Great car with a great driver! Have to consider Johnny disadvantages: - a lot of extra weight from passenger on board (guessing an easy + 75kg) - AC was ON, which for serious race driver will effect speed/ the lap times!
Archie, just want to say thank you for the video content this year. Looking forward to 2024 and hopefully do a bit of racing the GT4RS sounds incredible
Agreed on most cars but by gt4 rs standards it 🤣 I just can’t see how they’ve managed to find a more aero dynamically efficient location to put the spoiler mounts than Porsche did🤔 really struggle to believe that!
That was insane footage, thanks 😍! I loved when it was close between the 2 at Blanchimont, I guess its such a good feeling irl. Also it would be so nice to put slick tires on these cars to see how much time they gain, which would be mainly in late braking and mid corners speed.
Finally a decent track upload. That 4RS had an extra 80kg in it too. Archie looked ill at the end. Last time I took my mate out in my 4, he, after about 6 laps ended up sick!! It is hard work being a passenger.
Happy new year to you all archie mate and the family.hope you all have a great 2024.you will always have my full support 100%here's to more awesome videos and content.and all the best with your racing.from Dan.m 👍👍🚘🚘
Fast times around Spa are sub 2:30. GT3 Cup cars in qualifying will do around 2:20, Kevin Estre has gone round in around 2.17, but he's next level. 2.33 in a GT4 RS, with CUP2R is a decent time. The reality is all the ~ 500HP Porsche GT Div road cars on Cup2R deliver very similar performance but in slightly different ways - despite all the marketing the difference between a 718 GT4 RS, 991.2 GT3 RS, 992 GT3 and 992 GT3 RS comes down to the driver and tires. There is no magic sauce if you can't drive a good friction circle you're not a fast driver.
Top video Archie. Where does your driver rank compared to your driving? You’re quick, but how much quicker is he compared to you in terms of lap times?
Wow what a lap! Im surprised your allowed to do laps with bare arms and legs. At Castle Combe marshals demand arms n legs are covered ( in case of flying glass).
Archie Hamilton Racing Absolutely Video I think Johnny is an Absolutely Incredible Driver and I think his 718 Cayman GT4RS is equally incredible and I hope you get a chance to be in a 992 911 GT3RS with a Great Driver and Happy Belated New Year to you your family and all of your Subscribers
I am going for my first trackday on Spa In a 996 GT3 - just wondering is it okay to drive like this on a trackday or is it In a special event? As you say the GT3 takes a lot of risk.
1:35 Can't imagine a stock 4RS would be slower than a bone stock 991.2 GT3 with a manual box so it should be able to do 2:36 at least on cup2 probably 35's. So 33 on Cup 2R and a clear track which you struggle to get on a track day obviously. My white GT3 with number 44 had a cameo at the beginning :D
Like we talked about on the day, high 31’s without traffic and with new tyres maybe high 30’s which when you consider the pace of a 992 3RS around there it’s not slow. We’re at Spa for 6 days next year so let’s have a run together, would be fun 🏁😀
@@JCRDevelopments 992 has way too much wing for Spa :D Just talking about a stock 4RS, you and yours should be quicker. Was great meeting you, not sure I'll do any RMA days next year was a bit disappointed with the still heavy traffic for the price of the day, Spa is just a nightmare track finding space when pushing a quick car. The Ring is way easier somehow despite being nearly 3 times the length. Will try the Javelin days early April, 2 days for 600 quid. Was all right last year especially second part of day two the field was getting thinner.
Agree, hopefully less traffic at the days next year. Got some clear ish laps but the little battles here and there are always a lot of fun. Hope to catch up at some point again next year 🙌🏼
@@JCRDevelopments Absolutely, had a great fun scrap with a 992RS that day too, still have some video of that somewhere to post later. They really are slow on the straights but what a weapon in the medium/high speed. Meet great people that way too, the British invariably come up for a chat afterwards which is definitely not how others sometimes react lol

All great fun, it’s a track day after all 😎
Archie, just want to say thank you for the video content this year. Looking forward to 2024 and hopefully do a bit of racing the GT4RS sounds incredible
This is great and all, but not sure an exhaust and moving the rear wing should really be considered "heavily, heavily modified" 😐
Agreed on most cars but by gt4 rs standards it 🤣 I just can’t see how they’ve managed to find a more aero dynamically efficient location to put the spoiler mounts than Porsche did🤔 really struggle to believe that!
@@chadvehiclesourcing9696Dundon in the USA did and with suspension and set up made the 4rs considerably quicker
@@chadvehiclesourcing9696we’ve addressed those questions in our blog where we discuss the release of the parts. You might find it interesting :)

Brilliant video Archie.Hats off to the guy in the gt3,he made a great driver like Johnny really work.Insane footage & great to watch.

Interesting :)
Wow! That was exciting! That things a beast! Happy New Year Archie keep the great videos rolling in during '24
Nice, GT3 makes more power though. Both cars amazing. Brilliant video.
I really enjoyed this video. Love this type of content.
992 was quicker! Nice dice👌
Yes Johnny is back 😂😂
Brilliant, even my palms where getting sweaty just watching
This was a good one! Can’t wait to see what you’re racing next year.
That's one of the best things I've ever seen!
What a car and what an engine sound ❤
Brilliant! That is exactly what that car was made for. Very jealous.
That was close for comfort 😮
That 992 bombing in front of the 991 right on turn in at turn 7 😆😆 Holy moly
That was a great battle, I loved it, excellent video.
First lap looked like around 2 min 45s? Would love to see the 12 second a lap quicker video...
Quality driving 👍🏻😎
Fantastic video! What a driver too!
Absolutely love these videos keep it up
Can you do more vids with Jonny, they are my favourites, thanks
Archie's in the chase was a picture he was totally bricking it lol

Mate, quality bit of driving. Built up the momentum through the slower traffic and got the jump on him… experience makes the difference 😉
That was epic!! Loved it😁👍
Amazing content Archie keep them coming in 2024 maybe next year you will be a calmer passenger 😂
Archie you’re a CHARACTER 🤣😂🤣😂😅
Shoutout to Johnny 🔥🔥🔥
Great video 🤌🏽
Happy New Year Everyone 🥳🥂
What are trick bit modifications 😇
Awesome video. Was the GT3 2 up as was hard to tell when you went past?
Driver only
What time is the close call? 🙏

Like being a back seat passenger.
That was intense
wow wow Epic to watch !!!!!!
The only way you would know for sure is to let Jonny loose in a GT3. He would know how to set it up properly.
That was good😊
Gt3 or gt4 rs dream cars master class of engineering 👌
One word, driver!
Johnnie can drive 💯
Didn't "GET HIM" dude on GT3 was screwed by the VW in front
Personally if there were not so much commenting I think it would be a better video
Flipping mega 🙏
GT4RS is just epic!
wow that was like a battle of Britain dog fight
GT3 seemed faster
He was until the part where we overtook him and pulled a 5 second gap in 5 corners 😂
common as muck 911's
Great content . Anyone who doesn’t like this stuff is a mug.
I don't know who the other driver was but he definitely wasn't shmee 😂😂😂
That N/A engine from 8600 rpm is absolutely mental. Real eargasm
