Another one to add to the list of retired bus videos, the Orion VII CNG fleet from WMATA. I don't have too many videos of these buses, so I was able to use what I have for this compilation.
This combination of 30ft & 40ft Orion VII CNGs have operated in Washington DC for about 15 years, with the 40ft buses retiring between 2018 & 2020, and the 30ft buses retiring between 2020 and 2021. The 40ft buses have been used on both express & local routes, while the 30fters have been used mostly on lesser-used routes, and would sometimes show up on bigger, heavier routes.
Here's a compilation of Orion VII CNGs that I've gotten videos of between 2017 and 2019. I would've loved to have gotten more videos of these, but the pandemic happened and a bunch of these were sidelined because of it.
I hope you guys enjoy the video, subscribe & stay tuned for more!!
I grew up seeing these buses often in Northern Virginia, much more than the New Flyer C40LFs.
CNG was the best
I grew up in the NW area of DC and I used to see these A LOT😂
RIP
R.I.P orion vii buses!!!!😭😭😭😭
Very nice video and Shepherdpkwyshuttle is right, 3032-3035 are training buses for wmata. I got videos of them running around leaving or entering the training course.
Do you have any footage of WMATA NF C40LFs?
Unfortunately, I do not. I do have videos of the C40LFRs, but not many.
Let me guess. Tank expiration?
4 of the 30fts are training vehicles now.
Ah, that's good to hear.
