossberg , I'll be more than willing to give one a shot !!!
Thanks for sharing! Good for Mossberg. I like not having to release the trigger to disassemble.
Kudos to Mossberg !
I saw this on your site,by the time I put in my cart it was sold out .I was slow that day I have purchased a few pistols from your store good service and fast shipping .
Any gun that will take Glock mags will sell good!!
should have taken p365 mags, then it would sell amazing, not good.
So it should take the 12rd ETS 43 mags then shouldnt it?
When did Glock mags take over?
@@mattcannon6148 just a fanboy meme
How do you feel about the nano compared to this. The only negative I see about the nano is the plastic fire pin. However for $13 you can purchase a stainless one on line. But overall what do think.
I'm originally from Louisville and have nieces and a nephew in Hodgenville. Guess I'll have to visit you next time I'm up there on vacation. Liked the video and the gun.
Looks good I might buy one
Good review thanks
Very well done. For that price I would not hesitate, especially watching that striker come out during break down which was totally amazing. I could take it down and put it back together multiple times a day smiling all the while, but MA won't allow 'em in the state. I don't know, sometimes it's hard to figure.
First and foremost. You are a gentlemen. You didnt try to sell yourself. Then said support your local gun guy. First thing i seen was the casings hitting the same spot. I like the gun and the glock mags are a plus. I think you got to much finger on the trigger. Your shooting left. I like it. I just got a ppqm2 . Great trigger. I really think i will look close at this 9mm. Thanks for the video.
Yea one day I'll get one looks great
Glocksberg....with Sig sights...actually a good idea for concealed carry!
Ejection pattern is so consistent, you can tell which ones are going to be higher, lower, and grouped. Pretty cool.
Would love to try one, by watching how it was ejecting I would say that it is very consistent as they claim
Great demo, thanks
Better looking then remingtons plastic line.my opinion
Alway better than Remington
I LIKE this guy. Personable and a good businessman. The Mossy looks real interesting. I was shocked at the low prices of some of these concealed carry pistols, might haveta buy one.
I own one and it's a great gun. Slim, good power, easy to conceal. takes NO longer to disassemble and clean than ANY pistol.
great slim, powerful, easy to shoot, pistol.
👍I've got a bunch of Mossy's. Shotguns,308,556. Never a prob even though they r cosidered budget guns. Great customer care also. My 556 is prob the most accurate. I sold my Rem 700 556. Just like the Mossy more. These r bolt action rifles. My semi's r SW n Sig. I'll stand by Mossberg any day. Don't need another 9mm but that can change. That's just me. Great video, ✌🇺🇸🇺🇸
Considering some of the yahoos I've seen shoot 2 foot groups at 10 feet with $1000+ pistols, I'd say you and that little Mossberg do well together.
Mossenburg shotgun has always been a favorite of mine, so i'm willing to purchase the handgun, i like the look of it and the price is good. But first i'm purchasing the Mossenburg Shockwave i love the way it looks and fires.
Made me laugh when he said he wasn't so accurate at the range and he pulls in the second series of shots and there's TWO BULLSEYES! LOL. Great video. Bought myself one recently. Now I know more about it!
Love Mossberg weapons will have one of these as soon as I see it.
I'm a new sub. And here is why, You said support your local gun guy. If we don't support local they close. Thank you for that, that beimg said he told me he would not be getting these. In will buy from you my NEW friend.
Good video, good pistol - and those groups were fine, seven yards new pistol....yeah!
Great review I can’t wait to get one
I think I like it. Love their shotguns and have never had any issues with them. Why not?
Interesting to jump in with so many doing single stacked SC pistols so well. Smart move making it compatible with Glock mags and Sig sights.
Just got mine yesterday!
This video is 3 years old at the time I am making this comment. Mossberg has replaced this excellent pistol with their MC2Sc double stack version.
I have a MC1SC which I bought when they first came out, it is reliable and fun to shoot. I bought a Glock 43 magazine for it and put a Vickers +2 extension on it & put Talon grip material on the extension. The pistol with that mag feels great in my hand and has a 9 round capacity.
I still see MC1SCs on dealers' shelves, you may be able to get one at a good price. I highly recommend them. I'm content with 9 rounds.
Excellent. Thanks for the video.
Great review. Respectfully, I recommend viewers first make sure a handgun is unloaded before passing your hand over the bore as this gentleman did with both handguns. Oddly, the reviewer put his hand over the bore as he was 'checking it for safety' though I bet he checked both guns before videotaping began. I am a proud Mossberg owner and in 40 years have not had a failure of any type; not even one jam.
Thanks for showing how to disassemble it
I really like the look of this cant wait to shoot it
Very nice little gun!
Well that's a very interesting and unique take down.
I have not personally seen this pistol yet. But a friend handled one at a buying show (owns a fairly large line of guns at his store) said it felt cheap. Imagine that. I’ve owned 2 Mossberg shotguns both BIG disappointments. Ejection issues, manual safety issues, firing pin issues. Especially after a little long term use. This was quite a few years ago so I thought maybe their quality control has gotten better. Then my friends got one of their rifles 3006 Still seemed cheap and shoty. Best group we could get was about 4-5” at 100 yards with 3 different ammos. Maybe this new pistol is a change for Mossberg but my 2 cents is save your $ and invest in a quality shotgun, rifle or pistol.
Thanks for the review & introduction. I like it.
Would have preferred a steel trigger but like 'they' say choosers can't be beggy.
I be loving my Glocks but this Mossberg surely looks to be a frontrunner for dethroning Glock in the subcompact field.
Mossberg is "the Working Man's" gun manufacturer and darned if I don't wish I had a "need" for another shotgun because one of their 500 Series would most assuredly be taking up residence in my gun safe. The same thing kinda, sorta, mebbe can be said for this diminutive 9mm Boolit Launcher as well. That said, I don't have any problems in being CCW with my G17 and if need be I can swap out for my G27 should the need or desire become an issue.
But I digress.
I need to mosey down to my LGS and hold one of these critters for myself.
Who knows? It just might be adopted and come home with me.
Thank you for your efforts in producing this video. It was very informative without any hard-sell tactics.
Take Care, be Safe and God Bless.
Nice! Thx for the review.
They had me at the DLC over stainless slide. I just bought a Glock 43 to replace my Kahr PM9 and was missing the DLC over stainless for back pocket carry. The Glock mag is a nice compatibility feature and was genius marketing. I wonder how long until Crimson Trace makes a green laser for this.
it comes with a viridian for $514 msrp so it could b had round 380-400 if u look for awhile.
Nice! I can't wait to try one out.
Very Interested in this. The ejection looks really strong as well.
Cool gun and honest, straight forward, review! Are you the same guys that used to advertise as KY Guns on Shotgun News and Gun List years ago?
Is the guide rod 100% steel or a hybrid like on the gen4 Glock, got some steel parts but the center rod is still plastic? Thanks!
Oh- and great presentation!
Just like Mickey says, me likey!!! Way 2 go Mossberg!!! And the MSRP is sweet!!
i love the easy removal of the stricker. kind of a pain to check on the one in my current EDC.
Any possibility the back plate that holds the striker fire pin and spring may fall out?
Great Honor 4 me 2 be 1st like &post!-as a DAV My only shotgun is a 70 something M500 & Trust it always. Hope U or M/berg have a contest 4 some of these handguns. Be perfect 4 Vets-DAV's etc rite size weight & ease of use also. The Big Plus+ is Mossberg quality also. A Win-Win 4 all who can afford one ATB @019 Also 2U&M/berg
Great video, thank you! Would you please do G48 and G43X reviews?
Very nice in thorough review.. I think they may have a winner here... I am curious to find out more about the takedown procedure... I understand removing the striker will let the slide come right off because there is no interference with the Sear,, what I don't understand is every other gun has some sort of a cross pin ahead of the barrel lug which keeps the slide and Barrel fixed and it's forward position.. I don't see any sort of mechanism here like that and can't imagine how just the rear plate and Striker keeps the whole slide and Barrel from moving forward Beyond where it should be when it's in battery
glock dont just 2 tabs along with a lot of others with just 2 tabs taurus my px4 none of those have a cross pin in them
@@bigsean2473 okay the Glock and some Taurus and a few others yes they have the two tabs that you pull down on but between those two tabs is a crossbar which hooks up with the barrel lug
what keeps that small back plate from falling off while shooting looks like it came off very easy?
Great review.
What a great looking pistol! I hope it is not riddled with problems.
Would go a long way with customers to release an independent torture test with 5 random samples and firing a few thousand rounds through them.
Is it normal for the barrel to have a little movement with the slide forward? Never had this with other pistols
you do good videos. thanks.
Well, it looks good ‼️👍👍
How reliable and is it easy to rack?
Excellent...thank you!
Like the comparison to the ruger. Curious if it fits in same holster.
AWESOME
Nice video. Well done.
Could you please measure the trigger pull weight using a scale and also the slide spring weight?
Shield is really strong on spring for many people.
Thank you
wow, that thing seems pretty solid. kinda want one.
where can I buy range targets like that?
Cool take down procedure. I like the flat trigger. Taking glock 43 mags is a smart design feature. Nice forward slide serrations.
I do like the look of it. Hope to see it soon at my LGS. Wont replace my 365 though. But I may get 1 for my vehicle since the price isnt bad.
And it's a Mossberg, they are known to be very dependable & reliable but we shall see!! I'm rooting for this pistol to be a success especially for the price!!!
@@MikeMikeActual now I'm going to have to buy a mossberg brownie.
I need to check this out !
I'm looking for a subcompact that will fit in my leather motorcycling vest better than my G19. I'm going to have to give this 9mm a serious look.
This is great mosberg is my favorite gun.
Good looking laser unit , good looking gun
Love the takedown 🇺🇸❤️🍸
Nice
I'll buy one after a few months, in case of any bugs. I like the easy to remove striker for cleaning, and the dlc coating. Since I already have a g43, mags can be swapped between the two!
