Priestly Ordination of First Wancho Priests Deacons Simon Pansa & William Wangsu at Longding.: A.P

  • Wancho's are the tribal people inhabited in the hill district of Longding, Arunachal Pradesh, India. They have a population of around 35, 000 people. They are ethnically related to Konyak Of the Mon district of Nagaland and Nocte in the Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh.
    Rev. Fr. Samjon Simon Pansa and Rev. Fr. William Wangsu were the first Wancho tribe to be Ordained as priests in the Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh. Rev. Fr. Samjon Simon Pansa belongs to Ngissa Parish and Rev. Fr. William Wangsu belongs to Khanubari Parish. Both of them are of the Diocese of Miao in Arunachal Pradesh. They were ordained together on 7th January, 2024 at Longding local ground. Prayerful wishes to both of them for their fruithful ministry in the Vineyard of the Lord. Big congratulations to both of them.
