Just to make sure you grasp the full meaning behind the song: the title itself is a combination of Scottish slang for ladies' (fanny) and gentlemen's (baws) genitalia and any gentleman in possession of a "boaby two feet long" would be worth an entry in the Guinness Book of Records - if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
"my mum looked up the phrase 'what does the Scottish phrase "Smell yer maw" mean'". I lost it at that point knowing full well what the phrase was hahaha
if you didnt notice (i know i didnt), thats peter dinklage of game of thrones fame playing fannybaws. definitely not the crossover i was expecting. also, a favourite of their more popular songs is shipwrecked, but most of their library is amazing.
Peter Dinklage claims he is descended from Fannybaws, hence why he appeared in the video

the keytar always reminds me of that one Wenn diagram, that had a beaver with a guitar on one side, a duck with a keyboard on the other, and where the two overlap, there was a platypus with a keytar.
Garlic songs, be they drinkin songs, or historical tales/legends, have always seemed to translate well into the Hard Rock/Metal genre, i.e. *"Whiskey In The Jar"* by *Thin Lizzy.* (decades later to be covered by Metallica) immediately comes to mind.

Drink and Keelhauled are great tunes of theirs. They have an even heavier pirate vibe. They are almost speed shanties.

These songs all ways pop up when talking about Alestorm but my Favorite song from them is "Nancy the Tavern Wench" it deserves more love than it gets xD though Keelhauled comes right next to it.

Also fannybaws is a bit of a jokey insult in Scottish slang meaning someone who's not all there or a bit daft.
