- This is a "moment's description" in live pictures when His Majesty The King inspects his Guard in 2017 at Husby Camp in Oslo, also called the Gardeleiren.
During this year's inspection, Private 1st class Siri Karine Borge Thøgersen was awarded the Garden Watch for being the best guardsman of the year. She is the first woman to get the clock dedicated to conscripts who have excelled the best in service.
In addition, the King shared General Leif Schanche's Honors - a Saber - to Lieutenant Even Husby, Commander of the 1st Guard company.
"The Moment's description" is an easily edited version of the event.
From the Kingdom of Britain to the Kingdom of Norway it was very enjoyable to watch His Majesty The King inspects his Guard at Husby Camp Oslo, being a British Monarchist I always find it pleasurable to see such ceremony's take place in other Kingdoms
What happened to the Guard at 17:58 who crouches down during the Royal Anthem? (2nd division from the right, 5th rank, front row) I'm guessing this is an anti-fainting drill, to keep the blood flow going?
You are probably right
It's probably to not faint
Yes, I was actually standing a couple rows behind him to the left lol... but yeah its like you said to get the blood flowing and prevent fainting
I see the danes where there aswel. Any reason for that?
Ehm, så mine øyne riktig her??!
@@sejek1995 hahaha herregud! 😂
Må si det blir litt dumt, oss nordere imellom liksom. 🤦♂️
Were those Danish Royal Guards I saw?
Yes.
no
@@Brandstorps Stop being wrong
What is the history of the very unique hats worn by the Norwegian Royal Guard?
The hat of the Italian Bersaglieri troops a regiment that so impressed the Swedish princess Louise (the great grandmother of King Harald V) that she insisted the Norwegian guards be similarly hatted in 1860.
Very similar to British drill. Smart and uncomplicated. Nice to see.
Nydelig utført musikktropp!
7 000 of all norwegain military is a part of this group. The norwegian military has 34.000 soliders and this is 7.000 of them.
That’s not true. It’s 1 200
The Royal Danish lifeguard are represented here but the Sweden do not send their Guards to do the same , any reason for this ?
The Treaty of Kiel of 14 January 1814 stipulated that the King of Denmark-Norway transferred the Kingdom of Norway to the King of Sweden and his successors. The constitution of 17 May 1814 ended six months of Norwegian efforts to defy this transfer of the throne and declare Norwegian independence. The original May 17 constitution was in effect only six months after its adoption. Sweden did not accept Norway's new Constitution or the election of Christian Frederik as king. At the end of July 1814, Swedish troops attacked Norway to assert the provisions of the Kiel Treaty. Norway was forced to enter into a ceasefire agreement on 14 August 1814 in the Moss - Moss Convention. In line with the Moss Convention, an extraordinary Storting was elected, which convened on 7 October 1814, and which on 4 November 1814 adopted a revised constitution.
The 3 Guards travel to each other from time to time to exchange experiences and beers. Usually the visits to Norway is at the time of the inspection so the danes and swedes get to take part in this too.
13:30 ? Noen som vet hva som spilles ?
Gaelforce, Peter Graham.
Was this only a rehearsal? I wounder why the king was present and because of the place, isn´t there a better place to do a parade for the king?
It was not a rehearsal
Auditenova Gradradbacher The king comes to the guard camp, on their own training yard. Made for practicality, not formality ;)
He's inspecting his own guard in their camp. It's not a parade per se.
Congratulations young lady!
Now, if only they had fielded such an impressive sight back in 1940, the Germans would never have dared "invade" them with a Military Band.
the king would have much likely been captured if it wasn't for these guards, the german soldiers named them die schwarzen Teufel
17:59 I think norway should use something instead of the anthem that was used by france the uk liechtenstein germany russia and and a bunch of other countries
That's not our national anthem. It is the royal anthem which is a salute to the King. Our national anthem is "Ja vi elsker dette landet" It's on youtube of course.
Well, the King of Norway is in the line of succession to the British throne...
Lack of imagination really!!!
@@musicologo1able Or just standard honors to the royals as it has been done for several hundred years.
its like the internationale for monarchist

Når vår Konge sier "god dag gardister", hva svarer gardistene?
"God dag vår Konge!"
I need to know.:s
god dag vår herre konge
God dag, herre konge
God dag, Herre Konge.
- Hilsen en som var gardist i 2014.

@Boone Kellen Mor di!
@4:43 - those epaulets remind me of Carol Burnett’s Gone With The Wind skit. 🤣🤣🤣
I have 20,000 Men that Are Now Musketeers that Are willing to Protect the king
The only soldiers that can do proper ceremonial drill in all of Europe !
Noen spilleglade gardister her ? ;) hihi ;) Saksofonister ? ;) :P søtt :D :D :D
There's one thing, and this goes for every military unit on the planet earth: Dig a huge pit, throw every damn bugle into it and fill the pit with concrete. No two persons in the history of military troops have ever managed to play the bugle in unison. It's time to let it go...
They should have cleaned the concrete
Wow! Even the same national anthem as the British one. I didn't know that.
It's not Norway's national anthem. It's the royal anthem.
노르웨이군인가? 한국군과 제식이 좀 다르군요.
Special branch of the military, it’s His Majesty The King’s guard
