I RESPECTFULLY disagree w/ you, Sir. Just today in Bangkok - 27 Oct 2024 - the Thai royal family travelled by boat to offer monk robes at the iconic Temple of Dawn, Wat Arun, as part of the end of a Buddhist Lent. 52 barges, 2,400 Navy oarsmen and the elaborate river parade 1.28 km long. The spectacular pomp and ceremony follows its centuries-old protocol to the tee. Look up Royal Barge Procession Thailand 2024 as the Exhibit A to my argument that Thailand is still quintessential Thailand, Covid or no Covid 🙏🙏🙏
