This wofti is underrated in my eyes, it reminds me of old smg4 while adding the new stuff in interesting ways. I wish this one got more recognition.
I think it's because this WOTFI was sandwiched between the masterpiece that was the anime arc and the amazing UA-cam arc, and was also not connected to any story arcs like every other future WOTFI. Because of that, I can understand why it was forgotten pretty quickly.

This is probably my favorite WOTFI. Many challenges get a chuckle out of me, the mid-challenge segments are really slick, and it has pretty low stakes compared to the (now standard) arc WOTFIs. (I don't hate arcs, I just don't tend to like it as much when WOTFIs are tied to them.) This one checks all of the boxes for me! :)

Fun fact: This WOTFI was so underrated that, until 2021 or so, I didn't know of it's existance. I only found out about it after looking at the WOTFI playlist. Until then, I didn't know it existed, and thought they just skipped the year.

@@anson7064 Definitely not me. WOTFI's were always meant to be a "Playful 1v1 Fan vote on who won." Not some "Final challenge over a serious and dramatic moment" that the newer wotfi's did. It was all fan voted and now it just becomes very predictable of who wins nowadays and loses it's charm as what it was initially.
Even WOTFI 2018, still kept the core idea of it being a battle between the two, it wasn't waluigi manipulating one person, it was them fighting in multiple trials and thats it. Only having Waluigi as the end for a rap.

- Tari is apparently a reality warper (Though it's not like we didn't know from the start anways *hint hint)*
- Master Hand is somehow still alive even after the torturous beatdown Sans gave him, making him the SMG4 character to have suffered the most
- Meggy despises people who try to do impressions of her
- Saiko is into violent games… *I W O N D E R W H Y*
- Axol is an expert at drawing
- X is getting tired of being the WOTFI host
- Steve is still Steve
- This year's WOTFI was great just like the other ones before this

To everyone complaining that Wotfi’s got a new style now (being the end of arcs), Content and peoples ideas change. Wotfi’s are still in the same formant, someone vs someone doing a challenge. It’s still funny and cool. Just with more storytelling and lore. Generally, i think too many people complain about newer Smg4, the designs, it being unfunny, blah blah blah. I think it’s a bit unfair. Smg4 is still Smg4 and for the designs, i’m pretty sure he HAD to change them. Nintendo actually tried sue’ing him.
